“1977 mail jeep. Rebuilt transmission, plenty of new parts.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $700
Listed as a 1954, it may be a CJ-2A based on the windshield.
“1954 Jeep Willy’s with plow. Power angle plow (6′). Jeep frame need work, no brakes, lights, etc. I have someone interested in jeep without plow, willing to sell plow separately. Asking $500.00 for plow alone. Jeep and plow was used to plow private drive for last 18 years.”
It’s a parts jeep that may have potential.
“I have for sale a CJ2A. Bill of sale only. This has the original drivetrain but does not run. Motor is stuck. Trans and tcase shift. I do have another motor that is unstuck that I could add in for the right deal. The body is in good shape for the year. It is not perfect but is solid compared to most that you find. Frame is solid as well. The frame does roll well.”

“1950 Jeep CJ-3A Flat Fender
includes top
L134 4-cylinder
The Jeep was restored 18 years ago. It runs and drives good (for a 1950 CJ-3A). Good to go as is, or could be restored again if so desired.”
The June/July 1956 issue of Willys News shared a photo of this mini jeep from Dana Motors in North Sacramento, California.
UPDATE: This post originally featured the press photo at the bottom. Adding to the information, I discovered an article from the May 1956 issue of Willys News discussing how the buffalo were more patiently herded by jeeps than by horses.
========================================
According to this 1951 press release, this jeep was used to round up twelve buffalo. They were shipped to Chicago for an international livestock exhibition. The watermark kind of obscures the jeep.
“You are bidding on an original press photo of Jeep Beside Buffalo in Custer State Park South Dakota. Photo has newspaper marks & waving right edge Photo measures 7 x 9 inches and is dated 11/27/1951.”
Several readers forwarded this story. Rugged Ridge brought a collection of jeeps to this year’s SEMA show. You can see them here. http://www.caranddriver.com/flipbook/fcs-jeepsters-cjs-and-more-the-awesome-classic-jeeps-of-sema#1
Looks like a CJ-5 is underneath the train-looking body. The photo is from Manhattan, Kansas. The train is a Deibler Trackless Train.
Here’s an interesting pedal jeep. I haven’t seen a flat bed like this one.

The front frame rails have surface rust, but look good, as does the bumper.
“This is a 1948 CJ2A PROJECT that needs complete restoration. It had been spoken for this Summer however the buyer had a family tragedy that forced him to pass on the project.
$595 as is or $1195 with original PTO setup included.”

MIght be some value here.
“This is what I believe to be a 1958 Forward Control Jeep 150 4×4. I am not sure of the exact year. These are super rare antique forward control jeeps. This vehicle is complete, but in poor condition. The engine (hurricane 4 cylinder) turns over and the transmission shifts through the gears. I have not tried to start it. I am selling this vehicle for parts or restoration. The pictures describe it better than my words can.
I am asking $899 or best offer. If you are interested, please email me and we can setup an appointment to view it. The jeep is located in Glens Falls and we can help to transport for a nominal fee.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3400
Runs and drives.
“We purchased this 1947 Willys Jeep within the last year and we used it as our “fire chief” advertising vehicle for the summer. Our business is renting fire engines for promotions, advertising, and special events. We usually trailer the vehicle although we have been running errands with it. It has been a great head turner for our needs but we’re getting another fire chief car so we want to sell it.
The odometer reads 06723 miles and we were told it is actual but I that find that difficult to believe so I wouldn’t count it as accurate. It does has the flathead 4 cylinder motor.
The hardtop IS removable. No soft top.
Tip out windshield. $800 worth of NEW TIRES.
The rotary beacon emergency light is not included and is not actually attached to the hard top.
We’ve just rebuilt the original carburetor and replaced the points. We checked compression and one of the cylinders is working at about 40%. Either an adjustment of the valves or that valve needs work. We do not plan to do any further service and continue to drive it for errands at this time.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2800.
Here’s a good looking DJ for sale.
“1975 DJ5 Jeep, in good running condition. It was painted an army green 2-3 years ago, mechanically very well maintained. Has stock engine straight 6 and automatic 3 speed trans.”

“Fantastic 1955 Jeep – Runs Smooth and Drives.
This is a fantastic Jeep. Engine is the original and preferred 226-L6 Super Hurricane flat 6 and was just gone through by an experienced classic car guy. Partial restoration is done. Body is fantastic and rust free. Starts easy, runs great and fun to drive. This is a vintage 1955 Jeep Wagon, America’s first 4×4 SUV. It will climb 57 degree grades (although I have not tried) and brings smiles everywhere it goes. Ready for the new owner to recover the seats and side panels in desired color. Work done in 2013/2014 includes: New fuel pump and lines, New fuel tank, Professionally overhauled Carb, New water pump and hoses, conversion from 6v to 12v with new Willys alternator and battery, and much more.
