“runs good, needs master brake cylinder”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $1500
(11/02/2009) This has been for sale for several years. It’s missing steps and original seats, but otherwise looks like a good price. It runs and drives.
“For sale is our Willys CJ2A nicknamed Limey for obvious reasons. While we have owned Limey we have replaced the clutch, water pump, head gasket, head studs/nuts and have inspected the brakes. The L head 4 cylinder runs good. The T90 3 speed transmission is strong and does not pop out of second gear. 4WD works great. Limey has also been converted to 12 volts. Overall the body condition is fair to good, it would need work to be perfect but it is usable as is now. The exhaust system also needs some work but we are including a piece of piping that should fix the problem. We also have a roll-bar that we can throw in if interested. Limey’s S/N is 153,891 and the frame tag, body tag and S/N tag all match. In addition the toeboard gusset and tailgate numbers match, their number is 143,524. While this S/N would make Limey a 1948, we have clear Minnesota title as a 1947. We are asking $2,200 OBO for Limey. Please e-mail with questions or to get contact information.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1200.
This might be a M-38 on a MB Chassis. It runs, too.
“1945 MB 38 military Jeep. Runs and drives (just barely!) needs total restoration. 4 cyl 134 CI motor, T-90 trans. Military tires. Some extra parts. No top, great project. Will consider trade for 30 hp to 40 hp good outboard motor. Will try to post pictures when I figure out how to do it $1,200 or BO ”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $17,000
The title lists this as a Ford, but the wheel well lids don’t look GPWish.
“I am listing this military jeep for a friend. Asking price is $17,000 obo. Runs great, has been used the past few years in 4th of July parades in Baraga, Houghton, and Marquette (among other locations). Please respond if you are interested or have any questions.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $5000.
Dan notes that Paul Berry checked this out personally and feels it is a special order of a regular wagon with barn doors
(03/21/2012) It appear solid.
“I originally bought this Jeep because it is the style I always wanted, 4WD with windows and delivery doors. I wanted something cool and fun to drive around. This Willys starts, runs and drives really well, everything works. It is 50 years old and has some rust under the doors. The paint job is fair, glass is all good. It could be a good driver or solid restoration. I have an overdrive kit for it and replaced the rear main and front axle seals in 2011.”
UPDATE: **SLD** Was $2800.
There appears to be some rust along the sides.
“1960 willys jeep 4 cylinder flathead engine runs great doesnt smoke 4×4 works lifted up 4 to 6 inchs sale or trade cal”

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1500.
(03/15/2012) Hard to say just how much value is here.
“I DO have a Kansas title to it!!
The running gear and engine seem to be in working order, the engine does turn over freely, and was last running about 10 years ago.
There is a “rebuild tag on the engine dated 12/12/44. The engine and transmission (T84) are both Ford and have the “F” on the bolts. The oil filter is also marked for ARMY use.
It has the two front seats, glove box on the passenger side( one information plate is missing), the fire extinguisher bracket is still intact, and the original foot pedals are there. ALSO, throwing in a ton of extra parts!!
The tub is rough (mainly floor pan rust), but easy to restore, the frame has previous damage the the front horns,
and has been sitting for 45 years. The fenders are in good condition, but them and the hood are homemade (good looking work though).
Things that are missing is the back seat, windshield frame, and rear drive shaft, and some gauges.
If you have more questions feel free to ask”
UPDATE: Was $2500. **SOLD**
(08/07/2012) Dan spotted this parkway conversion.

“Willis Jeep, 1956 cj3, Runs and Drives good, 4 wheel drive works, original body and drive train, Good jeep to restore.”
UPDATE: Still Available
(02/10/2012) The fenders appear to have an unusual mod in the front. The body looks more like a replacement fiberglass body than a ’48 body. The rear axle looks CJ-2Aish. Overall it looks like a solid build.
“1948 WILLYS JEEP ON 1942 GPW FRAME. RUNS AND DRIVES WELL. VERY GOOD OVERALL CONDITION. WINCH AND SOFT TOP (NOT PICTURED) INCLUDED $4995 208-FIVE 7 THREE-SIX TWO 5 FIVE”
Here’s a photograph from a December 1941 issue of Mechanix Magazine that shows a Ford GP participating in war games at the dawn of the US’s official entry into WWII.
Steve forwarded this video of Tim’s jeep Priority running the Hill Climb at the Adventure Park in Monroe, Washington. I don’t know anything about the Park, but here’s a link to the website. Here’s an article about the “Prison Break” event. Here’s the Facebook page.
Priority is powered by an aluminum V-8 followed by a Ford Top-loader four speed that used to be in my father’s jeep. It’s got a Parkette fiberglass body with a Bobcat hood. He runs an independent suspension that has been updated since I last saw the jeep, so I’m looking forward to my next climb underneath it.
This looks very nice, but isn’t entirely original.

“1953 CJ-3A Farm Jeep, This jeep runs and drives. New carb, brake pads, wheel cylinders and clutch in 2007. Rear PTO works. Engine burns oil. Current 6 volt electrical system is not charging. The tub has been patched and is rusty. Seats are not correct. Taillights are not correct. I have used this jeep on our farm since 2006. I just have to many jeeps and this one needs to find a new home. The jeep will be sold with BILL OF SALE ONLY.”

This is an unusual CJ-6.
“standard transmission, 4 wheel drive. oil changed in transmission and motor, also has new spark plugs, inside is rhino lined. is classified as a cj6 has clean title and has been licensed before”
This looks solid.
“Street Smart Auto Brokers is very pleased to bring you a very rare and popular 1946 Willy’s Jeep that has been completely restored.
We sent this to our Jeep mechanics to do the full inspection and they said this Willy’s rides and looks like its been done right. The steering is tight and it just drives solid.
Some of the outstanding features of this rig are…
12 Volt conversion
Alternator & dual batteries
Reflex shocks
Warn HS 9500i Winch
Superwinch Hubs
Great tires
Sun Pro gauges – all functioning
Excellent seats
We don’t have any restoration history on it and that is why we asked our mechanics to go through it with a fine tooth comb.
The Willy’s is not on our lot, so please call Frank, Josh, Rory or Loren at 719-434-8443 to set up an appointment to see the Jeep.”
Buz spotted this one.

This looks like a great price with most of the value in the trailer. The grille looks like it is stainless, too.
“’47 CJ2A project. 225 Buick V-6, twin stick transfer case, warn hubs, stainless front fenders, chrome grill, early mustang taillights. Needs a coil, tires and wheels, fuel tank installed, and brakes fixed. I don’t know anything about the condition of the motor ( I got the jeep as is in a trade ). Trailer is a flatbed tandem axle with a 21′ by 6′ deck. will fit 2 jeeps nose to nose. Trailer will need a new 2 5/16″ coupler (it does function as is) and work on the left side taillights. I have titles for the trailer and notorized affidavit in lieu of title for the willys. $1800 for both or sell seperate if the jeep goes first. text or call (253) 534-six0six8”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay
“Here is a classic piece of military history. This 62 Willy’s M38A1 will really turn heads.
Drive Train Works Good
Newer Military Tires
Overall Condition 8 out of 10
I bought it at an auction and drove it back to my shop. I have very little history with it
The only thing I can see that it needs is a headlight dimmer switch”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
This has no title and needs work.
“elling this vehicle as parts. There is no title with this vehicle, I chose “salvage” because it was a required field. THE JEEP HAS NO TITLE. It was used for years off road as a plow and not registered or titled . Serial # 360409, 8/10/44. The engine is newer and from a civilian Jeep, the transmission and transfer case are original MB. The engine smokes and will need to be rebuilt if used. The engine ran long enough to determine that it will shift through the gears and not overheat. Steering is OK and the brakes are poor at best. Now for the good part: The body is almost rot free, floors, and tool box bottoms are solid. The body does have bondo and extra holes but overall an excellent candidate for restoration. The front frame horns have had a plow frame welded to them but are in amazing shape and can be brought back with carefull metal removal. 3 combat rims are included. Milage is listed as 99,999 but I have no idea of actual milage. Buyer is responsible for transportation, but we will assist with loading if needed.”
