Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This four-page July 1964 Jeep Service and Parts News highlights. Note the directions on page one for removing protective wax from new vehicles after they arrive at a dealer. On page four, the bulletin announces a new Tornado Engine break-in methodology. I wonder what was wrong with the old, original one?
This neat, very small pin, is reportedly that last of which was made during WWII and found amongst a group of these that have been sold or given away.

Glenn shared this image of a fancifully decorated Willys truck from Facebook. According to this short history, Dysarts has been a restaurant and store in Maine since the 1960s.
UPDATE: This is actually a “hostess tray”, not an ashtray. As noted in the comments, the difference between an Ashtray and a Hostess tray is the semi-circle attachment that holds cigarettes (see here: http://www.ewillys.com/wp-content/uploads2/2020/06/1960-02-willys-news2-lores.jpg).
The interior of this hostess is black. Unclear if the black is original or not, but my inclination is that it isn’t. It’s listed at $109, but the “Make Offer” option is available.

Given the windshield and the rear bumper, I have to wonder if this wasn’t originally a Fresno area designed jeep. The interior dash has some custom aspects.

“1953 Willys CJ3B 327 4 spd Muncie 4wd drive works , Long tube headers, 4 wheel disc brakes, rebuilt transfer case. Runs and drives great and fast. All gauges work new fuel tank. Has full soft top and old bikin top underneath it. Custom roll bar done in the 70s. Newer Toyo Open County’s 33×10.5r15 on old turbines rims. Super cool Willys done back in the day and just brought back to life!”
Listed as a 1950, this has some updates, but also appears to have a CJ-2A body.
