HOG pointed out these unusual tent trailers. This comes from an article at Jpfreek.com about outfitting a multi-day adventure.
UPDATE: It turns out this was a MB (was listed as a ’46). And it sold to the first caller. It was listed at $2500.
There’s value, but I can’t quite tell how much. The might be a WWII body.

Bob is selling his truck. It has NO rust and has a recently rebuilt engine. It would likely make a great restoration candidate.
“Pickup has been in barn the last 6 years, has been run periodically, no rust. Bought for retirement project, now have no time for it. It has: Rebuilt 4 cylinder engine (original was a six),3 speed with high/low 4 WD, manual overdrive, clear title.”
UPDATE: Was for sale for $1900. Status unknown.
There might be some value here. The seller wants to get rid of this.
“Hi , I’ve got a 1952 Jeep Willys that has been sitting in my garage for quite a while now. It’s not in great shape , but for the most part still pretty solid. Has some rust , has a hole in front drivers floor board. It’s a 6 volt system , but if I remember correctly , my father in law told me it was converted to 12 volt. All the glass is original , as well as the body and interior parts. It’s interior has been mostly gutted. The motor is original to my knowledge and was overhauled not long before it was put in storage. It’s full time 4 wheel drive , but the front axle was taken out by my father in law , I believe to help with fuel mieage , when he was driving it. I have been wanting to fix it up , but with bills and kids , it’s not going to happen for a while longer. ”

Ooops. I guess I was tired last night! After a few updates to ewillys, i went out for some Pho Noodle Soup, came back to my motel room (I’m in Salt Lake for a couple days) and planned to do more updates. Instead, I closed my eyes for just a minute and … boom … I was out. So, I’ll sneak in some more this morning.

(02/22/2011) Kind of a strange place to park this jeep?
“1958 Willys jeep cj6. 4 cylinder 3 speed. Lots of new parts. Good running and driving jeep. Perfect for a ranch or hunting truck. 3000 or best offer. Might trade for straight axle Toyota 4×4 or muscle car. Thanks for looking.”
The bumper on back looks unusual, but I can’t see much more than that. Also, it doesn’t look like the Ballard area, but maybe the jeep is located elsewhere?
“This Willys has had new drive train installed has only 500 miles on it. new warn winch and hubs.
Call 206- 280- 7179”

“it is pretty rough but does run. engine has been replaced with a 70’s mustang in line 6.”
UPDATE: Joe reports this is a VEC CJ-2A. **SOLD** Was $850.
“1946 Willys Jeep with TITLE!! Desperate need of restoration. I last remember using this vehicle in the 1970’s, for pulling trees, hauling & just having fun. I understand that it needed a fuel pump back then, and unfortunately… No one has moved forward with Willy’s care”
After initially purchasing this CJ-2A, Diego shared some pictures with me. It was pretty rough and I knew he was had plenty of work ahead of him. He recently completed it, especially considering the rough condition of the original, has turned out really nice.
Diego write, ‘I finally finished my project after almost two years. It has sometimes been a pleasure and sometimes a pain in the neck, but at least I’m pretty happy with the results. And even though is CJ2A post war jeep, I gave it a military theme. I always like the military style.”
Well done Diego!
You can see the entire transformation here.

HOG forwarded this. Who thinks up these things? What’s the thought process like? Well, I have this jeep and I have this boat … what to do, what do …. maybe I should install the boat on the jeep frame, but not make it able to float. Brilliant! Whoever did it gets a point for daring to do something really different.
“Who doesn’t want a 4wd JEEP powered 17′ Stick shift Galaxy boat! I wish I had the time to put this thing back on the road myself, but my lack of time and loss of storage is your gain! What I have for sale here is a 1974 Jeep CJ5 with the body cut off and a Galaxy 17′ boat hull attached!
It has been in storage since the early 1980’s. It was really well done! No it’s not amphibious but it is fun and you know there will not be another one at the drive thru or out on the trail! It ran and drove when it was put away but needs some work to go back on the road now. The 258ci strait six Jeep motor turns free and the manual transmission feels ok. The brakes need to be gone thru totally, the master cylinder is missing but is a stock jeep piece and can be bought at any auto parts store, all of the mechanical parts are actually readily available because they are jeep.
Its a fiberglass 17′ Galaxy hull that can be painted or polished back to a shine! I flat towed it from where it was so I know everything spins and turns. Unfortunately THERE IS NO TITLE OR PAPERWORK for it so it will be sold with just a bill of sale for the Jeep vin number. This is 100% as is no warrantee no guarentee!”
It’s a bit dirty, so I can’t tell the condition of the body.
“i have a badasss 1949 original willys jeep its got a 283 high performance chevy small block in it. its on 31s and its got dual exhaust with cherry bombs the body condition is perfect! very clean and extreamly powerful it runs perfect theres nothing wrong with it. also has a 2 inch block lift on it im selling because i need a new dirt bike i am up for some trades but only for equal value im asking $2600 if you are intrested in buying or trading txt me at 928-308-6291”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $300.
Does anyone recognize that top?
“Pictures show it all. The only thing that is gone from pictures is the front finders. This is Just a body and frame, No engine or transmition.Jeep goes for $200 and hard top goes for additional $100. Take one or both”
It’s not entirely stock, but looks solid.
“For your consideration is my 1942 Willys MB Army Jeep. I restored this Jeep several years ago and it gets used very little so I have decided to part with it. When restoring the Jeep I took the body off of the frame and installed new brakes (wheel cylinders, pads, master cylinder, brake lines) and painted the frame. I also undercoated the body. The engine is a flat head four cylinder but I am not sure it is original to the Jeep. I was told it was probably a little later model engine and that it had been gone through. The only thing I have done to the engine was to install new plugs, wires, distributer cap, rotor, etc. I also had the carb rebuilt and converted the Jeep to a 12 volt system with new electrical wiring. The engine sounds very good and does not smoke or use oil. The transmission and transfer case do work. I had the transmission rebuilt and it works well but it is sometimes difficult to get into second gear. It seems to be getting better with use. All gages are in good working order and the speedometer is new. The seats have been recovered as can be seen in the pictures. I also installed a new correct fuel tank and the Jeep has new tires on it. This Jeep is missing very little to make it complete. I do not have a top or top bows, what you see in the pics is what I have.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3500.
This looks like it needs a closer inspection.
“1946 willys jeep CJ2 B. Needs battery and gas tank. will run $3500 OBO.”
This looks in great shape.
“This is an almost original 1949 Willys Jeepster, except for the paint and upolstery. It is 2 wheel drive and only 79720 original miles. The vehicle ran 5 years ago when it was put in storage and it will run again with little effort. Please contact 716-864-7107 for more information and to schedule an appointment”
It’s rough, but unusual. The seller buys and sells old flatties.
“Up for auction is a 1951 Willys M38 US Navy Radio Jeep. This jeep originally had a radio set in it. There is no motor in the jeep at this time but I have a willys flat head 4 cylinder engine that goes with the jeep. The jeeps body is in good shape with very few to no dents. There is some rust on the passenger side of the jeep ( see pictures ) but other than that the jeep is in extremely good shape. The hood numbers are starting to come through the paint, so sanding it lightly will bring through the original US Navy hood numbers. The frame is in great shape with no cracks or rust other than slight surface rust here are there. Still has both bumperrets but missing the pintle hook. Has original front seat frames, gas tank, wheels and many other parts that are hard to find. All the data plates are still on the dash along with the radio set data plate located on the glove box door. This jeep would be a great restoration project. Comes with a clear Colorado title. sold as is where is. I can possibly ship the jeep depending where you are located. Or I know of some really good shipping company’s to ship it for you and they are very reasonable. If you have any question please feel free to call me at (970-462-7760) If you would like more pics let me know and I would be happy to send them to you, happy bidding.
I Buy, Sell and Trade Military and Civilian Jeeps, Trucks and Trailers. So if your looking for something I don’t have listed I might have it or be able to get it for you. I will be getting 4 more jeeps that will be for sell within the next few weeks, they will be a 1950 early m38, a m38a1, and 2 cj2a jeeps. Give me a Call (970-462-7760).”
