Body is there but needs major work (the tub is a frankenstein of two jeeps). Extra parts come with the jeep include extra engine block, generator, springs (I think to a cj5), new gas tank, and new brake lines. Needs someone to finish the restoration. Bill of sale only. Will part the wheels if desired. I’m looking to move this so feel free to send any offers.”

“Willys Jeep for PARTS VEHICLE ONLY. No title. Has motor and transmission. Model 1949 CJ3A . Do not know history of jeep or last time it ran. Floorboards rusted out, but frame appears to be solid. Again, this jeep has no title and could only be used for extra parts to rebuild another jeep.”

At #36000, this is just early enough to have a column shift.
“1946 Jeep CJ2A Willy’s Overland universal, rare column shift. The CJ2A was the first civilian jeeps (CJ) ever sold and the column shift was only produced for a short time. This jeep has been partially restored, runs great, canvas top, stock condition. Needs paint. Check NADA Guides.com. More pictures upon request. $7500 firm.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $8000.
It’s a solid GPW, but isn’t entirely stock. The jeep includes an air suspension.
“Posting my 1942 ford GPW in excellent condition. Military predecessor to the Willys jeep cj2a Purchased several years ago from a body shop owner in Maine who restored it. It is in excellent condition. Some improvements are the 12v conversion, and air suspension set up. You can ad air to raise/ lower the ride height. Also makes for a very comfortable ride. The paint (dark green) makes it look like civilian, and the floor has been replaced with diamond plate steel along time ago. Would not take much to get it back to military condition. It starts and drives fine. 4wd hi/lo work as they should. I have only driven it in parades and occasionally around the neighborhood since I have owned it. The jeep is in good as condition (although civilian style) as it could be with a perfect paint job and no rust at all. It is garaged and covered 100% of the time. My intention was to return to military style, but i have too many toys to give this one the attention it deserves. I never registered it this year, but I will soon and get a sticker so you know it will pass.”

It’s a solid looking M-38 with very little rust. I know the seller just washed this just before taking these photos. I don’t understand letting water sit in the jockey box underneath the seat and a few other rust prone places shown in the photos?
“1951 M38 Army Jeep – Original Condition – Runs and Drives – RUST FREE!
Has Current Title
This has to be the best M38 I have ever owned. Body is rust free and very straight. I have done a few things to this M38 to get it back on the road but without messing with its original condition. The following have been done for drivability and safety. 1. New brake shoes and wheel cylinders. 2. New rubber and S-shaped metal brake lines. 4. NOS master cylinder 5. New fuel sending unit (correct M38 one). 6. Complete wash of vehicle to remove about 1/2” of dust and other stuff that had accumulated on the M38 over the years of being in storage.
It runs and drives.
