“1948 Willys Jeep. It runs. $1,600. It runs. Email me, text me or call me to see it”
I’ll be in Hood River, Or, with Ann at the Western Antique Aeroplane and Automobile Museum (WAAAM) to sign books on Saturday, May 12th. The event is part of their “Second Saturday” program, when the museum gets the engines running. You can learn more here: http://www.waaamuseum.org/pages/whatsNew/whatsNew.html
The WAAAM folks may also ask me to give a short presentation about jeeps, but they aren’t sure just yet. If so, I’ll get Ann to video tape it and, if I’m semi-intelligible, I’ll post it.
Here’s a picture of the Bantam T-Shirt. They come in different colors, depending on the shirts I can find. I only print in quantities of 20 or so.
UPDATE: Was on eBay. **SOLD**
This looks like a very nice CJ-6.
“One of a kind Jeep CJ-6 with complete frame off restoration. The Jeep runs and drives great and has approximately 800 miles since restoration. The Jeep has never been driven on a wet road and has been garaged since resto. I have many spare parts that go with this jeep like: original generator, leaf springs, spare engine (not overhauled), spare seat frames, carb., fuel pump, 2 heaters many speacialized jeep screws and nuts. This Jeep had 24,500 miles prior to restoration and now has 800 miles on a 1964 Hurricane engine. This engine was already overhauled and cost me the same as the overhaul for my engine so I kept the original as a spare, it turns over and ran prior to removal. The jeep has been convereted from 6 volt to 12 volt with the installation of an alternator, it has no scratches dings, dents or rust anywhere it is in perfect restored condition. I also have the complete door frames with original fabric and the frame for the top (top bow), none of the canvas items have been restored. Best tops have a top that fits for approx. $750.00 This Jeep is equipped with a PTO front winch and the front windshield is the opening vented type with the curved sides which is extremely rare. Every item on this jeep was overhauled from the blinker switch to the entire brake system and drive train. Please call or email me with questions on the restoration, history of the Jeep or additional restoration photos, I have lots of pictures of everything.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3000.
It looks like this probably had a column shift. It definitely has full floating rear hubs. It also has the square washers on the windshield and the MB like brackets.
