Buz spotted these two photos from HAMB. The photos were taken by Jack Brands. I tried to identify this European FC van, but didn’t have any luck. Anyone know? Ambulance maybe?
Jan 1944 Travel Trailer Article about Post War Camping on eBay
This magazine apparently has an article about post war jeep camping. I haven’t seen the article, but would like a copy if anyone has the magazine.
“Rare original 1944 Jan. issue Automobile and Trailer Travel Magazine
wonderful references to WWII home front activities, manufacture companies’ post war planning,
make way for Johnny Doughboy jeep camping when war ends.

Dec 23, 1941, Photo of Jeeps Driven into Box Cars
This sold a couple days ago, but is still a neat photo. It shows jeeps being driven into box cars.
“This is an original press photo. Credit-NEAPhoto measures 8.5 x 6.5inches. Photo is dated 12-23-1941.”
Year of the Jeep by Keith Robertson **SOLD**
UPDATE: Here’s a version that starts at $19.99 on eBay (ends Friday 10am PST)
The story is straightforward: “By taking gardening jobs, catching bats and thieves, diving for bricks in a swimming pool, and inciting the interest of some helpful friends, a young boy makes his daydream of owning a jeep come true.”
For comparison, here is the hardback cover:

FJ-3 & FJ-3A Booklets on eBay
Ted’s got a few FJ items for sale:
1) 1962 FJ-3A Booklet
“Up for auction is a very nice, original Willys Motors Chassis and Body Parts list for the Jeep FJ 3A Fleet van. This is NOT A REPRODUCTION. It has a copyright of 1962 and form number of W1141. I’m guessing it’s a first edition as it is not marked otherwise. The list has complete Willys original part numbers for every part covered, making this a very essential piece of Willys literature to anyone restoring or doing a project on one of the rarer Jeep models, the FJ3A Fleetvan.
Overall the condition is very good to excellent. The outer covers show the usual wear of something 50+ years old, with no major damage. The inner pages are all intact, with no staining or damage, and I would consider them to be in excellent condition.”

A Couple Days Near Mt. Rainier
I’ve caught up on a few things, but am still behind on eWillys. So, just a few posts tonight. More tomorrow. Also, I ordered the book proofs AND purchased www.amberpanels.com (not sure why I didn’t think to purchase that domain name sooner).
We had two blue-sky days of camping at Ohanapecosh and ZERO cell reception! The second night was a little noisy, thanks to a visit by the local Boys and Girls Club at two nearby camping spots. Oh well, at least it was pretty! Here are a few photos.
Jeep Train in Colombia
Sebastian’s in Colombia for a week and forwarded this article regarding a jeep train in Colombia. Here are a few photos and the link to the article (it is in Spanish).
