I like the motion in this illustration.
“Original illustration (painting) on board (not paper). See blue ruler and oatmeal container to estimate size. It’s LARGE, and in nice shape! Probably done for a 1960s or 1970s men’s magazine.”

“This is a last edition 1953 CJ3A Jeep. A good driver condition, not show quality, a twenty footer. Body has been off frame, repaired by welding in non original panels, and painted low quality. All stock drive train, still 6 volt, runs well, goes well. Its been inside storage about 4 years so probably needs some attention from sitting. A real fun Jeep for small price.”
Here a solid looking Lefty.

UPDATE: Still Available
(11/24/2012) Glenn has his Lefty CJ-2A for sale.
“This is Willys CJ2A S/N 185318, a documented Lefty, as discussed in “Calling All Leftys” on The CJ2A Forum. This is a PROJECT!! It needs EVERYTHING restored. Mostly complete vehicle, rusty body and frame. Frame has been repaired, repaired again, needs more repair now. Body has been off frame, repaired, welded in floors, panels and needs more repair now. Engine, drive train are stock, non running, looks complete, I haven’t tried. Has a rear PTO unit, but needs repair also. As per PO, this Jeep was running when put into storage about 5 years ago. I added stock KH 16″ rims with oversized 7;50X16 tires, took out bucket seats, added stock left seat frame. RH seat is not stock, maybe Crosley. The dash tag is very readable with CJ2A-185318. The frame tag is missing. The ACM Number looks like 17?579 and others in that neighborhood show the third digit might be a 5 or 6. Buyer will research further. This is very near the end of Lefty production as per Willys Service Bulletin 48-27 and less than 20 have been accounted for making this a very worthwhile project. Sold with a Bill of Sale only as Maine is a non title state. I can license and insure legally in Maine as it is. What you need in your state is up to your DMV at your expense. Email me at glenns@tdstelme.net and I’ll send pix and complete details. Don’t bother me with silly questions like, “How are the hat channels?”. Like I said, EVERYTHING needs repair. Understand this, EVERY bolt will be turned. What level you take this restoration to is up to you. If a real Lefty in your garage is on your bucket list, here it is for $2000. Might partial Willys trade. Call 207-491-one,two,three,Four. Glenn”

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
Here’s a cool mug.
“What a very cool piece of Jeep history. This mug is made by Buntingware. Super Jeep. Toughest 4-letter word on wheels. Mug is in nice condition. Looks new and unused”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
The starting bid is only $3500. This appears in good shape to me (but I know little about these).
“These Include: I added Round Metal Mirrors, Relocated tail light and license plate mount, Made Backing plate for Rear trunk lid, Fashioned / Made the wooden floor boards “Duck Boards”, Fashioned Screw Type windshield fold-down pin handles, Added Door seals and Windshield to Dash seal, Painted the steering wheel and All Shiny bolts that were showing, Installed new NAPA ignition switch, Installed new NAPA Horn button, Installed a new Coil, Changed the distributor (old one was electronic and troublesome) Fuel Filter, Air Filter, Oil and Filter, Changed gear oil, Added the front tow rope, Added Shovel, Made Headlight Covers, Added the graphics and Markings of Rommel’s 21’st PANZER DIVISION / DAK or Deutsch Afrika Korps WWII with Palm Tree but Deleted the Swastika for obvious reasons.
* Graphics / Markings are either vinyl self stick OR Spray painted stencils. Either way, Graphics are easily removable with Acetone if desired *
I had the Engine removed and Transmission / Engine seals replaced by a professional Antique VW repair facility because I saw gear oil on the floor of the barn. Some say old VW’s mark their territory by leaking oil but this one does not.
KUBELWAGEN has a 1974 – 1600CC / 58HP Engine < #AE 946851 > that purrrrrs and a 1965 Beetle Chassis < Vin#145304936 >
It is Titled in NJ as a 1965 VW KUB CON (meaning Kubelwagen Convertible). It was titled by me on June 7th this year. I have driven it about 300 Miles to shows and around town. It WILL go 70 MPH but I drive it at 45-50 MAX and laugh as people drive around me.
The Mileage shown on the Working ODOMETER is from a Donor Car and is 52,748 – This is NOT actual but is the number used for title purposes. The Actual mileage this car has traveled in it’s current configuration since being built is estimated at 400. That would be prior owner who completed car 100 Miles ESTIMATED and MY personal ESTIMATE of 300 for a total of 400 ESTIMATED miles.
The car is a 2 DOOR in Suicide configuration to open backwards.
It has single element Headlights meaning NO HIGH BEAMS.
It has a Working GAS gauge, Speedometer, Odometer and Oil pressure gauges that DO NOT Light Up. I believe they have bulbs and can light up but do not at this time. I don’t think they are wired to light up.
It has a Push Button on the dashboard that energizes the Alternator to charge the battery.”
UPDATE: *SOLD** Was on eBay
The parts are in good shape. I wonder if the tub is new.
“1944-45 Military Jeep Willys MB. Tub and frame with some trim parts as seen in photos also a M-48 dash mount and 3 combat rims and 1 M-38 type rim. No paper work so sold as parts. What you see in photos is what you are bidding on. Must be picked up”
This is an early one. It may be a good restoration candidate.
“1945 Willys CJ2A #10277 Column Shift, tool dents a rare find. Needs restoration. ran when it was stored last year.”

UPDATE: **SOLD** $3500.
This looks like a good price.
“1959 willys cj3b jeep bikini top and full soft top/ runs great/ it has lock outs aluminum wheels available to fit this jeep contac”
A woman named Deedee contacted me on Facebook saying she was interested in helping sell this MB. It is her boyfriend’s jeep. He inherited it from his grandfather, but it has sat for years. It’s located in Northern, California (close to Hopland I think). The serial number is #MB212201. I have asked for more information (does it run, how is the body) and pics. If you’d like to contact her directly, you can reach Deedee at ddwiley73 @ gmail.com.
A divorce forces this sale, but the seller takes the time to note that there is a high mileage wife on the market now.
“1945 Willys MB. This is pretty much a new build on a 1945 frame and wheels. I bought it as a beautiful looking civilian rebuild (see the picture in glossy red). The prior owner did most of the mechanical rebuild. I “remilitarized” it and replaced several mechanical components he didn’t. The engine is a rebuilt unit (I think it’s a 2A, it has ribs on the head). The T84 transmission and transfer case are rebuilt (with no leakage). It has an overdrive. I don’t know if the overdrive is a rebuilt unit or new (it looks new, does Warn still make them?). Clutch components are all new. The brake system is new from backing plates to master cylinder. Has locking front hubs. The steel is new from bumper to bumperetts: Body, bumper, gussets, windshield frame, seat frames, fuel tank and bumperetts, new springs and shackles. The underside, floor and rear bed have a rhino coat type finish (I don’t know the brand) it will never rust. The wiring harness is almost all correct cloth covered wires, the lights all work, the tail lights are both the type with a brake light for safety. I replaced the water pump and starter last week, battery, fuel pump and a professionally rebuilt carburetor before that (the choke, hand throttle and idle speed combination are a bit touchy while warming up). All 5 tires have minimal wear and look brand new. I replaced the steering components from box (professionally rebuilt) to button. I replaced all the military parts; paint (there is an epoxy coat under it applied by the prior owner, again it will never rust), windshield wipers, pioneer tools & straps, safety straps, seat cushions, crash pads, top, top bows and hardware, safety chains (a detail almost always missing on a rebuild), exhaust system, shocks, spare tire foot and fire extinguisher bracket. The fire extinguisher and tire pump are originals. The M48 dash machine gun mount and pintle are new units, I made the cradle. The Browning model 1919 30 cal. machine gun and carbine are resin copies (Ebay censers, they never did and never can be made to fire!!!!!!!). You can not fit an M1 rifle with an M48 mount, the right side windshield clamp doesn’t fit very well. My MA tile says 65,540 miles when purchased (I presume that was the actual milage before the speedo was replaced by prior owner). My divorce expenses force me to sell the Willys (anyone want a cute, short, very aggressive, high mileage wife ?). I can not provide a warrantee (Jeep or wife). $500 deposit via paypal within 24 hours of winning bid. Final payment by bank check (cleared) prior to going on trailer, or cash at pick up. I can help arrange shipping. The Jeep can be seen any time in Lexington MA.”
Here’s a nice looking wagon.
“51 Willys Wagon- 100% original wagon with ~32,000 original miles. Runs excellent, everything works perfectly. Paint is original- excellent for its age, even shines!
1 minor ding on rear quarter panel. NO RUST.
Completely solid vehicle.”
UPDATE: Status Unknown. Was priced at $1500.
This looks great for the price. The is supposed to run.
“Neat looking Willy, 1956 pick-up. It was running and driven home from purchase. We have keys and title. It is in good shape, especially for its age. Serious inquiries only ”
