Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Jeep 1956-1963 FC-150 4X4 Cab over jeep Willys. I am not sure of the year.Can’t find the Vin Number on the truck. Great Price for a very Rare Jeep!! Overall Cond. Fair to poor, Has a alot of rust on body.Frame and drive train in good shape. 4 cyl with Spicer transfer case etc. I don’t know alot about it and someone who is interested would know more than me. “1941 Willys Jeep body on a Fuller built 90 inch WB chassis, Wrangler springs front and four link and quarter elliptic springs rear. All Toyota running gear including 22RE, Toyota 5 speed trany, Marlin Crawler 4.7 transfer case. Toyota CV joint drive shafts, front and rear.Toyota cable operated locker in the rear with a trutrack in the front. Toyota power steering, cross over to Sky Manufacturing High steer arms, one ton tie rod ends. 35 12.5 15 BFG KM tires with 32 bolt beadlocks. It weighs 3040 lbs wet. 10 gallon fuel tank with a screw in cap, no leaking, like most old Jeeps. 1941 Ca license Plate The front and rear seats are covered in top material that has a 10 year guarantee in the sun. It has onboard air! Seats 4 grown ups.
It does the Rubicon with ease as well as Foredice creek. It did the Pipe Jam trail In less than an hour. With 5.29 diff. gears and 35 inch tires it is geared just like a stock Toyota Pickup. it is a little too soft to drive on the street at speed. Add one more leaf to each side of the the rear suspension and it is a great hwy runner. I have the extra leafs”

“All original, except electrical upgraded to 12 volt with new electronic distributor, and alternator. Runs and drives good. Everything works as it should. Brakes need repair. Bad master cylinder, I do have a brand new one in the box. Texas Clear Blue Title in my name. I am willin to negotiate, but unreasonable offers will be refused. Thanks for looking.”

“This is a rusty dinged up jeep. Dont waste my time by coming to look at it just to tell me its rusty and dented. I know that and now you know that too. Bill of sale available to purchaser. No title.
Frame is solid. No structural rust damage at all. Gauges are intact. All running gear is in place and functional. When gas and battery are hooked up, jeep will will drive on its own power. New wires/plugs/coil/etc. Huge PTO powered Ramsey winch on the back. You can purchase COMPLETE original style steel body kits for these very reasonably. With a body kit, this would be an awesome little keep. Excellent bones. Vin plates/serial plates, are intact.”

“Jeep Willy’s rat rod, Custom fabricated Jeep willys and Toyota/Nissan truck bed together with chevy 350 engine, 4bl carb, auto trans and 8 lug truck axles. 2wd. I purchased off ebay several years ago and had shipped to GA and it ran and lot drove then. (NOT STREET LEGAL, no turn signals/brake lights). frame is orginal jeep with extensions welded on to create longer wheelbase. It appears to be chevy suspension.
It has sat for over 3 years in my shop, so it will need to be towed and gas tank probably flushed out. I do not have to sell and will not accept any offers, just trying to help finance my home remodel/addition if possible if not I will keep this Jeep in the shop until I have time to finish.”

Dan spotted this rare Traveler. It’s rough, but complete.
“Willys 1961 Traveler, if you’re looking you may already know the rarity of the Willys Traveler. If you are not I would suggest a good search of the internet, try “Willys production numbers” for a start. As if it wasn’t rare enough it has all the Civilian model Traveler specific parts in tact. I have been fooling with old Willys stuff since 1972 and have never seen one with all the pieces intact. It has the factory fold up rear bench seats, it has the roof mounted spare tire carrier, it has the rear sliding side windows, it has the step plate between rear bumper and the body all still attached. These ultra rare pieces are one of the things that makes it an ideal restoration candidate. The numbers are all correct for a 1961 Traveler and it comes with a good, clean title in my name. It’s 4 wheel drive with the desirable straight “6” 226 cubic inch flathead motor. The motor spins over by hand. the transmission and transfer case are in place.

Here’s one of the odder adds I’ve ever run across. The jeep looks pretty solid.
“Okay here’s the deal.
I have a vintage 1947 CJ2A Willies Jeep. It runs, has a new brake system and is in good shape. Needs body work tho, but not what you think – the tub is actually pretty good shape comapred to most older CJs.
This was the last “barn find” you would ever come across, an older gentlemen in Newville PA had it. A friend of his mentioned owning a jeep but leaving it in a barn. They dug it out from under all the hay and stuff and he sold it. It’s inspection stickers were from 1973, a year before it was put away. This is the sort of thing you read about in magazines.
However I am young man, bouncing from job to job. I live with my folks and they are none to happy about this, so I have no where to put it.
What I am offering is this – you store the vehicle, you get part ownership. Yes I do have a title for it, yes it is in my name. I’ve had this for three years now.
We work it out simple, you have a garage or something and I put you on the title. It still needs a restoration (mainly body work) but we can figure that out.
Basically this is your chance to have your own vehicle without all the hassles and a buddy to help out. It’s all orginal, runs and I have all the paperwork lined up. I’ve owned it for three years, before that it had only one owner – the 90 year old guy out in Newville PA.

James has a Koenig Iron Works PTO Winch with a custom steel bumper with the rollers built in. He wishes to sell the entire unit PTO and all, complete and working. It was installed on his 1951 Sedan Delivery Wagon.

“1952 Willys Jeep For Sale. This is a good running Jeep that can be driven or restored. It has been patched in a few places and painted. It is very presentable, but not perfect. The Four Wheel Drive works fine and the gears shift nicely. It has a few little things wrong with it that can be fixed while you drive and enjoy it. I have a NC Title in my name. Call and come by and take a look at it. Will consider partial trade of Model T or Model A Ford, Honda CT-70, Micro Car.”
