“1958 Willys Wagon. Runs good. No major rust. Original motor with new alternator and battery. Makes a good start for complete restoration. “
This looks nice.
“Found in a barn 20 years ago, have been slowly restoring it over that long time. Runs and drives fine. This one originally came with an aluminum officers insulated cab. It was built in the middle of the only 60k that were produced. All Beechwood canvas original interior and top. Used only in parades and shows, have trophies.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2999.
This appears in good shape, but doesn’t run.
“Easy restoration, very solid and original, not running, rare original transmission-driven PTO and towbar, garaged in Antioch, CA. ”

“1949 Willys. Ready to be restored. Have Title. $1000.00 OBO. Please call (208) 437-2780 with questions.”
This is a project, but the engine spins.
“I decided to sell a project I had aquired a few years ago from an estate sale, but haven’t had the time to even get started on it. It’s a 1960 Willy’s Wagon that looks like someone started to put a 1980 CJ 258 – 6 cylinder engine and 3 speed trans in but didn’t get any further–no drive shafts. They also pulled the interior and side glass out, but it looks like most, if not all of it was left inside, including the seats. It must have been sitting untouched for years, but the engine can be turned over by hand. Can’t start it because it lacks a starter and distributor. Body is straight with a couple minor dings and surface rust. Don’t see any body rot or cancerous rust. I have the original title for it. Price is $1400 OBO. email: mog404@sbcglobal.net or call 818.886.5730 Located in Northridge, California 91324″

The clutch is getting weak. Jeep will work great for plowing a smaller driveway or driveway at cabin. Asking $650obo”
This has a few issues, including a brushed on paint.
“Up for auction with no reserve is a cj2a it is titled in 47 but built in 46 serial number 50509. The jeep looks great from 5 feet away but paint was brushed on. It starts right up with no problems but smokes and drives great steering is very tight and it has turn signals. The jeep is converted to 12v the tub is in very good shape but would need some work to beable to put in car shows the fenders are unbelievable how solid they are it comes with 2 windshields and 2 hoods please look at the pictures. UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2500
(09/19/2011) The engine is apart and floor needs work.
“Very rare 1959 Jeep FC-170 pickup truck with 9 foot steel bed. Have looked all over the country in Craigslists and cannot find another.
Truck was disassembled and body work, sanding and primer done and reassembled. Contineltal L-226 engine disassembled for inspection. Probably needs bearings, rings, valves ground and reassembled (or else install engine of your choice).
It has HD 3-speed trannsmission, drive shafts, good radiator, good tires. Doors are good and straight – they
open and close easily, need new door seals (door to body). Both original bucket seats need recovered.
Truck is original – not lowered, raised or modified in any way.
The floor in bed needs replaced, or a piece of sheet metal or wood layed on top of existing floor. It apparently has set outside and the bed floor rusted. The floor support cross members are good and solid.”
UPDATE: Still Available
(08/04/2011) The seller says to put “Willys” when replying to the add (to weed out spam).
“1950 Willys, been converted to a 12 volt system., been painted a few times in the last 60 years, New flywheel ring gear, engine has been rebuilt a few year ago, other then that its mostly original. Runs great, We drive it almost every week in the summer, I don’t know how much to ask for it yet, Its hard to find compairable Willys like this one. I’m putting it out for offers. After a couple days in Omaha, we are cruising to Colorado Springs for the weekend to visit my Ann’s friends. The weather so far has been perfect, with beautiful blue skies. We have only had two near misses (cars switching lanes into us — you’d think a bright red mustang would be easy to see against the endless brown fields, but, nope, some drivers just seem intent on making our drive that much more interesting). I had my first Runza while in Omaha, which is a lot like a Russian Piroshki, but not deep fried. It won’t be my last.
Thankfully, the mobile broadband is functioning beautifully, hence the updates this afternoon. On Monday we will be in Denver for two meetings I have, then on Tuesday we head back to Omaha.
Paul forwarded me some images from a friend of his who built this hunting jeep for a client. I think there is some nice work here. Thanks Paul! My weapons specialist gf thought it was very cool!
Paul wrote, “this M-38 was built by a friend of mine (Rob Fife), who is a master at fabrication. He restored the M-38 for a customer, who then decided he wanted a hunting rack on it. He built the frt/rear racks to be quick attach, with quick pins, and the rear seat mounts on pedestals so it can be used front or rear. Then the customer decided he wanted to use in parades so gun mounts were added for (3) airsoft m60’s for crowd control. It handles good and isn’t too top heavy.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay
“I AM LISTING THIS WILLYS FOR MY SON. SO, RIGHT NOW MY DESCRIPTION MAY NOT BE ALL INCLUSIVE UNTIL HE REVISES IT. THIS IS A NICE RUNNING WILLYS THAT DOESN’T NEED ANYTHING TO BE A DAILY DRIVER. CURRENTLY BEING USED AS A TOY, THE WILLYS IS GARAGE KEPT IN A CLIMATE CONTROLLED ENVIRONMENT. IT RUNS NICELY AND HAS THE NORMAL TOP SPEED OF 45MPH. THE INTERIOR IS BASIC WILLYS WITH NO FRILLS. IT DOES HAVE SOME SMALL ROT SPOTS IN THE STORAGE COMPARTMENT UNDER THE PASSENGER SEAT AND SOME SPOTS ALONG THE INSIDE OF THE REAR WHEEL WELLS. THE PICTURES SHOULD SHOW IT IF ENLARGED. IT COMES WITH A CANVAS TOP AND DOORS. GAUGES ALL WORK EXCEPT THE GAS GUAGE. THE ACTUAL MILEAGE OF THE WILLYS IS UNKNOWN. I PUT 50000 TO FILL IN THE UPPER BLOCK AND MAKE EBAY HAPPY. THE WINDSHIELD IS INTACT. IT OPENS OUT AND IT ALSO FOLDS FORWARD. THE TIRES ARE NEW. IT HAS NO MAJOR ROT OR DENTS ON THE EXTERIOR. THE PAINT JOB WAS DONE BY THE PREVIOUS OWNER WITH A RATTLE CAN BUT IT DOESN’T LOOK TOO BAD. COULD USE THE RUBBER CAB MOUNTS ON THE REAR AND ALL OF THE OTHER MOUNTS ARE IN GOOD CONDITION. IT ALSO HAS A PTO FOR A 3 POINT HITCH IN THE REAR. WE WERE TOLD THAT THIS WAS A FARM TRUCK IN NORTH JERSEY. THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT IS NEAT AND CLEAN. IT HAS ALL NEW METAL BRAKE LINES, WHEEL CYLINDERS AND HOSES. IT HAS ALSO BEEN CONVERTED OVER TO 12 VOLT. THIS IS A COOL LITTLE TRUCK TO TOOL AROUND IN AND IT DEFINITELY TURNS HEADS OF THOSE IN THE KNOW. CLEAN TITLE IN HAND.”
Ran a couple years ago.
