1962 CJ-6 Acworth, GA **SOLD**

UPDATE :**SOLD** Was $12,000.

Looks original.

“All original cj6. Was running and driving great. I need to replace the ignition switch. Rare and very solid unmolested jeep with pto winch. I have title in hand. Firm on price! I see a lot of junkie jeeps out there being sold for high prices right now. I constantly look all over the country at Jeeps and this is well worth what I’m asking for it. I will not take a penny less, so please don’t waste my time with any offers that are less than my asking price!!!!”

“Selling my 1957 Willys “Jeep” FC-150 4×4 with a canvas top. It has been sitting on my grandfathers farm for the last 15 years. Now with my grandfathers farm getting sold, I figured I get this gem back home to find someone who can enjoy it and bring it back to its glory. It is a project truck, it does have the stock hurricane F-head (F-134) engine with a 3-speed manual transmission. With a new battery and gas I was able to get it running. The right rear wheel hub was seized due to the brakes being locked up, new hub has been installed. Does have a blowing heater/defroster. I do not have the seats, there is some rust but overall the body and bed is intact. The title has been lost but a quick trip to the DMV we can get the title transferred to you. Hate to get rid of the little truck but I just don’t have the time to start another project.”

“1969 cj5 all there very minor rust body is not perfect but killer patina and all there it’s got the dauntless v6, turns over freely by hand would probably run, 3 speed, dana 18 single stick offset 44 rear and closed knuckle 30 front. Comes with a very rough m38 for parts that has no motor in it. Both rigs are bill of sale only i bought the lot 3 from idaho and am building one up so id like to pass these two on to someone who wants a project as i have zero time right now. The red one is 95% complete and loaded with tons of spare factory parts. They are rough but have potential to make one decent jeep. Located in bellingham washington. Will include 1 complete pair of m38 axles, and a complete open knuckle cj5 dana 30 as well”

I expect the “Hercules” comment is supposed to read Hurricane. This includes a rear PTO setup with  pto shield. Unclear if it runs.

May 1951 Wagon Comparison Brochure

This 34-page May 1951 Form No. SWC1-10M-551 wagon comparison brochure is one I’d never seen before it hit eBay. The size is about 5.5″ by 11″.  It’s not in the best of shape, but it’s there and readable. The front page has a rectangle cut out so that the table of contents on page three shows through cover.

I wonder if an equivalent brochure was made for the truck? I doubt anything was made for the universal jeep, as there wasn’t much to compare to it by 1951.

October 1954 Willys Welcomes Warn Hubs

• CATEGORIES: Advertising & Brochures, Features • TAGS: This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

I wasn’t aware that Kaiser Willys put out a series of Commercial and Jeep Sales Bulletins, but I now have examples of at least four of these that I will publish over the next week or so. It’s unclear how many were published or how long this lasted.

This particular example, dated October 08, 1954, welcomed Warn Locking and Automatic hubs to the Willys Special Equipment Line. To the best of my knowledge, it was the first time Willys included hubs in its Special Equipment line. As of 1954, Warn was likely the largest producers of hubs. Free-Lock quickly became the second largest producer of hubs, but that wouldn’t be until 1956 (See Free-Lock Hubs history for more info). To the best of my knowledge, Free-Lock was never added to the Willys Special Equipment Line.
