UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1200
It’s a project, but appears as solid as the seller suggests.
“I BOUGHT TWO WILLYS AT ABOUT THE SAME TIME A FEW MONTHS AGO. I HAD PLANNED TO FIX UP THE 1946 BUT THE WIFE..WELL YOU KNOW…. ” WHY DO YOU NEED TWO JEEPS !! ” OKAY WHATEVER. THE ONE I AM KEEPING DRIVES, BUT NOT IN NEARLY AS GOOD SHAPE AS THE ONE I AM SELLING ! THE BODY IS IN GREAT SHAPE , I HAVE EVERYTHING IT NEEDS TO PUT BACK TOGETHER AND DRIVE EXCEPT AN T90 TRANNY , T18 TRANSFERCASE. THE ENGINE RAN GOOD BEFORE IT WAS PULLED BUT I PLANNED TO PUT A 283 CHEVY V8 IN IT. COMES WITH ALL THE STUFF TO WIRE IT FOR 12 VOLT. TIRES ARE 90% AND THE CHASIS ROLLS EASILY. NO TOP. THANKS , ”
This needs work and is priced a bit high for a project; however, I’m betting this has a variety of drive train updates.
“Project for the Jeep enthusiast! Has been sitting in shop for a while, husband passed away, he started work on it, never finished. Call for what info you want….

(11/14/2010) I think that’s a fiberglass front clip? It is basically a buggy.

(12/06/2010) It’s a 53 with a 63 title, the reasons for that isn’t explained.

Ok, ignore the “no update” post below. I do have one update. I found this article from Popular Science, August 1945, as part of my search (mentioned below).
Given it’s the holidays, calling tonight a Silent Night seems appropriate as I found very few jeeps for sale of interest. So, the few I found I’ll save for tomorrow.
Besides, I’ve been checking out the new Google Books search query and have found some additional family history to add to my geneology research.
Right now I’m doing a search on “Willys Jeep” using Google Books and hope to find something interesting. If I do, I’ll report it tomorrow. Enjoy your night!
Located in Petaluma, California, The Richard Penry Medal of Honor Memorial Military Museum appears to have two Willys. One is well restored (though I have a question) and the Second one is part of a diorama and tipped on its side.
Here’s the first, a Slat Grille MB. These images are from Wikipedia. My question is … isn’t that front cross member from a GPW and not a MB? Or am I missing something?
The back of this MB:
Here’s the tipped over Willys. I couldn’t find a better pic of this.
Roberto has an Expo occurring soon in Spain. Of course, he has to add a Willys to the poster :-). Best of luck with your expo Roberto!
Blaine spotted this unusual item. This appears to be some kind of 100 year celebration of the Philipines. How the Coke/Jeepney tribute add to this celebration is unclear to me.
UPDATE: This appears to have been sold.
There looks to be value here.
“1943 Jeep Ford GPW body complete with very little rust. Have title. Engine does not run but is complete. Has big tires and is painted purple. Great vehicle for restoration or engine upgrade. I have more pictures I can email $500 OBO”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $4500.
(05/22/2010) “1947 CJ2A WILLYS JEEP FLAT FENDER 4 CY MOTOR. ALL STOCK DRIVE TRAIN. GOOD BODY. AND FAIR PAINT 4500.00”
Brett spotted this find. It appears to include an overdrive, so this might not be a good price. It even runs.
“Very cool Jeep CJ-5, Runs and drives but needs a tune up. Way fun to drive and would be an awesome muddin’ machine. This jeep is rare as in its the old military style. It is a manual and has the 3 little shifters along with gear shifter. i dont know much about it come and buy it today!”

This looks sound.
“Engine Purrs Nice, Foot Brake pressure hard to apply. Please Call Jon : @ 575-613-2897.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $20,000
(12/15/2015) It looks nice; is this missing the rear bow holder?
“this is a frame off total restoration with full documentation. i am the second owner. the jeep is totally original with only 500 miles on the rebuilt motor. it is in mint condition, like rolling off of the dealers show room!!”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2000.
The price appears good, however the engine, though running, needs to be replaced for some reason. Also, I would check out the passenger side entrance as it looks either dented or bondoed (or both).
“This is a super cool 51 Willys! This old jeep would be a great project to restore to its glory days! Engine will run, but will need to be replaced.”
Jim asked me to post this hard top he is selling. It looks like it might be a DJ-3A top.
“I removed this top from my 1952 willys m 38 jeep and it does not fit in with my plan to build my jeep, it does not have any doors It did nt have doors when I bought it.It has a little surface rust fiberglass top is in good cond.Sorry I do not have the meens to put pics on. If you are interested please mailto:email.ourcrazyfamily4@hotmail.com”
