“Rare and hard to find Jeep FC-150. This jeep is a great candidate to be restored. It is mostly complete with the exception of a passenger seat. The windshield has no cracks and is in great condition. The body has rust in the typical areas in the rear cab corners. Roof gutter rust pictured is minimal concern as it is all surface rust and roof is solid. Vin # comes back as a cab and chassis series and the wood floor flatbed is from the original owner and the jeep has been parked indoors for the last 20 years. The engine has been swapped and it now has a gm283 which was done by the previous owner. I bought this to restore but have not done any work on other than collecting a few parts which include: extra dash, fuel tank and leaf springs.”
1949? CJ-2A Murray, KY $3000
This appears to have a CJ-2A chassis, but, given it lacks the 2A ignition hold in the dash, it might have a 3A body.

Ranger & Remodeling
We’ve had some family visiting this weekend, which is why updates have been thin the last few days. More updates Monday.
First, earlier this week some nearby folks who were moving to the west-side of the state posted their 2015 Full-size Polaris Ranger with Turf mode and low miles (1800mi) plus spray equipment for sale for $7000. The price was too good for us to pass up, so we brought this rig home.
One big reason we got this was that Ann’s knees preclude her from using a stiff clutch (like that of a jeep), so this is a much more practical vehicle for her to enter/exit and drive around the property. In two days it has already proven its value (for fun and work).
The weather hit the mid-60s yesterday, so I’ve been able to get more of the old dove-cage removed. the next step will be to move the propane tank. Meanwhile, I’ll be leveling the dirt in anticipation of adding gravel and then raised garden beds. Here is a before and after comparison (the wood had has been removed and the area is actually partly dug out).
In the meantime, during a cold stretch in late Feb/Early March, we made more progress inside. This time, we’ve completed the remodel of a room that was, under the previous owner, an entertainment room, then it became our bedroom when we moved into he house. Now that we’ve moved into the master bedroom, it has become Ann’s craft room.
Here is a before pic taken by the previous owner:
This photo shows roughly the same angle:
And a few other photos. It is kind of any odd room. We didn’t want to change too much as we are may be remodeling this whole area in a couple years.

1967 CJ-5 Bellingham, WA Auction
Blaine shared this one, too. It has a PTO winch and warn hubs, so there’s a little bit of parts value here.

Newest Authenticast Surrey DJ-3A
eBay has been a bit frustrating lately as there has been a dearth of interesting vintage jeep items to purchase (especially interesting brochures). However, I did spot this Authenticast jeep for sale. The front bumper is broken (which seems the norm), but I do have the broken piece, so I will try to put it back together. Importantly, the straps, fringe and spare tire are all there (these are the three things most often missing).
1948 CJ-2A Piney Flats, TN **SOLD**

1953 CJ-3B Dually/Auger Phoenix, AZ $4000
UPDATE: Price dropped to $4000.

https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/612314290077474
“This Jeep was sitting for many years. It was an auger during its working life. I got it from a guy who installed fences along property lines in Apache County in Arizona’s White Mountains, intending to get it running but it became a project that went to the back burner.
I took the head off to see why the engine did not turn completely over and discovered that one of the valves is stuck. The cylinders are smooth and free of any scoring and the pistons move freely up until the point where the valve sticks. The Jeep was down due to a broken gear in the auger’s drive mechanism not because there was a problem with the engine or transmission. The original F head engine had been swapped out with a CJ2A L head engine.
I bought a bunch of parts for it. I have a replacement starter, distributor, carburetor, rear drivers side brake drum(already installed), master cylinder, brake lines, wheel cylinders and rebuild kits, shift knobs and rubber boots, etc. I even bought a new 6 volt battery for it but never installed and now due to sitting, it fails to hold a charge. It may be salvageable by opening the case and desulfering it. They are all included. All the parts for the auger are there including the broken pinion gear that needs to have the broken teeth built up or a new gear made up.I am selling it as is as I do not have the time to continue it.
