“HAS A 4 CYLINDER FLATHEAD MOTOR THAT RUNS GREAT.

This needs the tranny reinstalled. Might be a good price. The paint scheme is unusual.

For the price, this seems like a good deal. Unclear to me what’s wrong with it.
“It’s a 72 hunter green Wagooneer with a 360 v8 , turbo 400 transmission, and a Dana 20 transfer case. it has a Dana 35 front axle with lock in- lock out hubs, and a Dana 44 rear axle with posi-traction. It has a two inch lift with 30×9.50×15 mud king mts with 95% tread, wrapped around white wagon wheels. The motor has been rebuilt and has roughly 3,000 miles on it and the rest of the truck has 153,000 miles on it. The body has a couple dings in it but nothing terrible and needs a paint job and a radio since the radio has been stolen. It’s a very solid truck, just needs some tlc, price is negotiable call 334-399-0730”
This is listed as a “1945 Jeep”. Could be anything.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2000.
“Now my 1949 Jeep Willys is for sale. I owned this Jeep about 8 years and thought each year that I would be able to start restoring it, but it never happened. So I think it’s time for us to part ways.
Front fender was probably redone by the previous owner because it is strong and without rust.
Frame has surface rust, but nothing critical.
Same with the body – it’s not too bad for it’s age, but has some patches on the front floorboards.
For me it looks like everything is original.
I ran the engine last time 2 years ago. Engine is free and I’m positively sure that if I put in fresh gas and a good battery, it would start right up.
When i drove it around the yard 2 years ago, transmission and transfer case were working well.
No brakes.”
No pics provided.
“All parts available except tub. Good grill, hood, cowl/dash, excellent rolling frame w/ springs, axles & steering gear, transmission, Hurricane 4cyl block, head, carb, starter, clutch, water pump, etc. Will separate. calls only please.

“Jeepers, creepers, have we got something for you!
Our Dad had a 1946 Willy’s Jeep that he cruised around the farm in. This vehicle has some emotional value to us, but things change. We had this Jeep tuned up several years ago, new military style tires (about five miles on them), and a new 6 volt battery, but alas the clutch went south. We discovered in the back corners of the barn additional parts such as: gas tank, radiator, front fenders, windshield, hood and front grill. We are motivated to sell, and would like to sell as a complete package. There is no title.”
This weighs about 250lbs. In August a bumper was listed that got a bid as high as $400. This one begins at $150. One day left.
“JEEP WEIGHT, FITS CJ’S OF THE 1947 ERA AS IT CAME OFF A 1947. WILL FIT ANY OTHERS THAT HAVE THE SAME DIMENSIONS IN BETWEEN THE GRILL AND BUMPER , AND BETWEEN THE FRAME RAILS AS THAT IS WHERE IT BOLTS TO. WEIGHT IS TO PROVIDE EXTRA TRACTION, IT MUST WEIGH ABOUT 200#/250# THAT IS A GUESS, BUT IS VERY HEAVY. THE HOLES YOU SEE IN THE TOP ARE HANDLES TO PICK IT UP AND PLACE IT IN POSITION TO BOLT TO FRAME. THIS IS A PICKUP ONLY! IT HAS BEEN STORED INSIDE, AND IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION. SOLD AS IS BECAUSE OF AGE. IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS PLEASE ASK THEM!”
Doug had some more (over a thousand) photos digitized from a variety of southeast Asian places from the 50s and 60s and 70s. They were taken by a man who was in the Navy and seems to have traveled or lived all over. Doug has posted over a thousand pictures on Flickr. There are both location photos and photos of business cards, which I found interesting.
See all of them here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/58451159@N00/
Here are a few closeups of photos with jeeps:

You might remember this photo that was posted on eWillys in early November. The movie playing at the theatre was “Destination Vietnam”. 1968 Subic Bay, Philippines (Original Photo)
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
Glenn spotted this non-running FC.
“You are bidding on a 1959 FC-170 Willys Pickup.. It came out of Boulder City, Nevada owned by a miner. Been sitting for 20 years before I bought it 2 years ago. I have not tried to start it to see if it runs. It is a 6 cylinder flat head. Everything on the motor and running gear is original. Has custom made stacks. One is an exhaust stack and the other one is a coolant reservoir. It looks like it is all there as far as running gear goes. It has slight rust. Clear California title. It is registered in op. Couple of the side flat glass is cracked. What you see is what you get”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1900
“I am active duty USMC stationed in California. I purchased this jeep a few years ago to restore, but other priorities come first and I need to pass this jeep on to someone who will use it.
This is an original US Army M38 Willys jeep. The drive train is all there and the body is about 75%. I have never tried to start it but was told by the previous owner that it was running when parked. The original seats and small things like the frames and brackets for the canvas top are all missing. It has some non-original seats in it and looks like it was used as a hunting jeep at one time. No extras, no top or doors, bare bones, just what’s in the photos. I have the Tx title.
This is a good restoration project at a great price. I have restored two other jeeps and they were about in this condition when I got them, but were much more expensive.
Please contact me with an offer if interested. I am in California, but I want to sell and will actively monitor my email. I have folks in the area who will be available to show the jeep to buyers. Thanks!”
Based on the parking lights, this appears to be a 2A. Likely not much value here, though the bumper looks pretty straight.
“For sale is one jeep, selling as parts. Please call 615-three three 0-6834.”

I’ll be doing updates during the day at some point Sunday. Until then, here’s a photo from a jeep trip we took during Memorial Day Weekend, 1981. I believe it was taken somewhere on the east side of the mountains probably in the hills above Cle Elum. I was 16 at the time and dad was letting me drive most of the trip, so I was having fun. Our CJ-5 is on the left. Click on the photo to make it bigger.
UPDATE: Price dropped to $4800.
