This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This eight page Jeep News volume 10, number 3, begins with the news that 53 Wagoneers were in daily use around the 1964 World’s Fair in New York. The paper also reported the presentation of a WWII jeep to the Smithsonian Institution for display. Pages 2-5 also cover the World’s Fair.
Page six introduces the CJ-5 and CJ-6 Tuxedo Park Mark IV models. Page seven covers the World’s Fair, again. Page eight covers international news, including an Amsterdam show featuring a van-like custom body on an FC-170 chassis.
The four-page April 1961 issue of Jeep Service and Parts News begins with the usual “here’s how to make more money” story on the front page. Page two introduces a new Bendix radio for jeeps, refering to Parts and Accessories Bulletin No. D-57, while a story on page four under Money Maker shares the news about Willys Overland Air Springs, referencing Parts and Accessories Bulleting D-39. I am now wondering how I missed ever seeing references to “Parts & Accessories Bulletins”? I guess I wasn’t looking for them. I’ll look and see if I can locate some.
Yesterday I was looking for something when I stumbled upon a Jeep collection in Lindon, Utah,(a short distance north of Provo, Utah) called the Jeep Guy Museum. It’s the first I’ve heard of it. I guess I’ll be back down to Utah to visit the kids sooner than expected, lol! The Jeep Guy currently offers private tours (possibly requiring a donation?), but hopes to move to a new location where they can be open to the public.

“This is a Willys Jeep Sales & Service Lighted Clock. Measures approximately 11″x11 1/2″x2 3/4″. Clock is a standing countertop/desk display in plastic and works as it should. In line switch for light and quartz clock. Please note on the backside of the clock a few speckles of paint-likely slight overspray. Good collectible memorabilia.”

“This 1944 Willys MB is finished in drab green with white military-style accents over green canvas upholstery and is powered by a 134ci inline-four paired with a three-speed manual gearbox and a dual-range transfer case. Equipment includes 16″ body-color wheels, a folding windshield, a jerry can, manually locking front hubs, and a radio receiver and transmitter unit linked with a body-mounted antenna. The truck reportedly underwent a refurbishment under previous ownership, and the seller acquired it in 2021. This Willys MB is now offered with a clean California title in the seller’s name.”
Daryl has listed this CJ-5 with an unusual hardtop. I assume it is home made. A lot to like here.

“1971 CJ5 V6, t14 and 18 transfer case. Runs drives and stops great. The guages even work. Been sitting in a garage since 1981. Just short of 34k miles on it. Lots of new parts just installed to get it back on the road.”

“1947 Jeep willy has good paint great tires no rust under belly has a soft top to keep the wind out it’s a great piece of history and is an eye catcher one of the only cars that has 4×4 . CONS: does need some work it’s fires up and runs just the carburetor needs to be cleaned up and breaks need a new master cylinder which I have brand new in the box along with new wheel cylinder.”

“1963 Willys. 350/350 automatic. Solid vehicle. Not a show car. Clean black interior. Paint is not perfect, but looks good. New 33” Wild Peak tires on 15×10 Pro Comp rims. Drives great in 2WD. Issue with 4WD. Front hubs will lock, but transfer case will not engage. Price has been dropped for this reason. Will consider trade/partial trade offers for another classic. K5, Chevelle, Vw Bus, Bug or Type 3 or something cool. Clean Ca. title in my name.”
