“this jeep has an overhead cam engine from a cj3b with around 3000 miles on it. Transmission gears, bearings and syncros, clutch, brakes, master cylinder and hubs have been gone through. Tub has been sanded then rhino lined. The only downfall is there is no top on it. Great summer vehicle or purchase the soft top online. Has been garaged for the last 30+ years. 2900 is a firm price.”

Just a couple updates today. I’m doing backups as part of upgrade my laptop with more ram and a backup hard drive. It turns out copying 200 Gigs of jeep photos, videos, and more takes a LONG time.
btw, thanks to Dave Antram for my new T-shirt! Here’s a pic,
Here’s the photo the t-shirt is based on: (see photo on eBay)
Watch for a new M-677 Scam. Someone is trying to sell a M-677 that is owned by Dan Horenberger that isn’t for sale. I don’t have a link to the ad yet. Here’s a list of a few other car scheme scams that I found on the net.
The scammer’s is going by the name ‘Kelvin Hardy’ and uses the email kelvinhardy9880@gmail.com. The scammer is asking only $4000 and claims the vehicle is in Kansas.
Please let me know if you spot a current ad for it. Here’s one of the photos:
Here’s a good story about a young Teen named Ben Zenger reported in the Winston-Salem Journal on Wednesday. At 9 years old he decided he wanted a jeep. He saved up his own money and, with his parents approval, bought one: A 1954 M-38A1 that needs some work. Check out all the information at the website:

I did have a video below, but it auto-started with commercials, so here’s a still of Ben instead. Go to the website to see the video.
Motor Trend has a short throwback post about the February 1957 article on the FC-150. The author of the 1957 article made at least one error, accidentally indicating the engine was a Jeep six cylinder. I haven’t read the article, so I don’t know how through it is. You can view the short post here. Below is one of the story’s pics.
There are several issues of the Feb 1957 issue on eBay. Here’s a link to one of the cheaper ones along with a picture of the cover:
UPDATE: Brett noted the jeep is transporting the elephant. I originally thought the elephant was behind the jeep (after all, who transports an elephant in a jeep). Of course, sometimes they’ve been known to drive one.
Marc pointed out that this ‘Tour Jeep’ CJ-3B appears to have an extended rear. It looks like to me it can carry extra people. The photo is circa 1962 and is probably from Africa. I wish we had a side shot of it. The photo is located in France, but shipping is free.
“vintage silver press print,

Those are a couple hybrid jeep illustrations. Kind of a Ford GP with an early Bantam BRC side.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay
Matching numbers and 99% rust free. Should fetch a good price.
“Now this is my second jeep that I’m selling. You are bidding only on the jeep, the trailer is already sold. As you probably already know, this is the jeep that ford built to go against the Bantam BRC and the Willys MA. This is a second series GP. This jeep is in excellent condition as far as rust is concerned. All panels are 100% original. It appears that the jeep might have been rebuilt by the government due to the two different layers of green of OD green paint and blue drab numbers. Like the GPW in my other auction! I bought it from the family member who inherited the jeep from his great uncle. According to some writing under the hood, the jeep was first sold in 1959. I don’t want to say 100% but I would settle for 99% rust free as a way to describe the body and frame. She is in great running condition. Just like the GPW it is matching numbers, original tags, engine and frame match. The tool boxes are 100% solid with no pitting or cancer. All the rare parts are there with the exception of the carb which I purchased and will offer to the winner of the auction at an additional cost. Front seats are original but will need repairs as the previous owner did a poor job. You will probably not find another jeep in this condition in our life time. Remember this is unrestored and solid and requires no restoration. It would be an injustice to restore this jeep. This jeep is for the collectors out there like me who prefer the all original vehicle that requires no restoration. As with all jeeps that I sell I recommend that interested parties come see the jeep in person to come up with their own conclusion as to condition and originality. Don’t let this one get away. If you have a slat grill in similar condition I would consider a partial trade. If you have a schwimmwagen, I would consider tradin up.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on ebay.
Designed for carrying hunting dogs and more makes this an unusual FC.
“Up for auction is this unique 1958 Jeep FC-170. This is a Forward Control model with a 3-speed manual shift. The previous owner had the rear body fabricated especially for hunting. The hunting body features upper and lower seats that still have the original protectors on them. The body was designed for transporting and running hunting dogs. It features kennels for the dogs, coolers, a water tank, and racks for holding guns. This is a well designed and built unit, with solid doors, sturdy frame, it even has cushioned armrests on the hunting seats. The upgraded front bumper features a wench. Previous owner said that the mileage shown was original.
This Jeep has currently been started up and driven a small distance. The engine sounds great and the brakes seem to be working. The headlights are also working. The wench on the front has not been tested out. This is a solid and pretty complete Jeep for a 1958. The previous owner kept it in a garage since 1976 (the last time it was registered). It does need new tires and a brake checkup, once those are done it should be ready for use.
The cab is in good shape, the floor pans are solid.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $7600.

UPDATE: Was $5000. **SOLD**
Includes a PTO winch and Warn OD. It doesn’t run at the moment, but might not need much to get going again.
“Up for sale a very rare item a kaiser built 1964 CJ-6. This truck is longer than a CJ-5 and CJ-7 and only about 55000 of them were ever build. Jeep has a buick 225 V6 (3.7L) motor with 4 barrel carb and headers, freshly rebuild 3-speed transmission (T-90), Warn overdrive, and a 2 speed T-18 transfer case and a optima yellow top battery. It has dana 27 front axle with manual locking hubs and a dana 44 rear axle also with manual locking hubs and a locker. BFG A/T 31×10.5 tires on steel wheels and a 12Klb PTO winch made by tulsa and a removable tow bar. Cab has driver and passenger seats as well as a removable back seat, CB radio with whip antenna, and tool compartment under the seat. Full hard top with hard doors and electric wind shield whippers (instead of vacuum). When the jeep was parked it ran fine which was about two years ago it will start but could use a once through on the motor. This Jeep has taken me so many places and given me so much joy, unfortunately there is no time or money for those types of adventures. Truck does not have to be smogged (in CA) and is current on non-op.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $7500.
A right hand drive truck? Here’s a rare jeep spotted by Dan.
“1961 Willys Pickup right hand drive spring over two wheel drive 350 V 8 with automatic very little rust bed is excellent shape original patina and original interior”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $20,000
‘I have for sale a beautifully restored World War II original Army jeep. This is the real thing! Not a civilian version but an actual war production jeep! It is a GPW made by Ford on a contract during the war using the Willys design.
This jeep needs nothing but a driver. I’ve owned it for 6 years now and enjoyed ever minute of it. The ONLY reason I’m letting it go is because I need the money for another project that I’ve found.
This jeep has everything! It has a new canvas top hot summer days. It has a new canvas windshield cover for blackout operations, along with new canvas headlight and mirror covers for blackout operations. The blackout light do work. This jeep has all of the accessories: fire extinguisher, oil can, first aid kit, shovel, axe, gas can, water can, rifle rack, and tow rope. The tires are so new they even still have most of the rubber nipples on them!
I also have a 37mm anti tank cannon axle that I was going to build a replica of and tow behind the jeep for display. These are very hard to find because most of them were cut up after the war. This axle is complete from hub to hub and only had couple of brackets cut off of it during the demilitarizing process from the government. I also have 2 wiring harnesses to go with the axle that were used to clamp the tail lights onto the barrel of the cannon during transport.
If you buy the jeep I will add in the axle and wiring harnesses with clamps and tail lights at no additional charge. Other wise I will sell the axle for $700 alone with the harnesses.
I d have a free and clear title for it in NC.”
