“This a project that I have no time to finish, It is a early civilian cj2a with all the correct rare parts to make it orginal. I have nos keyed coil, tailight, and horn all correct to this jeep and vin number. It is a totally rebuilt drivable chassie. The motor, tranny and transfer are all rebuilt. I have a very solid body with the floors cut out to go with it, I also have the floor pans to be welded in.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $4200
“1942 GPW matching numbers title frame and engine. Very hard to find! Engine runs well, 90 PSI all cylinders. 50 PSI oil cold, drops to 40 plus at fast idle warm. T-84 intact. Tub could be saved, but not for faint of heart. Missing: Correct grill, seats, gas tank and rear script. Incorrect air cleaner, oil filter (has full flow) and wheels. Very good frame.”
Dan spotted this wagon. He notes it’s a good deal if the price stays low.
“1953 Willys Overland Station Wagon…..2Wheel Drive. I’m not 100% sure of the exact year model but believe it to be a 53. The truck is in extremely good shape and the only rust I have found on the vehicle is the front floor pans. The rust in the front pans is only in the center of the sheet metal and is not into the structure or seams of the pan. There is no engne or transmission. The rear floors, doors, rockers, tailgate, roof seam, etc., are in perfect shape. Suspension is all original. All the glass is still in the truck…some is cracked in places but is all there.
All in all a very nice rust free (for the most part) Willys Overland. It was going to be a personal project but you know the story…..along came a baby girl !!! And we all know which one took priority. You won’t be disappointed in the body on this truck …it is in very nice condition.”

The engine is out of the jeep.
“Up for TRADE is my cj3a. The tub is in great condition as far as rust and damage. Frame is also in excellent condition. I took the engine trans and transfer case out in order to do a swap. I have the desirable buick dauntless 225 v6 to go back in it along with most of the parts for the swap. The motor is free and complete other than the alternator. It has 33″ 12.50 wide brutes on wagon wheel rims. Tires have some dry rot but all hold air and have 100% tread. It needs new u bolts on the front axle, so as of now the axle is off. I am ONLY interested in trading, unless I get $1500 cash. The engine alone is worth $800, not to mention a very good condition jeep to go along with it. If this jeep was put back together it would be an awesome ride. Im interested in trading for other 4×4 trucks, military vehicles, guns ammo and powersports. Im also Interested in 2 stroke racing three wheelers and 350x, and anything else worth what I’m asking for the jeep.”
No pics provided. Based on past ads, these could be Hurricane or Turbine Rims.

Granny low 4-speed, warn manual lock out hubs up front. 4 wheel drive works great, truck runs and drives awesome. Very solid. All the lights work, fires right up everytime. Brand new tires.

“1962 Willys Wagon with AMC 401 V8, Turbo 400, Dana 300 and Dana 44 Axles. More info in Montana CL ad. Runs good. Interesting trades considered. Thanks”
How about this great ad from the August 9, 1943, issue of Newsweek. I’ll be posting a different one from Newsweek tomorrow. This is pieced together from two different pages.
I spotted and purchased it on eBay today. There were three other issues, but I got outbid with a few seconds to go on the rest.
These doors came with Dexter’s Esslingen remanufactured jeep. None of the people at G503 knew anything about them. He believes it is part of a complete winter top. He was wondering if anyone knew when they were make, whether they were civilian or military, or US or European and Approx year. Really, if anyone knows anything about them it would be helpful.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay
“Up for auction is a 1948 Willy’s Jeepster. This vehicle has been 99% restored and is in great condition. This car has the original four-cylinder, Flat head, 62 horsepower, Go-Devil engine that has been removed and fully rebuilt with only 5500 miles on the rebuild. It has a three speed manual transmission and it comes with overdrive as well that just needs to be hooked up. Many extra parts are included with the car. The interior has been done with new upholstery and carpet, and the paint is fresh with only a few minor issues below the spare tire cover. The steering wheel was replaced by the previous owner but steering wheels are available for this car through Kaiser-Willys and other online Jeep websites. New turn signals and more that is too much to list. The body is straight, and all the trim is available and will be sent with your purchase – it just needs to be installed. Spare tire cover comes with the car and has been painted to match the body color. As seen in the pictures one weekend would completely finish this car. It’s a great around town car that runs smooth and starts right up. The convertible top is in great condition and the windows are all there. The car has been completely gone through and has had a recent tune-up and brakes, steering, clutch and axles worked on. This car was bought to finish restoring quickly but I don’t have the time to drive it much less finish the minor restoration to bring it to completion. It has been kept in a warehouse, not in the weather and is in good condition.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $4000.
Only one pic, but the appears like a solid vehicle. The price looks good. It is 2wd.
“1953 Willy’s-Overland Station Wagon (The Original SUV)
Runs and drives great
Original engine and transmission have been replaced with that of a 1967 Ford Mustang 200ci inline 6 cylinder and 3 on the floor gearbox — great for reliability but unfortunately they removed the transfer case in the process.
Leather Captions chairs”
This looks good.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay
It hasn’t been started in two years, but is supposed to run.
“This jeep has been in my family for at least 1/2 of its life as well as been garaged during this time. I’ve had it for @ 10 years and my Mom and step-dad had it at their lake house in Nebraska (always garaged, was used to put the boat & jet ski’s into the shore stations), we did joy-ride in the jeep around the lake property but it is not licensed or street legal as it has not been modified. Prior to my Mom & step-dad getting it from my step-dad’s uncle, I am not aware of how long my step-dad’s uncle (now deceased) had the jeep or if he was the original owner. The title only indicates the names of my step-dad’s uncle, my step-dad and now my name.
The tag under the hood on the body indicates the following:
Willy’s Body
CJ-2A 71042
Willys Overland Motors, Inc.
Loledo, OH USA
Kindly note that in the pics I removed the driver’s side seat and gas tank to show the condition of the body as apparently that is where rust through would take place in these jeeps. The jeep does run, however, has not been started for @ 2+ years. The front bumper also has the same VIN number as the body.”
UPDATE: **SOLD* Was $400
This looks like a great price. I’d like to know who made that body. It has an extra wide lip like the later bobcats, but the step cuts in like a more standard body.
“Fiberglass CJ2A complete Jeep body have extra front fender no hood”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
The front frame rails look a little odd. I’m guessing they weren’t repaired correctly.
