“1959 Jeep FC 150 4×4
***IOWA LIFE VEHICLE – not going to be a rust free southern state vehicle
*** Project Vehicle
Hurricane F4-134 Engine – 3 Speed Transmission – 4×4 works great.
12V Generator – Headlights, taillights, turns, breaks, blower for heater, and wipers, and gauges all worked well. Ignition switch went out and it controls most of these so I disconnected them and clipped some of the wiring and did not re connect. My plan was to rewire the entire unit with new wires and I never got around to it. All the wires are hanging and could be hooked back up.
Runs and drives great. Have been driving it around town – starts up perfect every time and runs strong.
Unit does have some body and cosmetic work the COULD be done, if you chose. From looking at the pictures you can see most of the bad spots. All 4 corners have some issues – need work. I stuck a magnet to them and beat around on them – magnet stuck well some bondo in them. Floors are ate up pretty good and have temporary replacement steel over them.

M-274 Mule McHenry, IL **SOLD**
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $8000.
“This is a m274 mule, it was made by willys. It has a NOS(new old stock) 2 cylinder engine with only 16 hours on it. It runs like new, cause it is. It has 4 wheel steering and a light weight magnesium deck. It has electric starter, battery and alt, to run lights(forward and rear) and 12 volt car charger(to charge gps or phone). Im using a 50cal waterproof box to house the starting key, light switches, and 12 volt charger.Mules only came with one drivers seat so I added a second seat and basket. Both seats are adjustable and have new fabric on them. Brand new tires, new stainless steel gas tank. This mule is in great shape, I built it for myself to keep, but I’m moving and have no safe place to keep it. There are not many of these machines left, and they continue to increase there value every year.”

Ford GP Goes Through Manuevers
The September 1941 issue of Popular Mechanics (pg 3) features this photo of a Ford GP landing on to the ground. The article suggests there was a great deal of excitement over the jeep’s possibilities. I’ve included some of the text from the article (which covers a variety of war vehicles). The write discusses the potential for jeeps, then mentions a four wheeled ‘tank’ with independent suspension. To me that sounded a lot like the Tucker Combat Car.
