I was surprised to see this ad published as late at September 3, 1954, because it highlights the CJ-3A-based “Farm Jeep” (see halfway down in the ad). It was printed in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
NOT A 1942 MB Stoney Creek, Ontario, Canada BaT
UPDATE: This was (mistakenly or fraudulently) billed as a 1942 MB.
Bill shared this Briing-A-Trailer auction of a 1942 MB with some unusual mods, including the installation of a Toyota 3C turbodiesel.
https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1942-jeep-mb-4/
“This 1942 Willys MB was acquired by the seller in 2021 and subsequently refurbished and repowered with a 2.4-liter Toyota 3C turbodiesel inline-four mated to a five-speed manual transmission and a two-speed transfer case. Finished in matte green over green cloth, the Jeep is equipped with auxiliary lights, a fold-down windshield, side-mounted digging tools, 16″ wheels, a rear-mounted Jerry can and spare wheel and tire, and a trailer hitch. This Jeep is now offered in Canada with Ontario registration in the seller’s name.”

1948 CJ-2A Jacksonville, NC $2500
Taar’s selling her father’s CJ-2A. It’s seen some repairs and doesn’t run at the moment. Unclear if the engine spins or not. You can email her at tara.dicken21 @ gmail.com (remove spaces around the @).
“My father recently passed away and left me with several vehicles I am now trying to find homes for. One if these is a 1946 jeep cj3a with a title. It’s not in good shape at all as it has been outside in a barn. Would love for it to go to a good home.”
1953 M-38A1 Rexburg, ID $6500
UPDATE: **SOLD**Was $6500.
“We’ve owned this Jeep for over 12 years. It’s been our primary trail Jeep. We’ve driven it all over the Targhee N.F. and when we lived in Boise it took us through the Boise Mountains and across the Owyhee Desert. No rock crawling or hard abuse, just easy cruising on gravel roads.
It starts, stops, runs, shifts and steers as it should. It’s mostly stock. We converted it from the 24 volt military system to 12 volts and added some BDS 2 1/2” lift springs and shocks.
F134 4 cylinder engine is strong, compression and oil pressure are good. Transmission and transfer case shift fine. I’ve had the original military carburetor and fuel pump professionally rebuilt. Tires are in great shape.
It’s been a great Jeep for us. But we’ve got a couple other projects going and it’s time for the next owner to enjoy it. Clear Idaho title in my name. $6500. Cash only. No trades. Located in Rexburg, Idaho.”
Year? DJ-3A? Twinsburg, OH $2850
Tom spotted this amalgamation of parts. Listed as a 1951 CJ-3A, this jeep has a DJ-3A front end, but the front crossmember suggests the frame is not from a DJ. The body could be DJ-3A. The engine isn’t, but it is stuck anyway.

Flat Fender Jeep project. Titled as a 1951 CJ3A is 2WD. I believe it has a 283 Chevy engine in it but engine is stuck and I do not have time to mess with it. Has some rust, but good project. If listing is up it’s available and will not respond to that question.”

“Here we have for sale an Original 1970’s Jeep CJ7 CJ5 Renegade Factory Forged Aluminum Slotted Wheel. This is a rare and highly sought after wheel that was a factory optional wheel for CJ’s back in the day. The wheel is pretty nice and its been off a Jeep for years. The aluminum is in good shape. The lug holes are in good shape. The wheel measures 15×7. There are a couple nicks in the aluminum and around the outer lip where wheels have been stacked on top of it. It should polish up well and be ready to run again.”

1948 CJ-2A with Mahl Loader at Bring-A-Trailer Auction
Glenn spotted this rare and restored Mahl Loader and CJ-2A. There are a ton of detail photos at BaT’s auction page. Note that the serial number used for the title is an engine number and not the original serial number. So, a buyer might want to consider that it your state is extra picky.
https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1948-willys-cj-2a-18/
“This 1948 Willys CJ-2A is powered by a 134ci Go-Devil inline-four paired with a three-speed manual transmission and is fitted with a MAHL Jeep Loader attachment produced by Standard Iron & Wire Works Inc. of Minneapolis, Minnesota. The pair was acquired by the seller around 2010 and subsequently refurbished before installation of the loader in 2016. The truck is finished in black over green vinyl and features white-painted 16″ steel wheels, a fold-flat windshield, a dual-range transfer case, a power take-off unit, a Gre-Sen hydraulic pump, and cab-mounted hydraulic controls. This CJ-2A and Jeep Loader are now offered with an award, articles about the project, and a clean Minnesota title in the name of the seller’s company…..
The factory chassis tag has been replaced with a reproduction unit that shows a blank serial number, and the seller is unable to locate the chassis number on the vehicle itself. The last six digits of the VIN on the title—J172095—are consistent with that of a 1948 Willys CJ-2A.”
Here is a video:
