UPDATE: Leo discovered this jeep sold for $15,000 at the in-person auction on Saturday April 20th.
WOW! Doug just spotted this early VEC. It is listed as a 1945 and looks wonderfully stock, with full floaters, column shift, three data tags and (I think) square bolt heads on the windshield.

1. A squad of GI’s, including one armed with a Thompson Submachine Gun, huddle around a Jeep next to a Sigfried Line pillbox. They’re listening to the radio sitting on the Jeep, listening to the Streetcar World Series. This was Game 4 between the St. Louis Browns and St. Louis Cardials. The Cards beat the Browns 5-1 and drew even in the series at 2-2. October 7, 1944.
2. A GI tries to extinguish the flames on a burning Jeep on October 10, 1944 in the German city of Alsdorf. The Jeep had been hit during a German artillery barrage.
3. GI’s from the 45th Infantry Division’s 157th Regiment ford the Moselle River in a Willys Jeep, Fall 1944 near Igney, France.
4. The burnt and wrecked remains of a Jeep sits stripped on a snowy road near Berveaux, Luxemburg right at the end of the Battle of the Bulge in January, 1945. The photo was taken by a combat camerman assigned to the 26th Infantry Division.
5. Two 99th Infantry Division GI’s work to chage a tire and repair their Jeep in the snow near Eloenborn, Belgium on January 27, 1945.
Not surprisingly, US Steel supported the war effort.

Here’s a rare photo of a BRC-60 and a couple cows.

This is a very unique opportunity to own one of the rarest items you possibly could for a MB or GPW.
+Rarely are inner windshields not rusted out.
+Almost unheard of is two intact panes of factory glass with factory markings. These things were probably breaking since day one.
+ Unheard of is a inner windshield in this condition found separate of find of a once in a lifetime unrestored jeep find.
The windshield frame is in amazing condition with very little surface rust. I believe the original paint is intact below a layer of black paint that is flaking and chipping off in places.
Both panes are marked 5-44 and in good shape; no chips, no cracks, there are however a few scratches in the glass that are hard to capture in pictures but nothing that really directly impedes the view while driving or obnoxiously stands out too much.”

“ok keep in mind this thing was made in 1949 but it is a driver and is NOT all rusted out. it has a 350 v8 motor with a 350 auto trans, factory overland overdrive and twin stick transfer case, power stering, power brakes (4 wheel disk), full soft top with doors, a bikini top, capet and good seats. the roll bar in the pics is removable. title in hand.”

Great Condition, I bought From the Original Owner with complete history since new, only has about 30K actual miles ( motor was replaced with a GM overhead cam 4 cylinder in 1980 that runs excellent ).
The Willys is Rust Free and has never had any rust repair to the floor pans and the frame is also rust free. The Willys has always has been garage kept for the past 50 plus years.
New wheels, tires, seats and paint… and is titled with a antique tag and is Road Legal, I drive it every day!!!

“’46 Willys Jeep, stock engine has been rebuilt, rebuilt tranny and transfer, good tires. Converted to 12volt, and electric fuel pump, tow hitch kit on front with jack, receiver hitch in rear. Some rust…bed has been covered with aluminum diamond plate. Runs and shifts great!!!”

“1953 WILLYS JEEP. Rebuilt motor runs good. Frame and running gear good shape. This is the first year of the F-head engine so it is a high hood. Jeep does need some work, body has some patching and some more is needed . Some floor work would be needed as well as some brake work ( have brake parts ).
