“World War II 1942 Ford Willys — Gun rack with shovel and ax, 12 volt system, new rear suspension and front shocks, all new gauges, shifter boots, emergency brake system, all fluids recently changed. Runs very well and ready for war, roads or trail.”
Seems mostly original, but not all original.
“All original jeep Willys very low mileage tires rims roll bar are the only things not original. No rust. Looking for cash or trades campers rv’s legal guns motorcycles quads carts cars trucks ect….”
It’s got a few issues, but runs and drives.
“I have for sale a 1982 AMG Jeep DJ 5. It is right hand drive and has large, sliding doors — making it perfect for use as an icecream truck or something like that. It is also just a cool car in general. Definitely unique, definitely turns heads on the street (and that was before the paint job!). It runs well and is really fun to drive. However, it does have a couple issues too: the electronics are funky. The lights and gauges work off-and-on. I also only have the keys for ignition and driver-side door. The engine was rebuilt a few years ago and is still in very good shape.
I will also be including with the car a set of four studded tires (good condition) and (if you want it) a collection of misc parts and equipment for the car.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1000.
No key, but it might run.

(03/18/2014) It looks solid.
“I have a 47 Jeep Willys I’d like to sell. Been slowly working on it and have my eyes on a new project. I’ve gone through a lot on this. Needs a head gasket to be able to drive. I’ve replaced the entire fuel system and gone through the rear brakes, ignition, and now it needs a new home. It’s fun to drive and would be a perfect project for someone wanting a parade Jeep.
It has a tow bar and can be towed.
I’m firm on the price.
I don’t need help selling.
This is a private party, person to person, sale only.
No scams.”

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $600.
It’s a project.
“This is a serious project, the tub is very rough and so are the fenders. the hood is ok, grill is ok, and windshield frame is good with good glass and no cracks. the motor is the buick 225 transmission is the factory T90 (i believe) and a dana 18 transfer case. The axles are both stock and in good condition. I have a lot of parts for it such as drive lines, long tube headers, and some other random parts.
I have the title for it
This would make a good drivetrain donner our if you have a jeep with out a tittle buy mine and scrap this and get most of your money back from scrap. I just want to get rid of it it have been hanging around for about 10 years and needs to go.”
This is an unusual ad for National Dairy Products that tells the story of a jeep that was lashed to a submarine deck (engine and Motor inside the sub) and carried all over. Eventually, it was traded for to a crew on a destroyer for ice cream. True story? The answer is it is possible (see update on Monday).
This ad appeared in the June 26, 1944 issue of Life Magazine on page 52.
This is a rare mod that you don’t see often. The rear wheel wheel has been covered.
“I will not ship to Italy. Original photo pulled out of photo album. 4.25 x 2.5 inches. There is some glare from my flash. Great picture with lots of detail .U.S. Army jeep with covered rear wheels, taken in Italy.. The photos were taken by an American soldier in the 6th corps.”
