“1947 Willys CJ2A Jeep with 2 additional parts jeeps. Vehicle ran when I parked it by the barn 2 years ago. I haven’t tried to start it since. The hydraulics for the plow have been removed and stored in the barn, but they do go with the jeep. The actual mileage is unknown so I listed it as 999,999 miles. One of the 2 parts jeeps is fairly complete including the engine (I haven’t tried to turn it over). The second parts jeep is fairly complete, but is missing the engine.”
HOG spotted this nice looking CJ-5, though the rear end is a little high.
“You are bidding on a 1955 Willys CJ-5 that has been completely restored, and is in absolutely beautiful condition. Restoration was completed 2 years ago, and has been stored in a heated garage ever since, only to be driven to car shows and for a cruise around town on sunny days. Please read below for a complete description of the different parts of the Willys CJ-5 … lots more info on ebay and more pics here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/42952603@N03/sets/72157625085142976/”
No pics provided.
“New older Best Top soft top with doors, bows, all mounting hardware and instructions – never been installed – still has factory tissue paper protecting the windows. Great condition. Model 51002 fits CJ2A 45 – 49 and MB 41-45. These go for almost $800 . Bought it here advertized as for a CJ5 and discovered after I got home it was for a CJ2A – just looking to get my money back out of it since it won’t fit my Jeep. Would consider trade for a set of 5 original 16″ willys wheels and tires or a good soft top to fit an early CJ5. Joe 920-450-0871”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $150.

(10/04/2010) This might still run if you can put in some gas (bring a boat tank, the hand primer pump and an extra hose).
“I am posting it for my grandpa. Have title, and it has a towbar on front for towing. Ran about 2 years ago until it had a fuel leak at the tank, and was parked. It has two tanks, and 1 leaks.”
No pics provided. The seller will add pics and take bids for 5 days.
“I will post pics of the jeep this week. Rembemer that this is a 42 model that has not been restored. It has light surface rust, but the body is solid metal. I will remove the paint on the ID plate where I can read it better. I will take bids for five days once the pics are online. Thanks”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1000
This might make a good project.
“Willys Wagon 1950 for sale. I’ve owned this wagon for about 15 years. I think it has a Ford 167 straight six. The kid I bought it from in Oregon said that his grandfather owned it and used it for years. I never worked on it. I have all the window parts. It is really straight for a 60 year old wagon. Has a winch. Very minor rust on the tailgate where almost all of the old ones are shot. Warn hubs”
It sounds like the seller knows some history about this flattie.
“1942 Willy’s MB Serial# 125537 directly from The Pacific theater. This is an older restoration showing wonderful patina on the paint with that “been there look”. UPDATE: Was $1200. **SOLD**
This jeepster needs some loving.
“For sale here is a 1949 Willys Overland Jeepster. We believe it is a 1949 as it has a 6 cylinder engine and the flat front grill. It has 5 original hubcaps. It is very complete and seems to be missing only a top clamp and the back seat. The spark plugs are out of the engine, so figure it is locked up tight. The driver’s side is a little rough with some bondo showing and some rust around the front of the rear fender and body. There is major rust in the floor under the carpet but the rest of the car has mostly surface rust. The trim appears to be all there and in good shape. The grill is near perfect. The top bows are all there but fairly rusty. There is no title but I will furnish a bill of sale. I think the car has lots of potential for a restoration project. I can provide a number of other pictures via email.”
UPDATE: Still Available. This is a 2WD Jeep.
“All jewels stainless steel jeep, 2wd, Ford V-6, auto, runs and drives. NO TRADES. Contact Jammer at 206-396-9104 for more info.”

The truck was running when rolled but I can’t confirm anything about condition. Being sold as a complete unit for $500 OBO 818-394-0028.”

(03/05/2009) “1942 jeep universal with original 4 cylinder engine and 3 speed 4×4. New steel body and engine overhaul in 1980’s. Used very little and garaged since the 1980’s. Runs well-needs a paint job and new seats. Price includes tow bar, swing away tire carrier/gas can holders. Jeep is functional, street legal with a clear title. Phone (541) 384-2303.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3800
(08/26/2010) It doesn’t run. I’m not sure if the tailgate was filled in or this is a modified DJ body.
“I have 1946 Willys jeep that was left to me by my father. The jeep was last restored in 1987 so it does need work and currently does not run. Unfortunately, due to the current economy I need to part with it. Hopefully, someone is looking for a project vehicle as well as some fun doing it. Call Mike”
UPDATE: Was $600. **SOLD**
(09/12/2010) “Two Willys Wagons for the price of one! Both are non-running projects that I don’t have time to finish. ’57 is close to complete and stock, including engine and trans. ’62 has altered frame and suspension for off-roading, no engine or trans. Bring your trailer and take them both away. $600 OBO”
UPDATE: This now lives on the East Coast. I got to examine it up close at the 2013 Bantam Festival. The work is excellent. It was bought for $9000. It has more of a surrey look to it now.
I used the IMCDb.org site to attempt to locate an image of the jeep to the right from a shot in the movies. You can see a DJ-3A from Blue Hawaii (not a very good shot). Or the same shot enhanced and cropped to the left. Here’s a link to a shot of the Nutty Professor’s DJ-3A.
This flat fender (the one on the right) falls into the ‘unusual jeep’ category. Apparently, it’s a movie star!
