“1946 cj2a VIN 54883.
It is time to liquidate some assets so my wife of almost 50 years can take a trip back to her native Korea Possibly for the last time. So I thought it would be fitting that ” The other woman ” name of the jeep .. should be the asset to liquidate. She ( the jeep ) is located in West Michigan, and can be delivered by me..on a trailer for a fee. As we all know …there is MUCH more invested in Resto/Mod than we will ever re coupe… but the ability to work on this old girl was well worth it. She spent 2 winters in a Chrysler/Jeep dealership show room. and in covered storage to date ( started up on a monthly basis ) You will note this baby has two option not seen very often.. Dual wheels AND extended cargo area ( Both options offered for farm use in the late 1940s ) see pictures here. https://skydrive.live.com/?cid=CC846636913B7D9D&id=CC846636913B7D9D%21426
Well over 20k invested.. If you need more info just ask. It is always a sad day when we decide to part with a old friend. BTW the dates on the photos are NOT the correct date, I did not know how to change them.. these photos were taken in 2012 you may call,231 three four nine 6060 NLT 10 PM EST please . Thanks for looking and thinking about adding Just one more to you Collection.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3000.
(05/28/2013) The seller needs to adjust several of the claims, but I do find the spool on the front of this jeep interesting.
“This is not a civilian clone it’s a true military unit.
1 of 40,000 made – the rarest of the Willys military Jeeps.
It’s not running because it needs plug wires and tuning.
The front passenger side tire inner tube needs to be replaced.
The body is not perfect – the worst is the tool box under the passenger seat – a replacement costs $80.”
UPDATE: Was $5000.**SOLD**
(07/06/2013) It looks good, but probably needs another rebuild.
“This 1948 CJ2A Jeep with a flathead 4 was actually restored over twenty years ago, then parked in a barn and never driven again. It probably has only 10 miles on the new engine. Of course the paint is shot and all of the seals will need to be redone etc, but overall it is in good shape. It has no rust. Please phone with further questions or to come and see this Jeep!”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $7000.
“1948 Willy’s CJ2 Jeep 4×4. Clean A box title with 36k original miles. My father bought as a father son toy and is now ill and he decided we should pass it on to someone else.
It runs, drives, stops great.
5 Brand new tires (mounted since a few of the pictures as you can see)
New seats – front and rear
New hoses
Full service to engine, coolant, trans, transfer case, Front and rear end, etc. We went through it so i’d be reliable and we haven’t had time to use it much. It’s ready for a new home!
Has a bumper hitch on rear and a tow bar on the front and 4wd. Great little Willys!!”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $6500
(07/09/2013) It appears there has been some work near the steps on both sides. It looks sound otherwise.
“Up for sale is this 1949 Willys CJ3A, it has the original steel body, is in great shape with no rust. It has a 4-cyl (not the original flat head) electronic ignition engine with the original three speed transmission, four-wheel drive and hi and lo range. It runs well needs nothing to enjoy for what it is.
It has all new wiring and lighting, gauges all work, new brake lines and frame is completely painted as well. It is Military OD green has a roll bar for added protection with the flip up back seat and high back buckets. It also has a brand new 12000 winch.
This is great for a camp or driving to local shows…it won’t be the winner but it does get all the attention. Also has a detachable draw tite tow bar for towing to the sippy hole!
It is on the road so if you would like to come have a look and go for a ride please”

Have tub, cj-5 front clip, axles, CJ-7 lift springs (2″ or 4″.. not sure… may be stock) and a custom made 2×4 box tube frame.

If the underside rust is nil, given the motor change and the gutter rot this would be a good candidate for Tour Wagon.
“Willys Wagon 4×4. Chevy 283 eng. 12v. Running, registered, rusty, rotting rain gutter, ready for restoration. Needs another body. Lots of original parts – seats, rims, etc. No e-mails. (562) 33one-one483. Long Beach. Best offer. View any day after 2pm.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $500
There is some parts value here. I thought the hardtop was interesting.
“I have a M38A1 Jeep that I need to let go. I’m not going to lie, it needs work. The body has a lot of rust from sitting on the west side most of its life. It has been converted from 24V to 12V, but the rewire job is not complete. It comes with two motors. The original motor needs barrings and has been removed. The motor in it is from a ’47 Jeep and only has 30k miles on it. It is a project and as much as I would like to invest the time and money, I lack both. There is NO TITLE and it will need to be towed away. Will consider all reasonable offers.”
Mark just listed these parts at sellajeep.
