Karson Joins Fema Corps Tomorrow
Pardon the brazen shout out to my nineteen year-old son, Karson. Tomorrow he begins a ten month stint with Fema Corps. He will start in Sacramento, where he will go through ‘boot camp’. Once he completes his training he’ll start working somewhere in the western US.
Fema Corps is a Fema specific arm of the Americorps NCCC program. The FEMA Corps members focus on disaster preparedness, response, and recovery activities, providing support in areas ranging from working directly with disaster survivors to supporting disaster recovering centers to sharing valuable disaster preparedness and mitigation information with the public.
It should be quite an adventure for him; the start of making his own way in the world. Here’s a pic of him sitting on the bumper from 2011 (remember that time I ran out of gas . . .). Good Luck Karson!

1948 Jeepster Marina Del Rey, CA **SOLD**
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay
“No rust Jeepster. You are considering bidding on a very nice (not perfect) example of an all-American, post-war classic; the Willys Overland Jeepster, from my mother’s hometown, Toledo, Ohio. This was the first, on-road Jeep available, post World War II. This car has the original, four-cylinder, flat head, 62 horsepower, Go-Devil engine. I purchased this vehicle in late Autumn of 2011, as a winter restoration project and it is now complete. I was able to acquire the vehicle at a very reasonable price, which prompted my purchase. The Jeepster was owned by the same family for the past thirty-seven years, however it wasn’t driven often. Consequently, when I acquired the Jeepster, many small (and, some big) things needed attention, simply due to lack of use. The body is very straight and solid. I recently had the fenders and aprons painted gloss black and the Michigan Yellow body color, repainted. All five tires are new. Once the car arrived, I handed the vehicle over to my mechanic and he performed the following work . . .(read the rest on eBay)”

FC-150 Utility Bed OR Entire FC Lee’s Summit, MO on **SOLD**
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
“I have had many requests to sell the entire Willys FC150, so after discussing it with my son, we would be open to selling this and focusing our efforts on my late fathers 1974 F250 4X4 HiBoy with 30,000 miles so please email with any questions and I can send additional pictures if needed.
This Jeep has been stored in a concrete building since 1965 and I dug it out this past weekend so that I can start a restoration project of the body with my son. It belonged to my grandfather who owned a local shortline railroad and he used the FC150 as a service truck to repair locomotives. He had taken the engine out and rebuilt it but never reinstalled it due to a health issue. Over the past month, I have replaced the seals and painted the engine. I have also rebuilt the transmission and transfercase so the engine, transmission, and transfer case are completed, painted and ready for install.”

1954 M-170 Phoenix, AZ $4000
UPDATE: Still Available
(12/16/2012) This appears solid. I think this might have been given a camp-style paint job that was then covered with some cheap green spray paint.
“1954 Willys M170 Jeep CJ6
All stock running gear but not sure if everything is original to the jeep. F134 engine, T90 transmission, D18 transfer, dana 25 front and dana 44 rear. Replaced all fluids, battery, motor mounts, plugs, wires, steering parts, exhaust parts, master cylinder and fuel pump. No rust and all corners are solid. Very good start to restore or with some work would make a nice trail rig. Starts right away but I don’t know much about the drive train. Was not running when I got it but after replacing all the parts above it runs and drives. I bought it to fix up but I don’t have the time. PLEASE do some research on this jeep or know what it is before calling. This would not be a good daily driver. It is almost 60 years old and only goes about 50mph.
The M170 is a very rare jeep. They only made around 4000 of them from 1953 to 1964. These were originally used as front line ambulances or radio trucks. This was the CJ6 before they started making them. It was originally 24volt but has been switched to 12.
4,000 OBO or trade
Please call or text Charlie at 602-79one*two6one1”
1948 CJ-2A Chippewa Falls, WI **SOLD**
UPDATE: Was $1400. **SOLD**
(10/19/2012) This may be worth a look. I love the looks of those Ford Flathead motors.
“I have a 1948 Willys CJ-2a that is in decent condition. The body is pretty sound, there are a few rusty spots here and there. The main area of concern is a few spots in the front toeboards. If you have the capability to weld, these repairs should be no big deal. Overall this Jeep is very fixable. The master cylinder and slave cylinder need to be rebuilt, and this thing could be drivable.
Someone retrofitted a late model Ford flathead v-8 motor into this thing many years ago. The motor runs excellent, and has 50 pounds of oil pressure. Clear title to the Willys. I can’t tell you anything more than what I wrote here, you’re going to have to assess the vehicle with your own two eyes in person.”
