“I have up for sale or trade my 1953 US Army M38A1 Willy’s Jeep. The price is $4,000 OBO but that doesn’t mean that there’s a lot of wiggle room on my price. This Jeep has a clear title but hasn’t been registered. As far as trades go I’m mainly interested in anything military style firearms or firearms related in general but feel free to offer what you got. The Jeep isn’t currently running but it does turn over, clutch and transmission seem to work as they should. This Jeep is mostly original with good tires wheels, body pan, and really won’t take a lot of money or time to get it up and running. Bantaminvented the original WWII jeep and built approximately 2,500 pre-production models prior to Willys and Ford taking over the production of jeeps for WWII in late 1941 and the spring of 1942. Bantam was then relegated throughout the remainder of WWII to buildingthe 1/4 ton ‘jeep’ trailer that was typically towed by either the Willys MB or theFord GPW jeeps.

Originally Posted July 24, 2015: This Willys News article from July 1955 highlights an annual customer jeep demonstration in Plattsburg, New York. That’s the biggest teeter-totter that I’ve ever seen. We used to do something similar back in the 70s as part of payday events.

Carb just rebuilt, brakes were rebuilt last year, new battery, electrical system converted to 12 volt, fluids changed regularly. Has some rust underneath but overall a solid old Jeep that just needs someone that has the time to spend taking care of a 70 year old machine. Title in hand”

“Rare and hard to find Jeep FC-150. This jeep is a great candidate to be restored. It is mostly complete with the exception of a passenger seat. The windshield has no cracks and is in great condition. The body has rust in the typical areas in the rear cab corners. Roof gutter rust pictured is minimal concern as it is all surface rust and roof is solid. Vin # comes back as a cab and chassis series and the wood floor flatbed is from the original owner and the jeep has been parked indoors for the last 20 years. The engine has been swapped and it now has a gm283 which was done by the previous owner. I bought this to restore but have not done any work on other than collecting a few parts which include: extra dash, fuel tank and leaf springs.”
