The Shed’s Willys Wagon BBQ
This one-of-a-kind smoker and BBQ was built from a 1954 Willys Wagon. It was created as a portable bbq kitchen for a restaurant in Mississippi called the The Shed (actually, two restaurants now) founded by the Orrison family. They chose to use a Willys because, “it’s like the oft repeated mantra of cooking great barbecue: You have to drive it ‘low and slow.'”
Medium.com has a long story about The Shed and their experience at a BBQ competition.
Here are a few photos from medium.com and from USA Today:
Midwest Willys Summer Reunion Aug 22-24, 2014
Next Weekend is the Midwest Willys Summer Reunion in Effingham, Illinois. If you are interested in any eWillys books or t-shirts, Bob Christy will have some for sale at his booth.
“Saturday’s guest speaker will be Mike Picard. Mike is the designer and builder of the amazing Electro-Willys; an all electric powered M38. He is also the host for the Colorado Fall Colors Tour which is an annual event where Willys jeepers from around the country meet for a week of trail riding in the Rocky Mountains. Mike is an active member of the MVPA who helped in the planning of the 2012 ALCAN convoy. The Willys Nelson Band will be there to sing tribute songs to our favorite Willys classics!”

Rare Willys Industrial Engine Parts List **SOLD**
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
Here’s a rare parts list booklet from Willys Motors. The POWER GIANT branding is new to me.
“Auction is for old heavy equipment parts catalog brochure. 63 pages. Cover has wear and soiling. Has some water marks on bottom edge of cover and first 5 pages from moisture. All other pages are good with no tears and very light soiling.”
June 1946 Country Gentleman Ad
UPDATE: **SOLD** was on eBay.
If you can get your hands on a June 1946 issue Country Gentleman Magazine, you will find this ad. Or, you can just snag this one on eBay. Seller believes this is in fair to good condition, but given the stains it seems poor to me.

“Will sell all of my Jeeps for the low price of $10,000 (Firm) which takes into consideration that there are issues, minor to major with all 3. Do Not let this scare you off. This is a screaming Deal for what I have and definitely warrants the expenditure of some time to come and look if you are a serious Jeep buyer! 1. 1947 CJ2 2. 1951 Jeep pickup 3. 1948 Willys Overland Parcel Delivery (PD) Quite Rare! First two run and the PD was driven from San Francisco to Paynes Creek 18 years ago and has not been started since. It has the 4 cylinder flathead engine and the other two are F Heads. 1947 CJ-2A Winchester, TN $4700
Looks solid and stock. Has small amount of hat channel rust.
“For sale is by far the nicest most solid original Willys I’ve ever owned. This would be an excellent candidate for a restoration project because sheet metal work would be minimal. I included a pic of the worst rust in the Jeep in the hat channel under the fuel tank. It starts, runs, drives and stops great. It still has the original 6 volt charging system. The steering is still tight. The brakes work great and the fuel tank is brand new. I would call it 95% original and had to be stored inside most of its life. I tried to leave the body alone so you can see what you are getting. Clean TN title in my name. $4700 Serious calls only please no texts.”

1952 M-38A1 Willow Glen, CA **SOLD**
UPDATE: Was $6500. *SOLD*
It’s had some recent work.
“For sale is a 1952 former USMC Willys M38A1 Jeep. This Jeep was, until last year, used at a deer hunting ranch behind Mt. Hamilton for the last 40 years. It was painted in orange until last fall when I put it back in olive drab. It has the correct Hurricane 4 cylinder engine and runs fine. I tuned it up and replaced the exhaust manifold. The seats are new, as is the glass, tires, rims, turn signals, tail lights and bikini top. The body isn’t perfect, but what do you want for a 62 year old veteran?! All gauges, except the speedometer work. She ain’t fast but is a hoot driving around town with the windshield down. Perfect for a weekend ride or ranch property. $6500″
