1942 GPW Ft. Myers, Fl $24,000
Mark just listed this over at war jeeps.com
“1942 WW2 Jeep. It is Model GPW built by Ford and identical in every way to the Willys Model MB. Both Ford and Willys shared the WW2 production of 500,000 Jeeps almost equally. Ford had a policy of identifying virtually all of their parts including Bolts with the Ford script \”F\”. Because of this, a complete and original GPW will usually sell for a higher price than the comparable Willys. My GPW is serial number 10,100. Simply stated this is a very early WW2 Jeep and the 10,100th Jeep produced of a total Ford production of approximately 250,000 Jeeps. It was completed on March 25, 1942. The date is engraved on the original Ford data plate on the Glove box door. The body, floors and all metal are in excellent condition. There is no rust. The Jeep has been garaged since I\’ve owned it. Have Top/bows. The engine is original and is engraved GPW 10,100 on the block. The Frame is also engraved GPW 10,100. The Jeep cranks and starts like it should. It is a good driver as well. The Jeep has a gun mount for a 30 cal Browning MG. I have the Browning MG which is made from a Browning parts kit. It is correct in appearance, size and weight. The guts of the MG have been modified so the MG will not fire. The MG is not a Live gun. It is for display and is being sold separately for $1500″

1949 Wagon Kokomo, IN Make Offer
Seller would like an offer and/or trade for Willys truck. The wagon is disassembled.
“I have a 49 Willys Wagon I am wanting to get rid of. I was going to go street rod with it, but have decided to build a Willys Truck instead. This is an extremely clean Wagon. I have the history and it went through a restoration in the 70’s. The only body work I was planning on doing was replacing the floor pans in the front. They had been replaced but not correctly. There are no dents to repair and no rust on the body. The glass has been sourced for original glass and is not replacement. Some trim pieces have also been sourced. It has the flat head four engine, planar front suspension, three on the tree, and the factory OD which is cable activated.
I have the wagon almost completely disassembled now, but bagged and tagged everything that I took off and stored in a tote. I was getting it ready for media blasting. The only thing left on the body to come off is the drivers door, some of the dash and the steering column. This is almost a paint and reassemble resto or paint and build up street rod. I don’t have the greatest pics of it right now, but these are right before I disassembled and as I was disassembling. Make me an offer, but don’t low ball me. Remember, a am looking for a Willys truck and know what people are asking for Willys that are rusted buckets and have been sitting outside for 30 years.”

David Darrah’s Jeeps
In the ‘it’s a small world’ category, David Darrah grew up barely a mile from where I did in Renton. His father Ray was a charter member of the Seattle Rump Bumpers Jeep Club, so he’s had jeeping in his blood from birth. Where David lived was just a street over from George Steele. George has been involved with jeeps a long time (and still is — I talked with him this summer) and my parents knew him pretty well. As a teen, David knew George well also, occasionally begging him for discounted parts for his first jeep, a 1942 MB.
A few years ago David had a chance to buy a green CJ-3A that George had rebuilt back in 1996 (though George no longer owned it). Despite owning several different flat fenders over the years (see end of post), just owning one jeep wasn’t enough, so David recently bought a second one Willys, a 1962 CJ-3B that needed a little bit of work. David feels like he’s well on his way to owning a ‘collection’ of jeeps. He just needs some more room (don’t we all!). David lives in Puyallup now, so I’ll be getting down there at some point to talk jeeps and see these in person. Thanks for sharing David!
1952 CJ-3A with some modern touches added by George Steele:
153 cu. in. Iron Duke 4 cyl, T14 3-spd, Dana 18 T.C, manual saginaw steering, Cherokee 11 inch drum brakes, Warn Hubs and Overdrive. Stock Dana 25/41 538 ratio. 3A needs nothing other than replace a few warn parts in Overdrive unit (growls a tad—still works good) Owned this Jeep almost 3 Years now.

Looks fun.
“I have too many toys so i must sell a couple…I have a 1961 Jeep Willys 2 door wagon converted to a sedan delivery. Has the rat rod style look to it, with a newer patina paint job, semi gloss clear, and hand pinstriped all over. Fronts been subframed with camaro, back has been subframed with half ton chevy truck. Older rebuilt camaro 350 and 350 turbo. Very dependable and road worthy. Has disk brakes up front and are power, power steering. Tilt column, New gauges. Interior has been done, high back buckets out of king cab truck with stitched pinstripe on back of headrests. Has won a trophy at every car show ive attended with it. But its time to give it a new home and let someone else have as much fun with it as ive had. It attracts attention everywhere it goes…be prepared to spend time with on lookers! No low ballers please, this thing is rare and awesome.”
