The bottom of the windshield is unusual; note the gap under it. I’m not sure how that is staying in place.
“This is a 1943 GPW Ford army Jeep circa WWII. When this Jeep was puchased, it was badly rusted and in severe need of a restoration. I want to stress that this is NOT a true to 1943 restoration, but its close.
The body was lifted off the frame. The frame was sandblasted and painted with enamel paint. Everything was inspected and replaced if needed. New brake lines and shocks have been installed. New brake pads, wheel cylinders, etc. The wheels were basted and new tires from Coker Tire were installed. The body was also sandblasted and any rust found was cut out and new panels weled in. The floor is new, front to back and sealed with bedliner. This was not a restoration to make this Jeep look new. We wanted a look of an active duy Jeep, so any small dings were left and minimal body work was done. The body was sprayed with the correct Green enamel. New glass was installed in the widshield. The seat were recovered in Army green canvas. New guages were installed, new steering wheel, and new wiring with late model type fuses. It has been converted to 12V. We DO NOT have the shovel and ax.
This Jeep was finished about 1 1/2 years ago, and has had roughly 450 miles put on it. The engine runs great with its new Solex carb. Trans and transfer case work great. This would be great for re-enactments or parades. if you have questions, please call me at 641-682-8469. Good Luck.”
This looks like a great price. It includes an overdrive and f-script parts.
“This is aproximately a 1942 Ford GPW military jeep. It is functionally identical to a Willys MB, with a few cosmetic differences. It does run, but currently needs brake and drivetrain work. The brakes are soft and the transfer case and rear differential leak. It currently has a 2 barrel 289 Ford V8, which is obviously not original. It also has a later model (50’s) Jeep CJ T90 three speed trans and Dana 18 t-case. Its has a power brake setup added from a Mustang. The frame and tub are in decent condition, the frame doesn’t appear to have rust issues. It has its original front and rear axles with, I think, 4:27 gears. It still has a lot of f-script parts. It also has a 50’s vintage Warn Saturn overdrive and lock out hubs, the overdrive, hubs, and f-script parts alone are worth more than the asking price, I just don’t have the space to part it out. Has 16 inch non-combat rims. I do have a title, it is titled as an assembled vehicle and has an Indiana VIN. Thanks.”

“HISTORY OF THE JEEP. 1950 -1975 about it was used by the DNR(still has the sticker on the window) so you know it was well maintained. 1975-1984 about it was used to plow a churches parking lot (well maintained). 1984-1 month ago it was owned by a farmer who stored it in his barn except to plow his driveway. (he was nuts about maintaining his vehicles in a good way). Now I have done the mechanical work on it so it drives and stops and all i have to do is superfisial work to make her pretty. I am willing to trade for another more kid friendly vehicle. All Original 1950 Willys Jeep. I bought it about 1 month ago to restore. I just found out I am going to have my first child so I need to restore something more kid friendly. I replaced all the brakes, wheel studs, whipper parts and have a few extra misc part to put on. The previous owner replace the exhaust, master cylinder and battery. She runs like a top and drives well. Fairly new top no rips or anything. I was really hoping to keep her but it is what it is. I am going to keep fixing it up seeing as though I have about 8 months till the baby comes so if you want to get it cheap then now is the time.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $600.
That’s an unusual hood pop-up.

“Engine is 1967 Buick 225 ci V6, Seats reupholstered, new fuel tank, rebuilt suspension, like-new bikini top”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3999.
The mileage seems a bit low. Also, this VIN doesn’t seem correct.
“Mileage: 8,600 – Body Style: SUV – Exterior Color: Green – Interior Color: Black – VIN: 4J34149 – Engine: 4 Cylinders – Transmission: Manual – Drivetrain: 4WD – Doors: 2
Selling Points: Great truck to drive to the local ice house!Driven very little last 8 years. In last 4-5 years major portions of the vehicle rebuilt or replaced:-Electrical system reworked-Brake system rebuilt/replaced-Fuel pump, fuel tank, fuel lines replaced. (Now has electric fuel pump). No A/C, but the windsheild can be lowered on those hot Texas days. This has been a great vehicle, but I drive it very little and it should be in a home where it is used.
Condition: It runs better now than it has in years due to the major fuel system and brake system work that has been done. However, the paint is faded and peeling. The tires will need to be replaced soon.”
When I was a kid, jeep play/race days were held all over the Pacific Northwest. Whether at the sand dunes, in the forest, under some powerlines, in a boggy area of Everett or at an ORV park, it seemed the places a club could sponsor a playday were unlimited. For a variety of reasons, those days have passed and options for holding 4×4 events are limited.
This is why I was surprised to see a new area that allows some PNW racing (and motorcycle, trucks and atvs as well) called Cadillac Ranch MotorSports. From the website, “Cadillac Ranch Motorsports was started by three brothers who had some unused land that they decided to turn into a destination for excitement. Bring your ATV, motorbike, or truck to our track for a day of outdoor fun.” Check out some sprint racing pics here and some cross country pics here.
From the pics I saw on the website, a few friends and readers have already ventured down for some their outdoor fun, though I haven’t heard any feedback thus far. Even better, it’s only a stone’s throw from my sister’s place in McKenna, so I’ll have to swing by and check it out!
Here are some images from the Cadillac Ranch Motorsports website. This image shows the area in general, which looks great for spectating — you can see an entire run.
This is a pic from a sprint race:
And here are a couple pics from what I assume is a cross country course of some type. In the second pic you can see there is a pretty good line of racers ready to take their turn.
UPDATE: Price dropped to $2500
(05/14/2010) The pics are a little misleading as the engine (chev 283) is pulled and needs the heads rebuilt. This includes a car trailer.

“This is a 49 willy’s jeep in good mechanical condition. The drivetrain has been recently gone through with all new bearings, brakes, drives nicely down the road. Comes with hard top complete with slider window doors, tow hitch, and trailer lights. Has all original running gear not modified or souped up. Body is a little rough, but the thing is very fun to drive in the hills. Has 31″ super swampers that are around 20-30% tread left, air shocks in rear.”

(09/12/09) This could look good with some paint and different seats.
“Shown is a 1947 Willys CJ2A Jeep. It starts easily and is really fun to drive and it runs good. 4 wheel drive works well. PTO works. It has lock-in hubs, 12 volt push button starter and 15”wheels. Back bed has no rust as you can see in the photos. All original except for seats, 15” wheels, new 12volt starter, alternator and battery. It has been shedded for years. We have placed the maximum number of pictures on this listing but we have other fine photos that we will send you if you are interested. This is a very nice chance at an original 1947 Willys that is a good, solid, running jeep.”
