“For Sale, this is a good, solid ole jeep. It has the original 4 cylinder flat head engine and everything, including the 4wd, works. It won’t win any races, but it will climb a telephone pole! We have used it many years on the ranch for hunting and building fence. I had plans of restoring it but thats not going to happen in the near future. We recently bought a UTV (because my wife and mother don’t like the standard tranny on the jeep) and we are not using this jeep like we need to. I hate for a machine to set without running so we have decided to sell it. It is ready to go to work or would be a good restoration project.”

(03/01/2012) “I have a 1947 Willy’s Jeep project. It is rough. The front drive line is missing, the clutch & brake pedals are frozen to the floor, the fenders ARE there, not bolted on. It has a Chevy 350 in it, NOT RUNNING. The electrical system needs to be finished. There are no seats in it. The body has surface rust, but NO places eaten thru. It needs a lot of work! I’m letting everyone know now that it is no where near road ready. But does have a lot of potential. It has the rare hardtop, & power take off, it has a winch. The passenger side door is a little bent. So if you call me & want to take a look that’s great! But if I have someone telling me all the things wrong with it or try to give me $500, I’m going to simply say “have a nice day get off my property.” I’m tired of all the ridiculous people w anting it for free. The transmission & transfercase alone are worth $750. Also I am selling it AS-IS, no guarantees. It is on a NON – OP, I am selling it with a bill of sale only. (07/26/2011) There may be an issue with the title.  There appears to have been some good work done on the chop.

“1951 Willy’s Station Wagon (SUV, but before the term “SUV” was created) Model 4-63.

Top Chopped — hole in roof was cut out for a sunroof prior to me purchasing it. Most (if not all) trim pieces, side window hardware, interior body coverings, seats & more included. Has original engine. A couple of years ago I rebuilt the carburetor and the engine started right up (after some priming, of course), but it ran fine. Have a reprint of the original Owner’s Manual & a copy of the Mechanic’s Manual. Tires hold air for a day or so, but they are pretty old. This is a 4-wheel-drive vehicle, but I had some problems getting it into 4×4. Some of the gears in the transmission don’t want to engage. It has been a while since I last drove it at all, but I believe reverse worked.”

“1948 Willys Jeep CJ2A:  This Jeep is in the process of a frame-off restoration. It is not finished yet…but a lot of the hard work is done. The engine is rebuilt. It has a new carburetor, radiator, all tune-up items, belts, hoses, etc. It comes with new floors. The frame is painted (has a few scratches). The body is sandblasted and ready for minimal rust repairs and floor replacement. It comes with a Skyjacker suspension lift (as well as the factory suspension), roll bar, etc. Lots of new parts are included (brake parts, bearings and seals, etc.). It is complete other than a few little things missing (easy to obtain parts). I also have a manual printed in 1966 from Jeep that will be of assistance. The Jeep has a lot of potential and will make a great project. This is a rare toy.

I don’t have the title…I was going to wait until it was completed to get the title. It does have the firewall plate with the VIN. I will provide a bill of sale. It is simple in Kansas to get a title for older vehicles…I can assist if necessary.The price is $3250 obo. Trades are a possibility. I may need something you have (I have a few projects that I am working on). It never hurts to ask. Maybe we can work something out…Feel free to contact me if you would like to see it for a personal inspection. I will be happy to show you around.
