The story is straightforward: “By taking gardening jobs, catching bats and thieves, diving for bricks in a swimming pool, and inciting the interest of some helpful friends, a young boy makes his daydream of owning a jeep come true.”

Ted’s got a few FJ items for sale:
1) 1962 FJ-3A Booklet
“Up for auction is a very nice, original Willys Motors Chassis and Body Parts list for the Jeep FJ 3A Fleet van. This is NOT A REPRODUCTION. It has a copyright of 1962 and form number of W1141. I’m guessing it’s a first edition as it is not marked otherwise. The list has complete Willys original part numbers for every part covered, making this a very essential piece of Willys literature to anyone restoring or doing a project on one of the rarer Jeep models, the FJ3A Fleetvan.
Overall the condition is very good to excellent. The outer covers show the usual wear of something 50+ years old, with no major damage. The inner pages are all intact, with no staining or damage, and I would consider them to be in excellent condition.”

I’ve caught up on a few things, but am still behind on eWillys. So, just a few posts tonight. More tomorrow. Also, I ordered the book proofs AND purchased www.amberpanels.com (not sure why I didn’t think to purchase that domain name sooner).
We had two blue-sky days of camping at Ohanapecosh and ZERO cell reception! The second night was a little noisy, thanks to a visit by the local Boys and Girls Club at two nearby camping spots. Oh well, at least it was pretty! Here are a few photos.
Sebastian’s in Colombia for a week and forwarded this article regarding a jeep train in Colombia. Here are a few photos and the link to the article (it is in Spanish).

Marty spotted this old racer with a f-head. It’s got the old mini-terras, the mismatched rims, patched body panels, and a hole in the hood (who needs a scoop for racing?). Looks like a fun little rig.
“I have a 1944 willys jeep for sale. It ran when parked but has been sitting for 2 yrs. It has an f head 4 cylinder and 4 speed with depend t case wich means you can select front, rear, and 4 wheel drive. The rear end is locked. It was an old race jeep and would take a bit of work to be street legal again. Would be a cool wheeler project. It does have windshield frame not in pic though.”
