Dan spotted this Jeepster.
“This classic historical convertable is a 1949 Jeepster. First Jeep for the public after WW2. It is beautiful. The engine is the flat head 4 with 63 HP. Long stroke gives it good power. Three speed and overdrive. Very nice condition. Look at the pics of this great Jeepster. The price is the price from haggardys list on the internet. Way below the value I need the room for a remodel of the house. PRICE LOWERED. RUNS PERFECT. MY LOSS YOUR GAIN.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2300.
Looks like a good price for the combo.

“Very clean 1946 Willys CJ2A. All original except an important upgrade to a dual reservoir master cylinder (for safety purposes). Excellent working condition, I have done all the work on it over the past 3 years… fairly extensive restoration and has been painted in its original colors; Pasture Green with Autumn Yellow wheels. Paint is not perfect 8/10. Body is rot free thought there are certain areas where rust was once a problem. No shakes or wobbles at speeds in excess of 60+ MPH. Flathead 4 cylinder is reliable, leak free and powerful. I use it the way it was intended to be used when it was built in 1946, it’s a work vehicle but it is maintained properly. No mechanical issues: holds good oil pressure, no overheating, 4wd works, etc.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $18,000.
This was featured in a Jeep magazine of some type.
“1948 Willys Jeepster Overland in Ferrari Red. 161-CUBIC-INCH 6-CYLINDER ENGINE. Featured in Jeep owners magazine 2006 volume 4 issue 1 “My Vintage JEEP vehicle” with the still current owner that I am helping sell the JEEPSTER for.
Here is a link to over 80 pics;

Restoration was done prior to 2006. All the chrome was done and shows nicely. At that time all was pretty well sorted out there were a few minor details that were not completed in the restoration which I was going to complete for the owner but due to personal circumstances I had to close up shop and was unable to complete these minor details. For the last couple years or so the Jeepster has be in storage. I have manuals and some odds and ends parts a spare tire cover that matches interior in red and white. Engine runs very nice. I last drove it around town about a year ago and it drove well, straight and brakes were good. Well I pulled it out of storage and took the Jeepster for a drive. As any older car thats not been used for a wile I started loosing brake pedal so the seals/cylinders well need to be checked. Check ALL the pictures they tell the story. Pretty much rust free undercarrige and pans. The only place I saw of concern is at where the back bumper area meets the body there is some small surface bubbles. see pics.
Here is what is needed or negatives
Brakes need sorting
Fuel gauge in-op
Shift linkage is a little lose, adjustment.?
Horn in-op
Convert top latches need attention”

“I have a Complete Dana 18 1 1/4″ intermediate shaft with twin sticks.
Disassembled for inspection.
New intermediate shaft with bearings.
New complete seal and gasket kit for it.
Needs assembled, I just haven’t had the time to do it, but I will if someone needs me too.
Also, a Warn / Saturn overdrive unit for the 1 1/4″ shaft Dana 18 transfercase.
Excellent condition. It was in my Jeep and I pulled it off to change the transfercase and noticed the needle bearings in the planatery were showing some wear so I put another overdrive I had back in the Jeep. I have the new bearings for the overdrive.
I have the complete shifter setup for a T90 as well. Could be modified to fit other transmissions if you dont have a T90.
This complete package was a spare for my Jeep, but I sold my jeep a year ago and just clearing out the extra parts I had for it.
Dana 18 twin stick and Warn Overdrive $800 like they sit with the new parts in the bags
or I will rebuild the transfercase and the overdrive with the parts I have for an extra 200 bucks”

“Hi I have a 1946 willys cj2a. It’s a minor project that I
don’t have any money to put into.
I have two engines for it. The original L134 flathead and a v6 ford fuel injected. It has a t89 tranny in it. 3speed on the floor with high low 2 and 4 wheel drive transfer. It has drivers and passenger seats along with a back bench seat over a tool box. It has a roll bar. Newer windshield.
All it needs is an engine dropped into it and steering.
It’s a solid project that just needs someone to give it some love and spend some money on it.
I’m open to trades being newer trucks, fun sports cars or classic 4x4s. Toss me an offer or trade but please be reasonable. This is a great truck for almost 70. Interested in straight axle toyotas and other 4×4 rigs. Toss me an offer”

“1954 Willys Jeep CJ-3B – Complete ground up restoration in 1996. Engine rebuilt at that time, including hardened valve seats for unleaded fuel. Still has the original oil bath air cleaner. Upgraded to 11″ drums all around. Has 2-1/2″ springs on it with 31X 10.5 tires 75+% tread. Full size spare. All stock running gear, 5-38 gearing with lock-right locker in the rear. Has custom fully welded Bumpers front and rear both with 2″ receivers. Rear bumper includes spare tire mount. Also added power steering. Locker, bumpers and power steering work was done around 1998. Jeep was used regularly (every – other weekend or so) from 1996 through 2000. Since 2000 it has been started and driven very little. I replaced the fuel tank and installed a new optima red top battery within the last year. It does need a good tune-up, but everything is working. This is a very clean rust free jeep. We are coming up on 20 years that this Jeep has been in our family and it has always been garaged. “
