“This is an all original 1 family owned 1966 JEEP CJ-6 w/ Kelly All steel Half Cab & original 6′ Meyers Plow …Only 30K mi. and has the Dauntless V6 !!…Interior is super for age..exterior shows mostly surface rust…a few rust throughs, but nothing too severe…..I had 2 cans of gloss white so I decided to see what the cab would look like redone as it was yellowed on outside (like in the back photo)..I spent just 2 hours with quick sanding and then ran out of paint before I was able to completely spray the top, but I think you get an idea of what it will look like…I didn’t touch anything else…Have original bill of sale from 12/1965…which shows the half cab and Meyers plow being original!!….Last used a couple years ago before the owner just got too old…This would not be a hard restoration, Again, this is 100% original and unmolested”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $4950.

“hello im a finally selling my cj2.. i have had it now for over 35 years. I completely rebuilt it in 1980 every last bolt was taken out and replaced.. Everything is close to original. original 134 hurricane motor in front of the t90 transmission and a dana Spicer 18 transfer case. all original axles. this jeep can crawl up anything without even being in it. still starts and runs like a charm. the motor probably has less than 900 miles on it if that. the only thing that makes this jeep look bad is the paint. 33 yr old paint. other than that my loss is you gain. you must see to appreciate this old beauty.”

“Very early civilian version of the venerable WWII Jeep trailer. Bantam lost the contract to make the Jeep, but they won the contract to make these trailers as a conciliation. This was made shortly after the war as a perfect trailer to use with the newly invented CJ Jeep.
This trailer is in very original shape. There are some bruises and rust. The rust is mostly contained to the floor. I tried to take pictures that represent the condition the best I can. If you would like more pics, just ask. I think that with a little bit of sweat equity, this would be a great little trailer. ”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Best Offer.
I’ve updated the post to correct my own confusion.

I spent too much time cooking tamales Wednesday night and ran out of energy to do updates. I made some roasted corn tamales with a mole sauce and layered black bean puree and banana puree tamales with a coconut sauce. Ann was very pleased with the results.
On another note, I was answering a reader’s question when I ran across this really cool car for sale, a former Texaco Courtesy car. I thought it was so neat that I wanted to share it. I don’t know anything about these or if the price is reasonable or not ($3750). It’s in Glyndon, MN.

Claus recently moved from South Africa to Namibia. As part of the move, he drove his restored CJ-2A to his new home. Reminds me of the Southwest.
He writes, “I drove my 48 all the way from Cape Town to my home town of Windhoek along dirt and gravel roads for a total of 1822km (about 1100 miles). Stunning adventure. The first 600km odd km’s up to the border was on tar road and mostly at night. I did that stretch, 589km to be exact in 11 hours with plenty of night driving, but I had to push it to escape bad weather which was following us from the south. The other 1200km odd km were just gravel road and I have a lot of pics. A friend joined me on the trip, didn’t think she would survive as it was wet and very cold at times but we had a blast. My jeep performed so well and I was so proud of her. Went at a slow pace no rush generally we were doing 100miles a day, find a farm were would could camp and off we went again – trip took 7 days.”
Marc spotted this unique press photo of Jack Price.
“This is an original press photo. Credit-Cleveland PressPhoto measures 8 x 10inches. Photo is dated 08-03-1946.”
I’m not sure I want to be in a jeep when I Rhino comes my direction . . .
