It runs and drives, however I can’t agree that “everything is as it should be”.
“1945 military jeep made by Ford GPW. It’s the same thing as a Willys and parts are interchangeable. The original 4 cylinder was pulled and a V6 from a 53 was installed. There is surface rust but no holes or anything bad. The jeep runs and drives great and the 4wd and everything is as it should be. Might trade but cash is preferred. $1000 731-607-1405”

(10/27/2011) It looks very nice.
“This is a 1956 Willys Jeep 1/2 ton 4 wheel drive Flatbed. The engine is the original 226 Hurricane 6 cyl. It runs well. The bed is a hydralic lift system which works very well as does the 4 wheel drive. The truck does need some electrical work (tail lights, turn signals) Considering the year of this truck, it is in near excellent condition! Please! Serious inquiries only. No emails”
UPDATE: Still Available
(10/13/2011) I’m assuming the model number is an error?

It seems one of the updates I did to the site yesterday broke it this evening, leaving me unable to do any updates (lol). After a little time, I was able to fix the problem so everything works again (I hope). So, I will delay updates until Thursday morning.
Bob reports he spotted this last week while driving in the Florida panhandle. This was right along the Alabama-Floridastate line on route 231 north of Marianna.
This looks like a good price.

I hope every enjoys their Christmas and has a Happy New Year!
James wrote me this evening about a wonderful surprise from Walcks4wd. Congrats James!
“Merry Christmas Dave! Hope you and your family are having a good Christmas this year! I woke up this morning and Santa was very good to me. I opened presents from Mom and Dad and later was sitting in our living room listening to some Tony Bennet and Frank Sinatra Holiday music.
I opened up my email and Santa had left another present for me. I won the 2011 Walcks4wd Wishlist! They made my Christmas wishes come true! I want to thank Carl Walck and his family and wish them a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
I also want to thank you Dave. Through your website, I found Walcks4wd. They have the most authentic and highest quality parts around. I would recommend them to anyone restoring or fixing up a jeep. They are truly good people. Thanks again and have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! James.”
Peter is looking for a specific hood ornament for his Wagon. Contact him at Peterkramer1949@aol.com
“Hello folks and greetings from Germany. The last thing I would need to end the restauration of my ’53 Willys Wagon on a ’83 CJ 8 frame & drivetrain is a 3 wing hood ornament which was used from ’53 to 64. Used will be O.K. and the shipping adress is CA. Thanks for checking your stock and best wishes for the holidays.”
Here is an example of one:
Brett spotted this one just before Christmas. The auction is over. Bidding didn’t reach the reserve price. However, I thought it was interesting.
