(08/22/2012) This runs and drives, but has extreme makeover body steps!
“This is a 1945 Willys MB Jeep. Its your chance to own a rare piece of WWII history at a cheap price. I have set the RESERVE LOW.
The jeep has been tagged in GA but there is no Title. GA will not issue title for a vehicle this old. Purchaser will get bill of sale and copy of my registration and your state will do what ever they do, some will issue title and not sure about others.
Here is what I know! The jeep is in ok shape for it being 68 years old. It runs and drives which is good compared to most. I found this in a barn and the previous owner did not know it was a WWII jeep. This is what I did to it to get it running and driveable a couple years ago. Distributor, plug wires, clutch, master cyclinder, front & rear wheel cyc, brake lines, plugs. This jeep still turns heads of anyone driving by in its condition.
Now, Jeep is missing some of its original parts, but it still has some on there. It does not have a gas tank, I have a temperary one in the back now so I can run it. The seat are not the correct MB seats, & the windshield is from a later model willys(no glass). As you can see in the pics some one has put some sheet metal over the rear fender tool boxes- im sure to cover the small rust holes in there. Also they put it on the side steps. It can easily be removed by someone who can do meatl work- I cant! I never had a chance to go thru the transmission. It will stick in third gear every now and then but has never affected me driving up & down road. data plate on dash are missing, but frame tag is intack.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $5500.
(02/17/2013) James pointed out this body has several patches, which I missed. And originally forgot to mention the strange cowl thing (vent?). I wonder why all the holes in the windshield frame. (see pic 3).
“1948 Willy 2As Jeep. The first civilian jeep model. Used originally as a farm vehicle. I purchased this jeep in 1994 and slowly rebuilt it keeping mostly original parts. It runs well and is fun to drive. Stored inside. I would like to have the space.”
UPDATE: Still Available
(03/18/2013) This needs a new throwout bearing.
“1963 CJ3B High hood Willy’s Jeep. Powered by a good running ford small block 302. Its a little ruff, but with a little tlc it’ll be perfect. The only thing this rig needs is a new throw out bearing and some new tires to be back on the road again. Clear title and keys (key rather) $2,500 as is, if it doesn’t sell before I fix what’s wrong with it and clean it up then the price will go up to reflect said work. (719) 359-2029 Serious inquiries ONLY!!! If the posting is still up then I still have it.”
It runs and drives. It has the sideshift T-90.
“1946 WILLYS VEC JEEP, SERIAL NUMBER CJ2A 19143, MATCHING FRAME, BODY AND SERIAL NUMBER PLATE, ENGINE IS A LATER MODEL WILLYS 134 “F” HEAD OVERHEAD VALVE (4 of the valves are in the head) WITH 90 HP INSTEAD OF THE STANDARD 60 HP FLAT HEAD.
It has been converted to 12 volt electrics with a remanufactured Chrysler generator, has new carburetor, solenoid, fuel pump, coil, remanufactured 12 volt starter.
ORIGINAL CJ2A Spartan horn, CJ speedo (excellent numbers), fuel gauge, oil gauge, dash light, original 16 inch wheels (one is solid), 6.50 mud grip tires, side mounted spare tire rack, front seat frames, fuel tank, original complete windshield.
Standard Military oil filter, it has the desirable lockout hubs, these are the most positive lockout hubs made, no springs to lock them in, just pull out the levers and turn them to “lock” or “free”, mechanically locks in or out.
Jack and lug wrench and extra spray paint included in tool box under passenger’s seat.
The previous owner made repairs to front and rear floors, not perfect, but very solid and Rino coated to make it quieter, painted it John Deer green and yellow, not perfect, but OK, boiled out the tank and coated inside.
It starts easy, drives good, stops good, works good in all gears, does not jump out of second gear, it will spin all four wheels on take off and skid all four wheels on hard braking. Holds 20-30 psi oil pressure at warm idle, maintains 180 degrees temperature, does not smoke, engine very quiet and smooth. (more info on eBay)
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
This stock jeep in original condition includes a Sears trailer.
You are bidding on a 1946 CJ2A Willys Jeep. This jeep has not been restored and is in original condition. As you can see in the photos the life of this jeep is easily documented from the day it was ordered until today. It started out life in New Hampshire where it was purchased for farm life. Shortly after purchase the owner died and the jeep sat for many years. A car collector who lived next to the farm took the jeep in but never used it. That is who I purchased it from and have been the proud owner for the past 20+ years. Please note that Connecticut is not a title state, so I do not have a title to go with this jeep. I never got one and can not supply you with a title. The jeep, in perfect running condition, has 7218 miles on it as of today. Hopefully you can see in the photos how nice the body is, but if you can’t and you would like to come see the jeep in person and give it a test drive you are more than welcome to come and inspect it for yourself. I’ve been assembling some information on the O.E. Szekely and Associates Navy Jeeps built from CJ-3A parts. These were used to act as “Self-propelled electric power plants” on land and on battleships. They were made in three-wheeled and four-wheeled versions.
There is also a report that O.E. Szekely served 3 1/2 years in the USNR. This may have given him the contacts necessary to arrange the contract(s) for the APU Jeeps.

Some great photos from WillysArgentina of APUs
1. UPDATE: I dont’ know why I labeled this an APU. It was definitely in the Navy, but after further review, I see no reason to think it was a Szekely jeep. It is a Four wheel CJ-3A with a L-head that was listed here http://www.ewillys.com/2010/04/28/1951-navy-cj-3a-denver-co-ebay/
2. Four wheel CJ-3A APU with a F-head (and hood bump). The two extra gauges were added as well. Here are a couple pics of Tom’s jeep.
3. Three wheel CJ-3A APU with a L-head.

“This Jeep has been carefully rebuilt from the ground up over 3 years by my father, a retired certified ASEA mechanic. Starting from a sandblasted frame, new-off-shelf (N.O.S) parts were used whenever possible. Every piece has been carefully rebuilt and reassembled – you won’t find a cleaner, or more authentic rebuild of a 1947 Willy’s. Lots of fun to take off-road, or cruise around town with the windshield down. See below for details on each component. “

“I am selling a 1942 Ford GPW Military Jeep. I purchased this Jeep to restore but have
hurt my back and now need to sell it. GPW’s are getting harder to find now.
This particular one is still in running condition and the engine appears to be complete.
All the gauges and VIN tags are there. The body is rough but I believe its repairable.
A GPW of course comes with a solid tailgate but this Jeep has no tailgate.
I apologize for the lack of pictures. We just had 8 inches of snow and I’ve been in
bed for a week with a bad back. I will add pictures in a few days if I see some
interest in this Jeep. Feel free to email with questions. I’ve applied for a title
in my name but it hasn’t come yet. I bought this Jeep with a good Title so eventually
the Title will be available.”
