The Valley Fire Truck Company, based in Bay City, Michigan, converted basic willys truck chassis’ into Fire Trucks. Below is a rare ad from 1957 for their fire trucks.
It looks like this was taped together and then the tape was removed.
” You are bidding on an original dealer showroom window banner/poster for Willys-Overland motor vehicles. It measures 14″ x 37-3/4″ and is a used, original. It comes in 2 pieces. Item is most likely from the early 1950’s. This would be a great addition to your Willys-Overland literature collection. Frame it or post it on the wall as is. I believe the edges originally had glue on them like an envelope. One can see where these were stuck onto a window and then removed. The one on the right has a 5″ seam tear.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $5000.
Except for the front bumper, this looks like a nice stock CJ-3A. If the floor boards are solid this might be a good buy.

But need the cash, this is a ultra rare old willys, its not all original has a 289 out of a 65 mustang, auto tranny, different steering column, and gearbox. . . Overall condition is awesome 98% rust free, only rust is some flat work on floor, all other supports etc are great, I have all the smnall parts for it all seats, wood for the floor, etc, this thing turns heads everywhere I went. . . this thing is a attention getter for sure. . . jeep has always been shedded, motor is free and will start and run with a battery and a prime..

(05/21/2012) Note the golf cart story 🙂
“1946 Willys CJ-2A Jeep Very Early Civilian (VEC) Outstanding Condition! This restored gem may be the cleanest ’46 you have ever seen. No rust, no problems, everything works, it steers and stops like it did when new. Has recent new master cylinder installed. New exhaust system. Even the grase fittings have been replaced. 6 volt battery is 1 year old. Engine and transmission have been rebuilt and work great! Fires right up and goes. No smoke or missing. Vehicle has been in our local Independence Day Parade 4 years in a row and gets lots of applause. This is a real head turner. Has small dent on driver’s side top bow holder where ex-girlfriend’s disobiedient son ran into it with my golf cart. Jeep is here-they are gone! I am turning my attention to other vehicle restorations and can’t keep them all.
Engine # is CJ2A 102908. I will throw in a rough colum shift assy I got from another Jeep, although it may not be complete. I do not have the top bows or any other accessories.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $500. Duke reports this has is a column shift and the three data plates, so it is likely a VEC.
And it runs, too!
“Willys Jeep 1948, Runs, Complete Drives-No Brakes, Good Tires, Rusty and no title.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1500.
(03/26/2011) There’s some value, but hard to tell just how much.
“1952 Willys has a 4.3 EFI and adaptor plate to a 4 speed transmission but no axles. The 1962 Willys has a rolling chassis, engine, tub, windshield frame, roll bar. Take 2 Jeeps and make one or just use the parts. ”
I thought these were a neat photos of the Jeepster assembly line with a CJ-2A in the background.
Here’s a nice photo of two women sitting on a military jeep. I wonder what it says on the hood.
I’ve never seen this ad before now.” This is the actual ad and not a copy of one. It was published in 1947.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
Glenn forwarded this. I think a piece of the glass is good .. lol.
“Absolute sale NO RESERVE! No extra fees. I have most of a 1963 Jeep FJ-3 Fleetvan. Although missing the back it is a rare vehicle perfect for a parts vehicle. It is a parts vehicle. There is no title or registration to this. The vin plate is still attached to the Van with a dry cheap white paint coating it. I used my finger nail to expose the numbers. The steering, suspension and brakes for the front appear to be all there. The motor and transmission are there but I am not sure of their condition. The back of this Fleetvan is missing. The Postal Code is P.O.D-6-2-8208 and the manufacture Vin Code is 14955. The Jeep FJ-3 Fleetvan was a compact delivery van manufactured by Willys Motors and Kaiser-Jeep from 1961 to 1965. This FJ-3 is equipped with the F-134 Hurricane engine that is a 4 cylinder F-Head. Borg-Warner Automatic it looks like. The FJ-3 is only 135 inches long and is rated for 1000 pound payload. If you know of somebody that has one of these, PLEASE let them know so they can have a chance to get a parts Van. I’m sure they will appreciate that. Sold As is with no waranty or returns of course. I have jacks and stands to help load this up.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was Make Offer
“Amazing condition:
1954 Jeep M38A, manufactured by Willys Overland. Body perfect. Needs very little to get running: fuel sending unit, fuel pump and tank.
1946 Jeep Willys CJ 2A. Body in excellent shape. Minor engine work to get this running. (First year that Jeeps were offered to civilians!)
Both of these Jeeps were up and running, but, my father passed away a few years back, and he had these at a shop in Iowa where they were doing some work on them. I have spent the last few years trying to get them back from the shop’s owner, so, nothing has been done with them since 2009.
Looking for trades on one or both. These are in amazingly good shape, and will take very little to get back to running. Interested in: jet skies/4×4 truck/Jeep Wrangler/trailer or camper/lot on lake/or open to other reasonable offers! Let me know if you have something that you think might spark my interest…but, be realistic! I will not ship, however, I know these are classic Jeeps, and someone from another part of country may be very interested…if legit, I will work with you if you hire delivery service to pick up.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was No Price
The more rusted one looks like it has a VEC body.
“Two 1948 Willy’s Jeep’s

Sheyenne wanted to let readers know she has this for sale over at willysforsale.com

Buz discovered this website in Argentina. There are a variety of different jeeps for sale, some familiar and some less so. Visit the website and check it out. Here is a Willys MB for $15,000: http://www.arcar.org/willys-mb-14-ton-46729
You can learn more about these IKA (Industrias Kaiser Argentina) built jeeps at the CJ-3B Page.
Here are some other vehicles I spotted in just a minute of searching:
This appears to be a MB/GPW of some vintage –
This is a CJ-2A with an unusual top –
Here are a couple of 2WD IKA Jeeps modeled on the CJ-5, but with a longer wheelbase
James spotted this article. According to it, a British company has built a special operations jeep they call Pegasus, using a Wrangler as the foundation. The company built the frame to fit inside a CH-47 Chinook. It is 201 inches long, 79 inches wide, 72 inches tall with an 11 inch ground clearance. It has a curb weight of 6,610 pounds and a potential payload of 3,310 pounds
According the the article, “It is named after the Pegasus Bridge crossing the Caen Canal the British 6th Airborne Division wrenched from the Germans in the invasion of Normandy in World War II …. ”
I thought this was an interesting ad. The two ‘selling’ points in this 1948 ad for the Willys Trucks are that they save on gas and oil & that they have a tight turning radius.
UPDATE: Status Unknown. Was priced at $4000.
This is worth a look.
“1952 Willys M38A1 Military Jeep. All original Except color, bikini top and front bumper. 24 volt generator has been replaced with 24 volt alternator. Blackouts have been removed and replaced with turn signals. Runs good. Engine and powertrain are in good working condition including 4wd and have never been rebuilt. Could be a great restoration vehicle for military or jeep enthusiast. $4000 or could consider reasonable offer. I have the original military service manual and some extra parts. contact through craigslist for any questions.”
I’m not sure if the seller is selling the jeep only or bundling this with the truck and scout.
“1953 Willys is just the chasis, motor and seat frames. This one ran to where I parked it and then I had my body guy take the body off to put a tub on it. Its time to get rid of some of my projects!!! Call Michelle 231 206 7332”
This has had work done on the side. This has the wrong tailgate, too.

(11/01/2010) This appears in great condition. I’m wondering if this is actually a CJ-3A.
“Jeep CJ2, Calif Yellow & Black Plates, Clear Title. Has original “Go Devil” Flathead 4 motor. A very clean Jeep with no dents or rust. Good Glass, Seat and Tires. Runs smoothly. I have only used this for parades and car shows (show & tell) It has not been beaten up off roading. ”
