Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This might be a good deal if you need to replace your CJ-7 body.
“Have a complete new fiberglass body, from the 1 piece front end to rear of the tub, including the windshield frame, body mounting kit, throttle bracket, and How To CD. Also have a 1986 Laredo rusty smashed tub with a Clear AZ title and some other misc parts laying around I’ll throw in. Just the fiberglass would cost you about $2200 plus shipping and tax, I’m thinking a value of around $1500. Looking for a used #7000 car hauler type trailer, tractors, military vehicles, short or long guns, vertical milling machine. Just starting a Willys CJ3B project. Open to most anything. Kind of taking up inside storage space, so I would like to see it on a trailer leaving the yard, before the next project starts taking up space.”

This looks nice enough, but something odd’s has been done to the normal fuel inlet. It’s also got the wrong grille for a 1946.
“1946 Willys Flat Fender Jeep. Excellant Condition for this vehicle, Only minor rust on under structure. All floorboards solid. Odometer reads 17,000 uncertain how many times it has rolled over. Overall very solid vehical for 1946..”

This appears to be a well done conversion with some great details. Check out the extended cab. I noticed the extra window and thought that looked unusual, but the extended cab is so well done that I had to go look at other truck pics to figure out how it was modified. The dashboard looks nicely blended between old and new.
“This is a truly unique vehicle with $20,000+ invested in build. It is a Jeep Willys Cab with a custom oak bed sitting on a 1988 Ford Ranger 4×4 frame and running gear. It also has a custom interior complete with power seats. An incredible amount of time was invested in the extended cab. It looks like it rolled off the assembly line as an extended cab truck.”
Looks solid, though I’m not familiar with the military spoked rims 🙂
“1951 Willys CJ3A For sell!!! I buy old jeeps and restore them then resell. I have done many jeeps over the years… I got this one from the second owner here in Dry Western Colorado who had it for about 15 years on his ranch, it had a hard top on it the whole time so there is NO rust in the jeep. I sand blasted the whole body and wheels, epoxy primed and put WW2 OD green for the paint. It has the flat head four cylinder motor. I rebuilt the carburetor put new points condenser and spark plugs in it. motor runs good, starts right up every time, has good power, does smoke a little blue smoke but not bad at all. Has T-90 transmission. I rebuilt the front brake cylinder, put all new gauges in the jeep with a new speedometer cable. put new canvas seats in the jeep from Surplus City Jeep Parts, they are very comfortable and very well made… The owner before me had replaced the wiring, so that is a year or two old. Comes with the hard top and doors that where on it before I tore it apart if you want it, also comes with rear seat. This jeep is a tight little jeep and is really fun. I have driven in just a few times since I have done the restoration and it drive’s good, I have taken it 50 MPR and it doesn’t rattle or shake like some of the old jeeps. keep in mind its over 59 years old.. I have a Colorado title for the jeep. if you have any questions please call me at (970-210-0680) or email me. Jeep needs just a few things to get her all done such as light bulbs, gas tank sender and and a few other things to get it all done.”

This has a stuck cylinder, but sure looks good otherwise. The seller is will to trade.
“1947 CJ-2A. All original & Complete. L134 Flathead (one cylinder stuck from sitting) does not run at this time. Original running gear. Good shape overall. Some rust at the body mounts, but rest of tub, etc, is good. WA Title. Note: Jeep is located on east side, near Walla Walla, WA.
Best Offer over $1500.00 or Trade: I need a farm type truck with a dump bed/hoist. Doesn’t need to be fancy, but it does need to be roadworthy.

This looks like a good price. Body not perfect, but the jeep runs and drives.

“This listing is for a 1953 Willys CJ3B Jeep. Engine runs good, low miles on a rebuild. Frame is solid except rear cross member needs replacement. Grille, hood, and windshield frame, are in good restorable condition, body tub is rough. I bought this Jeep in the spring with the intent of getting a new steel tub and fenders, also doing a full restoration. I have to many projects at this time and don’t want to leave this outside for the winter. Jeep is all original, as far as I can tell and still 6volt. Engine has 50lbs. oil pressure at idle. Asking price is $1,400 but will certainly consider offers. Questions are welcome and thanks for looking!”

Brett spotted this unusual blend of Willys Wagon and GMC(?) Bus. I can’t say it is the first thing I’d think of when pondering what to put on a bus. Click on the pic below and it will take you to the video. This Bus’0 Wagon is 29 seconds into the video.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $225. I got to check out these hubs and they are in great condition. These aren’t a hub that have a ‘free’ and ‘lock position, rather you use these to replace the full time hub to reduce wear on the front running gear.
