Here’s a dual PTO CJ-2A in good shape. I can’t imagine this will last long.
“This antique Jeep is really unusual. It has two PTOs and a handle under the driver’s side of the car that engages either PTO. I don’t know how to operate it, but it is all there. It runs perfectly and looks good. The roughest part is rust around the windshield frame. In the photo of the engine, there is an upper cylinder lubricating system that can be seen in the upper right hand corner of the photo. It also has a roll bar and seat belts. Included in the price is an aluminum top with aluminum doors.”
I had planned to do some posts, but I decided to sleep instead. So, until I get to the rest of the posts (which might not appear until monday), enjoy this great old ‘jeeping’ video forwarded by Colin.
Tom was wondering if anyone knows what the proper markings for a CJ-3A APU Navy Jeep might be? He’s been restoring a Modified by O.E.Szekely & Assoc jeep, but can’t find any information on the markings. I didn’t have any luck either.
This page show some markings on the APU jeep on the bottom, but are those correct? My understanding is that the vehicles were purchased by the Navy. I’m unclear how many were used by the Marine Corps: http://www.ewillys.com/2013/03/25/the-o-e-szekely-apu-navy-jeeps/

“Jeep frame off restore of the 1943 only got as far as the frame off, looking for interested individuals, divorce forces sale. Most parts are included, it needs little dodads like knobs and canvas. The Jeep ran when I drove it off of the tractor trailer that delivered it from Kansas, and once it was in the garage I got it down to the frame and sandblasted the frame partially and did some welding on the tub. The major parts I disposed of due to them being from a later version jeep are the windshield, seats, gas tank, and wheels and tires. The transfer case is from a GPW Ford version of the same period. Thanks for your interest.”
