“1941 ford gp pre war prototype for willys jeep…It is in good condition and runs ( all though not at the moment) It has a 9n tractor engine in it now… The orignal engine block goes with it and appeares to be in good condition…”
UPDATE: I had the wrong link associated with the pic. It is fixed now.
Mike forwarded me a drawing of women in bikinis on a jeep from Stag magazine. I remember the drawing as I had stumbled upon it a few years ago myself. That got me thinking, so I did a quick search of bikini’s and jeeps. I was surprised to find the following image. I had made it family friendly. You can see the original along with a few others at the “relevant married guy” website in a post called ‘Jeep girls … it’s a Jeep thing?‘.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay
This looks nice.
“This is the first year for the 6 cly. and 2 wheel drive .these are geared higher than the 4 wd. You can drive this car at 55 mph. I have had it at 65 mph. before I rebuilt the motor. its all still new. I drove it about 80 miles today at 50 to 55 mph. This car has a very good body on it.When I got it I put it up on the rack and pressure washed the undercarriage and itwas in really good shape then i undercoated it. This is a list of what I have replaced on it I have a box of receipts I dont even what to add them up around 6,000.00 worth the inside upholstery is all in very good cond. The paint is old looks good but does have some scratches but not bad. rebuilt motor everything new including valves at 50.00 each didnot build dist.it looked ok rebuilt waterpump oil pump new carb. and electic fuel pump have old carb. and nos. fuel pump run them about 2 weeks and this new gas eat up the rubber parts changed it to 12 volts put a alt. and a new 12 volt 350.00 starter headlites turn signals fixed brakes new master cly ….”
This looks to be a solid jeep.
“Rumor had it this Jeep was used in a few movies back in the day (anyone say: Kelly’s Heroes). The previous owner bought it and planned to restore it, after many years he was ready to let it go. He had rebuilt the Engine and put in a new Radiator, and converted it to 12 Volt system with Alternator. We bought it in this condition, pretty much “rust-free” but with a few dents and dings (Jeep in Dark Green-white wheels). We CHOSE to leave that, so it looked more like a Combat (Field) Jeep – not a “SHOW” JEEP!”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $7000.
This doesn’t run. It has a nice vintage look to it.
“1950 Willy’s Jeepster in good condition only 2 owners. Convertable roof and side windows, New gas tank needs to be installed, new battery, rebuilt carb, Henry “J” 6cylinder Flat head engine. Not running now, but was running a few years ago. needs tires (40+ years old) but not in too bad condition has been garage kept since the 60’s. NEEDS TLC.. HAS A LOT OF ORIGINAL PARTS STILL more pictures avalible if needed”
According to the seller, “no modifications have been made on this jeep“. I count at least 21 modifications (not counting the tires). That said, the body looks pretty good.
“This jeep has been garaged except the last the few months. Had to do some remodleing in my garage. There is little surface rust in a few spots nothing major. Role bar in back, snap on soft top. Small rust hole on passager side floor board. ENGINE NOT RUNNING, This jeep is in great shape considering the year it is made. Reply to this or call 360-249-4063. Ask for Kurt
Thanks for looking. This jeep wouldn’t take much to fix up nice if you have time and money that I don’t have. This jeep is all original from 1946, no modifications have been made on this jeep. There is not speedometer in the jeep, there never has been so I have no idea how many miles are on it, it the second engine that has been put in it. Asking $2000.00 for it, title in hand.”
This still needs some work.
“200 miles on Rebuilt Engine. Recently Covered Seats. Runs Perfect. Survivor with Original Miles. Needs ignition switch and brake work.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $5995.
This looks like a good rig. The black bezels give it a slightly different look.

Steve notes that this still has the column shift mechanics, though it also has a floor shift.
“This is a 1946 Willys CJ2A that I bought from a customer of mine. Her husband bought it brand new and I have only driven it to town a few times. The gears are good and tight. It starts just fine on the 6 volt system. The Heater still works and I think they are kind of rare. When I bought the jeep She said that it had not been started for over ten years. After inspection I found thick oil in the oil pan so I removed the pan and cleaned out the old oil before trying to start the engine. At this time I took pictures of the cylinders for inspection. Two of the cylinders have marks where the rings sat over the years. The cylinders will at sometime need to be honed out to remove the small ridges which you can see in the pictures. After I had the carburator cleaned and we were able to start the engine the water pump had to be replaced with a new one and I put a new belt on at that time.
I have driven the jeep around while hunting and totally had a great time. It is like going back in time and looking at the scenery a little longer because you are traveling a little slower.”
I’ve included only part of the description. The seller’s description is extensive.
“This is a 1951 CJ3A Willys jeep that belonged to a SE Georgia Cattle farmer and hasn’t ever been in salty roads of colder areas. This vehicle was one of 3 jeeps that belonged to person and had nice weather proof shelter over head appeared not to have been abused or trashed” and limited use because of multiple “toys. This is not a patch plate or bondo special as some of these older Willys on ebay appear to be and even the under pasenger seat utility box is solid(rare). The wind shield frame is very solid as well and this is recurring problem on Willys exposed to elements as well as floor pans. The paint is recent and is enamel OD green and only pic with dog is pre new paint that jeep is currently….”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $725.
The engine turns over. The body doesn’t look too bad.

Mark published this FC ad today.
“I have a 1958 Jeep FC-150 for sale. It has the original motor, transmission, and transfer case in it. The motor is not locked up, but will not crank. Has most of the interior parts except the seats. I have two sets of doors for it. The front windshield is in good shape. That is the only glass I have for this truck. I have a Dana 30 and a Dana 44 that is currently being installed in the truck. When I purchased this truck it had a front axle from a Mail Jeep. So I was going to put it back to 4wd. There are two OEM wheels and 4 aftermarket wheels. The odometer says about 10,000 miles. There are a lot of original parts still on this truck. The lower cab corners are rusted. Some of the floor board joints and bends are rusted, but still very sturdy.
I have the title in hand. This truck comes with a lot of extra parts. Price: $2,000 or Best offer

Glenn alerted me to this. If you are a fan of M*A*S*H, then you might be interested in hiking to the mountain set of the TV Series. The are is located in Malibu Creek State Park just north of Malibu, California. There’s a few old vehicles still there, including an earlyish CJ-2A.

This looks nice.
“Here is a 1953 Willy’s Jeep witha built 327 and I mean built. This thing will probably pull the front wheels off the ground. Dual exhaust, full cage and so much more.”
UPDATE II: See the latest — The Van is headed West.
From August, 2011: Glenn recognized the Willys Van for sale. Even more impressive, he found a brochure for one! Well done! He bought the Sales Folder off eBay about a year and a half ago. Mfg. by Plaza Motors, Inc. Englewood, NJ and was Willys-Overland Factory Approved.
Based on the emails between Colin and Glenn, there were at least three groups of Willys-Overland Delivery Trucks produced:
1) One group was produced during or just prior to WWII (as seen below)
Here is a 1942 Panel Delivery Truck:
2) One group was produced during post WWII and pre 1950, which appears to include the Willys Van owned by Mike. The brochure provided by Glenn also appears to be related to this second group.
3) One group was produced between 1951 and 1953, based on these serial numbers.
The numbers below are for post 1950 FJs. This one appears to be a pre-1950 FJ. We are still awaiting a serial number.
1951 FJ 451 GC1 10001— none
1953 FJ 452 GC2 10001—10065 65 built
1954 FJ454 GC2 10001—10012 12 built
