“For sale is a 1956 Willys Station Wagon-with a Chevy 283 engine. I am the second owner of this gem, as I recently purchased the vehicle in Denver, and drove it out here to DC for the summer. There is currently a Chevy 283 engine in her, as it was replaced in the early 70s to provide more power for longer distances. She runs great, body has some defects, but overall, she is ready to drive anywhere, just in need of some simple body work, and a possible paint job depending on your intentions with the vehicle.
Asking $6,000 OBO. Send me an email, or text me at eight0eight-sevenTwo2-zero3one9, would love to answer any questions you may have, and meet to show you the vehicle.”

1954 CJ-3B Potomac, MD **Status Unknown**
UPDATE: Was $4500. **Status Unknown**
Runs and drives.
“This is an early flat fendered Willys Jeep. Primitive and reliable. The CJ-3B has a higher hood to allow clearance for the overhead valve F-134 motor (early CJ-2s and WW2-type Jeeps had flat head motors). This is the 2nd CJ-3B I have owned. It runs and drives fine. It has an overdrive unit, and while it is not too smart to drive an old Jeep fast, it will do 65 mph. About two years ago, we replaced the entire braking system – master cylinder, wheel cylinders, drums shows, brake lines and silicone brake fluid – and installed an electronic distributor for reliability. The windshield has a crack, so it will need a new one. This Jeep is not perfect, but starts for me every time, and is generally very solid for a 60 year old Jeep. I have an after market tailgate and a few other small parts. Tires old, but have tread and hold air. I have a file of receipts that indicate extensive mechanical rebuilds in the ’80s – and not many miles since then according to previous owner. I have owned the Jeep for about 7 years.”
1947 CJ-2A Lakeland, FL **SOLD**

1955 M-38A1 Santa Rosa, FL **SOLD**
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $7500
Looks in good shape.
“Great 1955 M38A1 – owned it for just over a year and in that time have significantly improved the drivability and reliability of it. It is still 100% original, down to it’s 24volt system. 4 wheel drive will climb you up a tree. Runs and drives well, and feels like a 58yr old Jeep! Would be an ideal beach buggy(didn’t get a permit this year, or it would be!).
Most recent work includes:
Head completely reworked, new coil, new plugs, valves adjusted, etc.
Cosmetically it’s in great shape – especially considering it’s age. No significant rust, some surface rust on the frame – no big deal. I decided to have it repainted from it’s original OD Green to a mil-spec Sand Beige (a 3 stage PPG color). I’d say it’s a level above an amateur job, but certainly a 10 footer. A fantastic color though, one that you don’t see enough for this era of Jeep: hence why I had it repainted. The seats were also redone to factory original. Bimini too included.”
1946 CJ-2A Stockton, CA $6500

1952 M-38 Bellbrook, OH **SOLD**
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $9500.
“1952 Willys Jeep. M38 body stretched 10 in. with an MB grill
This jeep was hand built using an International scout frame
shortened to a 97 inch wheel base. The Scout frame is a very sturdy boxed frame. The body is an M38 body (new steel after market 100% rust free) stretched 10 inches in the door ways to match the wheel base. We installed a carbureted Ford 302 ci. engine because it is light weight and quick to rev. We backed the engine with a heavy duty clutch and a smooth shifting T-5 transmission with a 300 transfer case. Dana 44 Axles with disk brakes front and rear, 427 gears in rear ends and Richmond spools front & rear. Also there are polished stainless steel covers on both rear ends. We installed custom made Twin sticks ( in & out of 4 wheel drive, and high & low gears ) for specialized off roading. There is High clearance leaf spring brackets for easier access over obstacles. Revolver shackles (front) to aid in articulation. Full role cage tied to frame, and heavy duty nerf bars to protect the body sides.
Corbeau racing seats with 5 point racing harness.
Ramsey 12,000 lb. winch (new never used)

Custom made bumpers front & rear
Aluminum gas tank with ¼ in. diamond plate skid plate
Bikini top and a new matching 2 A wind shield needs glass
Has blackout marker lights and the dash switch
The color is PT Cruiser Gold with hammered silver floors
This Jeep is easy to drive both on the high way and off road
It’s quiet a show piece and turns a lot of heads.”
1951 M-38 Plymouth, MN **SOLD**
UPDATE: WAs $2500. **SOLD**
It’s got some floor board holes and more issues.
“We used it up around our cabin for many years. We sold the cabin three years ago and brought the Jeep home and put it in our barn. We now realize that while it is very cool – we aren’t going to use it.
The bad:
– The driver and passenger floors have rust holes. They are from before we owned it. They have been primered and are not rotting. The Jeep has been garaged for the last 10+ years.
– The front passenger fender is bent.
– We tried to move it last year and while it did start and run great – we found the clutch plate rusted to the flywheel. We’re not sure what it will take to free it.
– It pops out of 2nd if you slow down without holding it in gear.
– I gave about 30 seconds of effort to start the jeep this year and had no luck. No fuel was getting to the electric fuel pump. Looks like the rubber lines might be cracked and the pump is sucking air or could be something else. We’re hoping to find someone who likes to tinker with that stuff to sell it to.
– The steering is not tight
The good:
– It did drive into the barn where it is parked and we were driving it on the road at the time
– It is in good shape overall – far from a basket case
– It has warn winch
– It has a cargo rack on back
– All of the original army plaques and tags are present
– It shouldn’t take too much work to get it back on the road
– It is a ton of fun, gets attention everywhere it goes and until we stopped using it, was very reliable.”
1948 CJ-2A Lyons, OR $800
No pics provided.
“1948 CJ2A Jeep Willys. It does not have a transmission but everything else appears to be there. Has a motor but have never heard it run. I do not want to go through the hassle of parting it out so ill let somebody take it out of here for $800. I know it is worth more than that in parts so the right guy can make some serious cash off it. The body seems to be pretty free of rust considering its age. No title and will need to be towed or trailered out of here. It rolls and steers just fine. Call or Text any time. Please no dumb offers. $800.”
