Roberto forwarded his latest drawing to me. I think he had a lot of fun drawing this one!
He wrote, “It´s a a cartel or poster drawn for the 18th International Meeting of Classic Military Vehicles of the Guixaró 2012, Catalonia, Spain, organized by the Classic Motor Club of the Bages, Catalonia, Spain. I call it “Where is Willys?”…Obviously, after the influence of “Where´s Wally?” art.”
Mike reports that the Albuquerque scams are back. He reports that he “responded yesterday to an ad (too good to be true) for a running flattie 1940’s jeep with pto winch for $500 located outside of ABQ., NM. (just needed a tuneup and minor radiator repair)” After he emailed the seller, the post/scam was quickly pulled. So, if you see something ridiculous coming from that area, please report it.
Thanks Mike!
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $4500
The paint job is unusual, but this looks nicely built.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $5000.
“I am selling my 1954 Willys Jeep Station Wagon. This is a rare Jeep and I have not seen one like it driving around. The Jeep is in good condition for its age. I starts every time and runs like a champ. Under the hood is the original inline 6 Super Hurricane. It has a new radiator and an overdrive (both of which are worth some cash by themselves). On the interior, the oak floorboards are all intact and have been refinished. All of the seats are also intact however the fabric is ripping in some places. The worst part about the Jeep is there is some body damage on the driver side, rear quarter panel. There is some minor surface rust around the wheel wells however, other than the damage, they body and paint is in good condition. Included in the sale are some extra seats, two spare tires (one of which is the original spare), and misc. extra parts. I am asking $5,000 obo. The Jeep will be sold as is for cash or a cashiers check.”
This looks like a good price.

“1946 Willys CJ2A This is a Parts Vehicle Only with NO TITLE Complete Vehicle Less Gas TankThis CJ2A comes with a non running Go Devel 4 cly motor with full drive train. The windshield and Windshield frame was updated to a CJ3A one pc windshield. The vehicle rolls freely and can be easly loaded on a trailer or flatbed truck. There are no VIN plates on the Willys.Tires are miss matched and are old, but do hold airThis vehicle was parked for a long time and the Motor seem to be stuck , but I has put Oil and Diesel Fuel down Cyl s with the idea of freeing up motor. The Tranny and Transfer Case goes into all gears. The Willys looks as if it has a soft top on it at one time, but it comes with no top.I purchased this vehicle with the idea the parts would work on my Willys ,but it seems my Newer Willys parts are diff from this Willys so im selling.Body has been patched over the years all gauges are in the dash and it show around 65,995 miles , but unsure of miles on vehicle. There is a low reserve on this vehicle. This Willys is located at Pgh Pa 15215. This is Sold as Parts Vehicle Only..”
UPDATE: Was on eBay. **SOLD**
The seller is not sure what the model is, though the title say 1942. I’d say it is a CJ-3A.
“We do have a TITLE and a Notorized Bill Of Sale Only ))….NO KEYS……. I took this Jeep on trade and I had it running on starter fluid .. I have since lost the keys and interest in it…. ,, …. Does have some rust I took as many pictures as I could … Do not bid if you do not have the money to pay for it….. Full payment is due with in 7 days of close of auction.”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $1995
(10/27/2010) “Up for sale is my ’51 Willys M38. Think of it as a beefed up CJ3.
NADA Classic Car Price Guide (for the civilian version- the CJ3) lists low retail @ $4,489.
This vehicle runs and drives and I have a clear title.
Has a Ford “Pinto” 4 cylinder with good power but it needs a tuneup. Original transmission and 4X4components are in place and working and there are working manual front hubs.
THE GOOD:
– body (tub and fenders) and hat channels are very solid.
– frame is solid.
– windshield frame is original and solid but the glass is cracked.
– 4 new off road tires mounted on new wagon wheels.
– newish gas tank.
– newish muffler/tailpipe.
– brand new battery.
THE BAD:
– has a civilian CJ hood but it’s in good shape.
– hand painted
– brakes are very weak- probably needs cylinders and perhaps master cylinder rebuilt
I’ve decided to use my spare time for my boys not my toys. I don’t need to sell so PLEASE NO LOW BALL OFFERS. My price if fair.
This Jeep obviously came originally from somewhere that they don’t rust much.
Please no calls after 8PM. I will consider delivering within 50 miles of Baltimore.
James; 240- five two oh- 4632.”
UPDATE: Still Available
(11/09/2011) This looks solid.
“This is a 51 Willys Overland pickup. She runs well and would be excellent for restoration. It has the f134 motor in it and is mostly original parts. There are minor issues such as it needs a new wiring harness.and a good tune up to dial it in. There is some rust, but nothing real significant. It was given to me from my grandfather and I drove it from Spokane 10 years ago. It has been kept covered and dry. I have recently driven it around and she does fine. A video of it can be seen on youtube at 51willyspuyallup.give me a call to see it. Shawn 253 590 6146”

We arrived safely in Pasco, Wa, this evening, 6500 miles after beginning our journey. Thanks to everyone who shared time with us and we look forward to see those we didn’t get a chance to see on this trip (hopefully this summer). We will spend a few days here (At Ann’s Mom’s house) before heading up to Seattle to drop off the paintings. No updates tonight, but more tomorrow.
UPDATE: Bob from Ohio bought this. I can’t wait to hear more about it. Was listed at $1000.
Bob forwarded this to me via the CJ-2A Page. It’s an odd duck. I am thinking it it is a shortened Jeepster on a CJ frame.
“46 Ford Jeepster a one of a kid. Needs a lot of work but has a lot of potential. I bought the car 16 years ago and haven’t had the time or money to get it restored. It has some transmission problems and other minor problems, dead battery, etc. Has new tires. I need to sell it as soon as possible and the price is negotiable..”
