“Selling for a friend, jeep is located in Crescent City.

AMC 304 V8 engine:
Engine was professionally built in Phoenix Oregon. Engine has been balanced, blueprinted, line honed, decked, slabbed, ported, and polished. Bored 10 over. TRW flat top pistons have been fly cut for the proper valve relief. Heads are the highly sought after and coveted pre smog 3196291C small chamber with the dog leg ports. Original factory heads were 58.92 cc with 1.625/2.025 valves. These heads have been professionally reworked per the American Motors “Performance American Style” guide to high performancing AMC engines (original AMC book included). Heads are the 291C 50.60 cc with balanced chambers. Original factory compression ratio was about 7.2:1 Flat top pistons and the small chamber heads now put this engine slightly over 10.4:1. Rods were all balanced and shot peened.Cam is a 274 duration .500 lift hydraulic
Listed as a 1946, the grille suggests it is later than that. The hardtop looks to be for a CJ-5.

“Used was run about 25 years ago”

In 1954, as part of the newly developed marketing campaign following Kaiser’s purchase of the Willys assets in 1953, Willys Motors created ‘Jeep’ Fire engine brochure SX-229-4, the front page of which is seen below (thanks to the CJ-3B page):
I was able to finally purchase the subsequent version of the ‘Fire Engine’ brochure, Form # W-229-5. It’s essentially the same brochure as the 1954 version, accept they’ve replaced the 3B with a CJ-5 Fire Jeep. The rest of the art work uses the same CJ-3B images from the 1954 brochure.
This 2A has a variety of updates.

“1961 Jeep with plow – runs but needs some work. No title but you can get a salvage title. Call Walt for details [hidden information] – as is, where is.”
This may make a good restoration candidate. The speedometer is wrong for the year.

“Jeep CJ5 for sale best offer. This Jeep is 100% factory equipment. Runs, drives, 4WD works, manual transmission, lights work, runs well 4 cylinder F head hurricane; could use a carb tune up. Garage kept since 1973, 108,000 original miles. Frame is SOLID rust but no rot. Tub, fenders, grill, and hood are very solid; a little bit of rust, but very solid for the year. Needs brakes and a windshield and it would be road ready. Message if you have questions; I can send video of the Jeep starting and running upon request. A MUST SEE for any Jeep enthusiast. I have title, appropriate year license plates and all paper work from original owner. Continue reading
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $5500.
A reader by the name of Brent has this solid looking CJ-5 for sale. It’s set up for some hunting with the elevated rear seat. It doesn’t have a title, but will have a bill-of-sale.
“For sale is my 1961 Willys CJ-5. Some of the improvements over the last 2 years include new tires (already slimed), installation of Warn winch, custom built high rack complete with cooler storage (cooler not included), water jug storage, removable expanded metal trash can, spare tire holder, and a tilt-up floor. The carburetor has been rebuilt, electric fuel pump installed to prime the existing mechanical pump, hard wired battery tender on the inside wheel well, pertronix ignition (replaces the need for points in the distributor).
Five years ago we did a major overhaul which included the following (all new/replaced): master cylinder, valve job, rear brake hose, radiator, radiator hoses, thermostat, fan belt, ignition switch, starter, gas tank, sending unit, fuel line, new transmission, new transfer case, new steering wheel, new seats, new glove box, new fender flares, and finished with a flat OD green paint.
F-134 engine runs and drives good. 4WD works fine. No title; will provide bill of sale.”
This jeep has a fiberglass body, but also appears to have a Tux Park package.

Someone need a parts M-170?
https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/281804003510195/
“Rare jeep m170 military ambulance, body rough but intact, frame good, needs rear x member, missing seats and windshield, no title, but not hard to acquire through Vermont. most parts interchage with cj5/m38. Engine did run last year, and has excellent compression, don’t miss this opportunity to own a very rare military jeep.”
This is a non runner with a Kelly hardtop. The bumper is unusual. This has the 0-8 KS speedometer with the needle still intact (a rarity).

“Body, frame, and title from 1961 Willys CJ6 Jeep. The CJ6 is a rare model that was a 20” stretched CJ5. I will delete this ad as soon as sold. If interested, please send me an email with your first name and city. Include your telephone number if you’d rather discuss on the phone. Because scammers like to send “Is it still available” messages to harvest email addresses, I will ignore those”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $12,500.
Appears fairly stock.

“This is not a CJ5, but a CJ6. Very rare and not many imported. It is 20″ longer than a CJ5. Very cool. Runs great with lots of new parts…full fuel system and full electrical system. If you are looking for one you found it.”
UPDATE: Status Unknown. Was $2000.
This has the early reversed springs and a (broken) 0-8 KS speedo.
“I have a good 56 Jeep project that was sitting in a barn for about the last 30 years. It does not run. Complete and not dissassembled. Very solid body. Will require some rust repair on the right front floor and possibly the left front floor also. This is a project that needs restoration. I was told the engine was rebuilt many years ago and it was driven into the 90s. Bill Of Sale only. Two new front tires. Rolls well for loading. This is a project vehicle that is in good condition for being 65 years old.”
UPDATE: Colin pointed out that this is likely a DJ-5 and not a CJ-5. Besides the points he makes in the comment, you can just make up the passenger rear rim which only has four lug nuts.
Blaine spotted this rare airport-baggage-modified DJ-5 for sale.
https://spokane.craigslist.org/pts/d/nine-mile-falls-jeep/7362095511.html
“For sale is a jeep was told it was an old military jeep not sure on what year it is was told it was a 46 But couldn’t find the year in the trim tags no title could with a bill of sale asking 650”
A custom stretched DJ-5.
https://houston.craigslist.org/cto/d/houston-jeep-dj5-modified/7360059170.html
“Wow this is cool – what kind of Jeep is this exactly? From Europe? South America? Is this Korean war era? Falkland Islands? Northern Ireland? These are the kinds of questions I get which is a lot of fun. If you don’t like attention, this is not the Jeep for you.
It started out as a retired postal Jeep (DJ5). I’ve since extensively modified it to be of roughly the same dimensions as the rare Willys CJ6. Frame stretched 18” with lots of hand fabricated body modifications, roll bars, etc. Custom safari top (the only top), new seats & seatbelts, Bluetooth stereo. I tossed the tired 4-banger and swapped in a stout Ford 302 & C4 automatic. Engine has 351 heads, 4bbl, new electronic distributor, water pump, radiator, exhaust manifolds, battery, etc. etc. Fairly aggressive cam, sounds great. Way more motor than this light truck needs, but it is fun.
The writing on the door suggests this was a ranch vehicle out of Meeker, Colorado. The Koenig half top looks in good shape.

“Rare barn find. Original 1960 “Farm Hand” CJ5. Original, removable, fully enclosed cab. Runs and drives well. 4 wheel drive works well also. Front rods and steering updated with new old stock (got rid of “death wobble”). New and correct fuel pump, plus and electric fuel pump for cold morning starts. Great patina and original Colorado farm logo on the doors.”
