UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2500.
It needs some work.
“Up for sale or trade is a 1946 CJ-2A Willys Jeep. It needs a new fuel pump and some other work,(seats, tires, windshield, few dents, couple of minor rust spots) but it is in surprisingly good shape for its age. It’s definitely not ready to drive home though-will need a trailer or tow. Everything has been kept original(engine, tranny, etc) The engine runs great, but since the fuel pump is out, I have to hand spray gas into the carb to show. Fully restored this Jeep is worth a LOT of money. I’m moving and can no longer keep it in a garage.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2000
No title. Unclear if it runs. The hood is beat up.

As promised, I’ve scanned and posted a 1943. I have updated the earlier post with the scans.
I received the June 19, 1943, issue of Liberty Magazine today. The magazine was published in Toronto, Canada from 1924 – 1950. My issue includes an article written by Willys Overland’s President at the time Joseph W. Frazer and titled “The Amazing Blitz Buggy”.
Having read the article, I’m still surprised he claimed the official name of the vehicle was “General Purpose Car”. You can see that claim in the highlighted portion of the article. That explain why the term “General Purpose” has been used in numerous historical descriptions about the jeep.

This has already hit $316.99! I think building a look-alike real-scale of this would be a neat project.

(10/18/2012) This might make an interesting read.
“Original part color catalog , 8.5 x 11 , 20 pages , shows Jeep CJ5 on cover and on first page . Also shows Jeep Pickup with Backhoe , Jeep Ambulance , Jeep Fire Engine , Willys Bermuda , and Jeep Experimental Mechanical Mule . There are no Kaiser vehicles shown in this report . It also includes financial information for the year ending in December 1954 for Kaiser and Willys Motors , etc .”
UPDATE: **SOLD** This doesn’t run, but looks solid.
“The “Forgotten Jeep.” The FJ-3 was a compact delivery van manufactured by Willys Motors and Kaiser-Jeep from 1961 to 1965. This has the Borg-Warner 3 speed automatic transmission, which probably needs work, but can be used again. The motor is bad. This does not run at this time. My husband has been storing it for several years since purchasing it in California. He hasn’t had time to work on this, so it is looking for a new home. We have most of the parts that came with it, except for maybe a light lens. We also have the front bumper and wipers, but they are not shown in the photos. This will need to be hauled on a trailer. This could be a great restoration project.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2500 last august.
(08/21/2012) How about that front bumper!
“This auction is for a 1943 Ford GPW, NOT a Willys MB. This vehicle has been CHANGED to appear as a UTV. Not much is stock on this little jeep. It has a custom rack on the back, extra fuel tank in the back, new seats, Ford Falcon dash(?), and a V6. The engine runs very strong. See this video for footage of it running. The jeep is really quite cool. The only real work it needs is a broken left shock bracket. That’s it.
If you want to see the jeep in action go to youtube and type in “Bad ford GPW”. It should pull up a video titled “bad ford gpw in price, utah”. Watch it.
CHECK THIS VIDEO:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0CYQcaOCGLo”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay

“I have a 1945 CJ-2A for sale with a clear Ohio title# The vehicle is located in NE Ohio 44691# It has been redone# This vehicle is #373 of 1824 made in the closing days of WW2 for civilian use# It shares many parts/traits with the military jeeps of the era# It is a very rare vehicle# All numbers match on the frame horn, dash plate and under hood# I believe the tailgate ACM is #376# The date stamps on the axles, etc#indicate the jeep was probably made on or just prior to the day we dropped the bomb on Hiroshima# The L134 engine has been rebuilt #red# and is not original to the vehicle# It carries at least 40 lbs# of oil pressure at idle and 60 lbs# when driving# There are no issues with the engine# I recently replaced the fuel pump#The jeep tracks straight down the road with no wobble# It is a 3 speed on the column as it should be# It will sometimes jump out of second gear only on deceleration# I have not found it a problem to warrant a rebuild# Low/high 4wd work as they should# It is a 6 volt system# All wiring has been replaced, all gauges, etc# work with the exception of the horn #the relay works so it is in the horn proper## There is a rear seat which has been redone as have the others# There is no rust and it leaks very little oil# The gas tank, fuel lines are new as is the radiator and hoses# There are many new parts and a receipt book comes with the vehicle# All window glass has been replaced as have the seals# The brakes are exceptional# There are no tool indents, that panel was replaced as were several other body panels when it was redone however the floor, tailgate, windshield, fenders, hood, grille and dash are origional# Standard rear hitch seems quite heavy duty#”
