“1975 Jeep CJ-6: 6 Cylinder, 4WD and Granny Drive, Metal Top, Metal Doors and Half Doors,
Roll Bar, Free Standing Top Lifts, Plow, Tire Chains, New Battery”
This is a flattie body on a CJ-5 frame.
“This is a 1953 JP 3J (CJ3A) body on a 1972 CJ-5 chassis and running gear.
It has a Buick V-6 (odd fire) I believe it’s a 225 ci. Mid 60’s engine.
The body is straight and the pan has been replaced.
This is a solid Little Willy’s that runs and drives great.
Rear axel bearings need to be replaced. I have a complete set of Seals and bearing that go with the sale.
It also comes with a Road-master Explorer folding tow bar.
10/32-16LT Super Swampers on steel wheels. Lots of tread left, 80-90% roughly.

Nothing like a wench-equipped jeep.
“Nice old army jeep with wench, top, new seat covers, and rebuilt engine. Has been sitting for a few years but only has a few hundred miles on rebuilt engine. Great for hunters or farm use. Pictures show a spraying system on front which has since been removed. Has been stored in a barn out of the weather.”
Has a variety of updates.
“Chevy V-8 motor
turbo 400 transmission
Dana 20 transfer case
CJ 5 axles “

There can’t be too many CJ-6 fiberglass bodies out there.
“Dauntless V-6 engine\T86 three speed trans\DANA18 transfer case\Dana 27 front diff| DANA 44 rear diff. Lift springs included. Fiberglass tub and fenders. Steel hood and grille. PO started to restore and gave up. Frame is excellent, as is the windshield frame. Engine\trans\case all installed. Has a roll bar and a lot of misc parts. Needs fuel tank, blinker handle and I’m sure some other misc parts. Has Florida Title. Has never seen snow. No tires or rims. I can load on your trailer for you, or I can deliver but we would have to talk about that. No trades”
No title project here.
“I recently had some vehicles from Arizona hauled back to the east coast and this little Willys Jeep is one of them. Its about 90-95% free of rust. The engine turns free and all pieces are here, I was told it was last started about a year ago. This is a great start for someone interested in one of these Jeeps. The original paint was black and you can literally wipe off the light blue and red paint underneath it down to the original black paint with a rag soaked in mineral spirits. Email me with questions.. first 3000 or best offer CASH takes it. I don’t have a title and this is reflected in my price, its not hard to get one for these vehicles as many of them didn’t have titles etc. Your local DMV can help you.. I have the paperwork and procedure for NY state as I went to the DMV here and they explained what I needed to do.”
UPDATE: Was $3500 **SOLD**
Runs, but needs work to drive.
“1946 Willys Jeep, CJ2A, all original except for 6 cyl. flathead motor. New tires, 2 spare wheels, canvas top, back-seat, jerrycan, repair manuals. Running, needs brake fluid leak repaired & wiring done correctly to be driveable”
Listed as a 1941 MB, this seems to be a mix of parts. I don’t see any rear hubs. The body’s been ‘fixed’. No motor.
“1941 Willys Jeep. Very early production “Willys” stamped MB. Probably not suited for restoration, but would make neat driver and four-wheeler. Had small block Chevy V-8, (now missing), and still has mounts, transmission adapter, radiator, dual exhaust, bellhousing, and more, all mounted in place. Would accept Chev V-6 as well. Also has T-90 transmission, 11 inch brakes, late model steering, and 12 volt electrics. Drivers windshield cracked. This is a non-running project perfect for someone who can get hold of a small block Chevy engine. $1950.”
Need cleaning, but may be a good price.
“I have a set of Dualmatic locking hubs off early Willys Jeep. They fit 10 spline axle shafts. $50 each.”
UPDATE II: **SOLD**
“I have 3 Ford GPW tubs or bodies from World War 2. Plan on being at the Military show and swap meet in Effingham on Aug. 22-23. ANY interest in any of these bodies, I will bring them, otherwise they will stay home in WATSEKA. ILLINOIS, 60970. Take choice for $300 each and one is only $200. Two of them are script tubs. Let me know. Thanks”
UPDATE (06/19/2014) : Justin notes this seller has all kinds of MB & GPW parts. “I bought a GPW grill yesterday from this guy named Sam. He has any MB, GPW or civilian part you would need and he has multiples of each. From rolling frames, any F script marked parts, engines, trannys, anything you are looking for he has for sale. He is not “giving away” anything, but is very reasonably priced. He has quite a stockpile of great parts!”
Original Post (06/12/2014): Lots of stuff here. The jeep looks like it could use some work.
“I plan on attending the Military Swap Meet in late August there in Effingham. Will be bringing fenders, grills, axles, small parts, etc. Is there any interest in these large hard to load items?? Tubs, frames, axles, etc. ??? ALL WW2 Military Jeep original parts.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1200.
(03/16/2014) I think this is the sixth different wagon-into-trailer that I’ve listed (see here for the others). Kent Frost‘s has been the nicest I’ve seen.
“Willy’s wagon made into pull behind camper in the 1960’s. Has the hard to find ambulance or ‘barn doors’ in back. I used to pull it behind my Willys to swap meets. Have the parts to make this complete for street rod / rat rod / rock climber / etc. $1200. as is.”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $28,000.
(06/16/2014) Lots of polish on this M-170.
“1955 Willys Frontline Ambulance Jeep
-Only 300 left in existence in any condition
-Vehicle is located 1 hr north of NYC”
Doug picked up this CJ-6 recently. As you can see, this is an example of a jeep that was nicer than the pics taken by the seller. It’s a really good looking jeep, especially with those hurricane rims 🙂
These are the new pics. Doug was able to get some good cloudy-day photos that helped show just how nice the paint is.
New Photos:
Old photos: Between the shadows and the lack of closeups, it’s hard to tell just how nice the paint really is.
Starting in 1942 Dell Publishing issued an annual christmas comic book titled “Santa Claus Funnies”. The very first issue featured Santa driving a jeep. The series ran until 1962. Here’s a link to check on the most recent Santa Claus Funnies available on eBay.
You can learn more about Santa Claus Funnies from the Golden Age of Comics website.
In a comment from the post about the FC-150 review by Tom McCahill, Mike remembered seeing McCahill’s review about the Jeep Wagoneer. It didn’t take me long to find a cheap copy of the May 1966 issue (pg 87) that featured the surprisingly enthusiastic review of the Jeep.
Looking for something else, I ran across this christmas card.
Marc forwarded this ebay photo. I never look at one of these photos and think, ‘Yeah, that’s a good idea’.
This Farm Jeep brochure is available on eBay.
“1946/1947 Willys-Overland sales brochure ‘For the Farm’. Size is 8.5 x 11 opening to 34 x 11. Moderate wear/aging.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $10,000.
Updated, nice looking Jeepster.
“Classic 1949 Willys Jeepster. Fun to drive. 350 chevy small block with auto transmission. New seat covers, top almost new. May consider trade for small low mileage pickup, small center console boat with 4 stroke motor.”
Looks good from the side.
