Come and drive it and you’ll be hooked. For a nearly 60 year old vehicle, it is amazing. I am asking $7500.00 or interesting trade”

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was eBay
This sports custom Yale Fire Department seats. It’s just a nice little extra on a M-715 Fire truck that needs restoration.
“1 & 1/4 ton Jeep Kaiser with a Mercury 350 engine (yes it is a converted boat motor with headers). It was in running condition when parked two years ago. 1968 model. Originally purchased new by an Oklahoma Fire department and has been in their possession ever since then. Was still used periodically until two years ago when parked (indoors). Will likely need a battery, new fuel, some brake work…..not really sure what else. Tires have a lot of tread and are holding air just fine. I heard the engine turn over with a jump just the other day but it wouldn’t stay running. Needs maintenance before running well on it’s own again. It was said that this could compete with the best rock crawlers around. I haven’t personally seen it in action or driven it myself, just re-selling it to pay some bills. I’m sorry in advance, I don’t have any historical mechanical maintenance information for it and won’t be able to answer any technical questions. You’re basically buying what you see in the photos. You likely know more about these than I do….”
Neither of these run.
“These jeeps are in good condition.2 could easily be made into 1 or both could actually be restored. Do not currently run.”

I bought this wooden puzzle jeep the other day. It came assembled, so of course, I took it apart. It turns out that putting it together wasn’t as easy as I thought, but I did get it together. You can see me celebrating my ‘victory’ (well, that’s the fuzzy version of me — I am celebrating no-shave November)
I ran across a Salt Lake Tribune article that includes this militarized CJ-2A decoration. The article shares a little bit about Salt Lake Valley’s Grogan’s War Surplus Store. If you are in Salt Lake and have some time to kill, drop by and get your picture taken with the jeep and send it in to me! I’m sure I’ll get down there at some point and do that too :-). The store is located at 5000 S. Redwood Road and marked with a Sergeant Missile at one corner.

UPDATE: As of 2022, the building appears to still be there, but it is closed.
Jim wrote to tell me a little about Bruce Wadlin and his Florida 4 Wheel Drive & Truck shop. The sixty-nine year old Bruce runs the shop himself, selling “OBSOLETE JEEP & Willys Parts”. Jim grew up with him and said that Bruce has been buying and selling new (old) parts since the 1970s. Bruce is pretty old school, still using only a phone or fax machine. He doesn’t even advertise. So, Jim thought he would place ads on Craigslist and contact eWillys.
The shop is located at 6110 17th Street E, Bradenton, FL. The phone number is (941) 756-7844. Bruce generally keeps hours from keeping hours from 11am until 5PM daily (though the ad says noon to 6pm).
How about that great first picture? Love it!

FEATURES: New tires; new receiver; recently painted and stored indoors; real axle; leaf spring suspension; newer tail lights and wiring; locking vertical access doors;
Roughly 8 x 5
Clean Texas registration”
UPDATE: Status Unknown. Was on eBay.
“This car is quite complete, including one of the Swedish bikes (hand operated front drum and Bendix type rear brakes with leather hand grips and leather seat) that the Swedish Army used on them.
It even has the original oil can mounted on the fire wall under the hood and the original bike tool kit contents (adjustable wrench with tire changing tool handle, skeleton handled screw driver, little pry bar wrench and what seems to be a spoke wrench along with a tire pump stamped with the three crown insignia of Sweden) in the little tool box on the back of the bike.
The bike generator and headlamp are still in working order although the tail lamp appears to need a bulb. The car also has the original, operating Swedish Army radios on the counter top table in the back seat area.
The drive train is original and quite complete, all working well. The transmission is a un-synchronized four speed. The reverse lock out lever on the shifter and both independent dash controlled differential locks all work.
The engine always starts with no trouble no matter how cold or how long it sets unused. There is a cold weather hot water starting system dependent on another similar vehicle with the same system. The engine is a Volvo flat head six-cylinder gas engine. The engine and drive train are original.
It shows 84,400 plus kilometers on the speedometer which too is in working order. Four of the five tires are nearly new with probably less than 500 miles on them.”
Fred spotted this nice looking truck. This listing includes ALOT of good quality pics.
“This is a true TIME CAPSULE! Sold with the original title and registration from Oregon do not miss your chance to own a piece of history. This truck comes from the original family that owned it when purchase in 1955 in Oregon. Used originally as a forest service truck to pull out redwoods this machine is a torque monster. Having personally driven this truck I can say it is without a doubt one of the best running WIllys out there. Do not mess around with custom 350 conversions this original straight 6 Super Hurricane engine is up for anything.
Only carrying 90,000 miles the engine runs like new and without ANY hesitation. Fires right up everytime and will take you down the road with its 3 speed manual transmission at 55 all day long. The truck could literally be used as a museum piece, car show winner, or a daily driver. Use it to promote your business or store it in your Willys collection, this truck is AMAZING!
-Original 90,000 Mile SUPER HURRICANE Engine
-Fully functional 3 speed manual trans and 4 wheel lock out hubs
-100% Functional Gauge cluster and speedo (look almost new)
-Fully functional heater and thermostat
-New All terrain Tires
-Original Spare
-Tape player installed in glove box (not a cut up dash unit!)
-Original special order Kleenex Box form Willys still full with the ORIGINAL kleenex!!
This truck really is an amazing piece of history. Only thing on the truck that is NOT original is the interior which was updated in the 80’s as well as the tape player in dash. The truck is 100% rust free and has only sat in a climate controlled garage for the last 20 years keeping it in like new condition. Used 3 times a year to pull floats in parades the truck has been ran and kept in excellent condition making it one the cleanest and best running ORIGINAL Willys in existence.
Will be sold with original:
-Oregon Title
-Registration
-1955 Oregon Plate
-Full write up in Collector Truck Magazine”

UPDATE: This is back on eBay
(11/17/2012) This appeared during one of my searches. Looks fun so I thought I’d post it, but I couldn’t say whether it’s an accurate restoration.
“This fully restored T-15 serial number 184 has an excellent running engine and drives very nice. It runs and handles very well.
More photos and video of it in operation at: Military Vehicle Web
Military Vehicle Web will be listing on E-bay a very nice T-24 Weasel next week.
I collect WWII vehicles and equipment and open to offers.
It comes with WWII radio, headset, tools, skies/poles, sleeping bag, back pack, WWII white out military clothing, WWII boots with ice spikes, snow pack, tools and more. This is a very nice T-15 and the extra gear makes an excellent display. The engine compartment is fully detailed and extremely clean.
In 1941, the U.S. Military contracted with Studebaker Corporation of South bend Indiana to design, test and build a “top-secret” snow vehicle for commando use in Norway. As a result of this effort, the “Weasel Light Cargo Carrier” designated “T-15″ was the earliest production version. It had the engine in rear and driver in the front-center position. Approximately 750 were manufactured for the war effort.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was No Price.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $9600.
“You are looking at a one of a kind custom Rat Rod build with all new parts and done right. The truck has been in my family for years as a stock truck. After sitting in a shed covered for years it was time to pull it out and do something cool and different. The entire truck was stripped and all new parts were ordered. The cab roof was chopped 7″ and the main body was sectioned 4″ to give it a real low mean look. The top roof was removed and replaced with a flat hinged roor that can be opened up to 5” in the rear for air movement and looks. The bed was shortened 1.5′. The frame was built on a jig out of 3/16 2×4 tube “z’ed” front and rear to give the truck a bit over 8″ gound clearance. Listed below are the specs on the truck and I have pictures from the day the build began to the very end if you are interested. This truck was built as a rat rod with all new parts and it was built right. Please ask any questions you may have this thing is a head turner people stop me everytime I drive it! Thanks!

“Up for auction is a full custom Jeep dragster. I received this dragster in a trade for another race car I sold. I am not a drag racer and am into circle track racing so it must go! I did not build this dragster so I don’t know a ton of details about it other than what the previous owner told me and what I can see and hear by running it and driving it. This dragster is approximately six years old according to the previous owner. It was built by a professional chassis shop in California in 2006. Looking at the welds and looking over the chassis it looks very good. It has a full chrome moly funny car style cage. The rear end is a narrowed 9 inch ford. It has a 4:11 posi gear. Big bearings and 31 spline axles. Wilwood disc brakes. Wilwood Dynalite calipers. 14.5” wide Hoosier slicks with very few passes on them by the looks of the wear indicators. Centerline convo pro wheels. There will also be a set of mud/sand paddles included with the dragster in case the new owner wants to run it on something other than pavement. Front has a solid axle with solid centerline wheels. Front tires are pizza cutters and also in very good condition. Steering is manual with a gm style steering box. Engine is a built 350 Chevy with about 12 passes on it. Transmission is a built th350. As I listed above I did not build the engine or transmission so I cannot tell you what all went into the internals. I do know that it sounds very mean and it is very very fast what little I have driven it. It will pull the front tires off the ground when it is launched! The seat is a standard drag race seat with a cam lock style Simpson 5 point harness. The body is all sheet metal except the one piece fiberglass front end. There is no rust anywhere on the body or the chassis.”
No pics provided.
“Very restorable, only 50,000 original miles. Sound body. Warn lock-o-matic hubs. Will deliver.”
