“1953 willys ok shape not rusted. 350cu in Stock running gear.. needs restored. call or email.”
Doug spotted these.
“I have two vintage Willys Jeepster or Jeep pick up truck grilles. 1940’s or early 1950’s. New old stock. Found in the attic of an old building that was a Willys dealership back in the 1950’s. Solid straight condition. Still in the red primer. Some surface rust and lots of dirt from years of storage. $285 for the pair. Call Ron 410-273-2489. Aberdeen, Maryland. Thanks!”
UPDATE: All Sold.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3000.
Lindsey noted this might be a CJ-V35, given the hood cut-out and the tow hooks.
“This was licensed in 2009. It was parked when owner had a stroke. Motor is out of a 45 and was rebuilt as his sons highschool project. I’m helping a disabled gentleman who still owns this. Make an offer via text or email.”
UPDATE **SOLD** Was $7495
Check out the front bumper. That’s one of the more unusual bumpers I’ve seen. I might just have to go check that out tomorrow if I can make the time. I find the angles and integrated approach to the winch appealing. The back is more standard, but looks good too.
Gerald found two more pics Ron May’s Jeep, which show what can happen when you drive off course. You’ve seen this first one.
Pete spotted this upcoming suction on the Discovery Channel’s Auction Kings Show. Turns out, the episode is on the web. It was also for sale here for $20k.
My question is, does the auctioneer have any fiduciary responsibility to be honest? Because, to say “this is restored perfectly” is simply dishonest. On the other hand, the seller didn’t know what they were buying, so they shoulder some blame for spending $16,000 (plus any other fees) on this one. It does look great, just not as historical as implied.
Some unique customizations on this nice build.
“This vehicle is titled as a “1946 Jeep”(which would technically be a CJ2a) but has been built with a new Willys GPW steel tub as well as Ford running gear. Windshield is from a CJ3a. This was a custom build to replicate an over the top version of a GPW jeep. It was done professionally and is in incredible condition, mechanically as well as cosmetically.
Engine: Ford 302
Transmission: Ford D5
Transfer Case: Dana 18
Axles: Dana 44 front/rear
Edelbrock 1405 4 barrel carb
New Genuine Jeep Willys metal Tub, with fiberglass fenders.
Gorgeous Paint, soft top is in good codition, but leaks through two small gaps in front. I don’t drive the vehicle in the rain so it never bothered me but the one time I got caught in a Seattle summer rain storm.
Lifted with 35″ Tires on Aluminum Wheels
Custom Bumpers front and rear
Frame is painted a nice Burgandy color. See pics.
Other:
The vehicle has heat. Two heaters, actually. One under each seat.
The vehicle has working turn signals. All gauges work.
Other goodies:
Optima Blue Top battery
Mallory ignition system
Mileage: About 8,000 miles since resoted. I drove the vehicle on a 250 road trip and it did great. Vehicle tracks straight down the freeway at 60 no problems.
Vehicle is 100% new or restored. Beautiful example of a restored Willys.
Note: I am a collector, not a mechanic. I have owned this vehicle and have had no problems with it what so ever. This vehicle is is terrific running condition. Everything works on the vehicle to the best of my knowledge.
Other: Vehicle has three paint flaws. See last three pictures below. They are VERY MINOR and are NOT on the body of the vehicle. The one on the interior windshild is not rusted, it looks like it in the picture, but it is not. The body paint is gorgeous and only has a couple chips on the door sill where your foot would hit getting in and out. Pictures speak a thousand words. Vehicle is being sold as-is, where-is. I will help arrange shipping on this side, but you’re responsible to get it to you and to pay for any shipping charges. There is no warranty on this vehicle express or implied.”
UPDATE**SOLD** Was $3000.

(10/24/2010) It’s got some rust, but drives.
“1948 Willys, 32,721 +/- on the odometer. Guy who had it before me parked it in his garage thinking he would do some body work. Sat for 12 years. I got it thinking I needed another project vehicle. Wife decided I didn’t. Dumped some gas in it earlier this summer and it fired right up. Drove OK but brakes need work. Tires are good including a spare on a matching wheel. Looks to me like everything is there with the exception of a seat-bracket and seat. The lights/trim wipers, steps, etc are in a box. Body has some rust (see pictures) but the frame and drive-train look solid and straight. I have a clear title for this jeep. With a little elbow grease this winter I think this has potential as a fun summer ride. Asking $1,100.00 but would entertain any serious offer.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1650.
It is a project.
“I have a 1957 Willys CJ5 Jeep project. The Jeep has an inline 4 cylinder F-head 134 cubic inch engine matched with a T-90 3 speed manual transmission. It also has high and low range along with 4 wheel drive. The Jeep is currently somewhat tore-down, the half-cab is off along with the hood and both fenders. The engine and transmission are still in tact to each other and still mounted to the frame. The engine runs good but may need some carburetor cleaning. I just don’t have the time to complete the project. Thanks for looking”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $8500.
The price is a bit high, but this would likely make a great restoration candidate.
“1949 Jeep Willys CJ-2A Drivin daily then garaged 6 years ago. Needs TLC. No top but otherwise vehicle is complete (rebuilt motor) and includes a extra motor. Not shown, but I do have the stock tires and rims”
UPDATE: SOLD

Looking for Willys parts or a restorer for your jeep and are located in Canada? You might try Willys Acres at 3224 Line 7 North (Coulson) Oro Station, Ontario, Canada. They have a collection of jeeps for sale, including the Boyer Fire Jeep in the post below.
From the company’s website, “First and foremost, we are a Canadian company that takes pride in the satisfaction of restoring World War II military jeeps and being able to sell very rare jeep parts for those that wish to do the work themselves…. We restore complete vehicles. The customer vehicles in the Photo Gallery are awaiting restoration. Our facilities consist of about 8,000 sq. ft. … We have about 50 jeeps in our Jeep yard, so have a look to see if any suits your fancy.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1400.
It runs, though the body has some dents.
“1957 Military Style Willies Jeep. Runs great, lots of power and is a fun little jeep to drive. It has a Ford 289 V-8 engine, the original 3-speed manual transmission, 4-wheel drive. It has $800 in new parts including; new tires, new soft top, new turn knuckles, new brake pads and new break lines. The body is in excellent condition with no rust or large dents and the paint is in good condition. It is street legal and was licensed last year.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1400.
The engine is out.
“1957 Willies Jeep civilian version. The body is in good condition over all although there is a small amount of rust in the front passenger fender (I’ve included a photo of it), the paint and interior are in fair to good condition and the tires have 75% of the tread left. It comes with the original Hurricane 4 engine which is currently not running because we removed the radiator to start the process of replacing the rear main seal but never got it done. It also comes with the original 3-speed manual transmission. For an additional $1,500 I’ll include a Chevy V8 383 stroker and a new turbo 350 hydro transmission with torque converter. Motor includes all accessories: carburetor, alternator, brackets and pully’s. Also take a look at my 1957 Military style Willies Jeep I have for sale as well. (It’s located in Lindon)”
Brett spotted this. It’s pretty rough. Lots of pics.
“About 5 years ago it was driven around the farm Motor was rebuilt in 1974. I’m helping a disabled gentleman who still owns this and doesn’t know how to use a computer. Text or email with an offer.”
