Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. I lucked into finding this original Seattle Belly Paneers Jeep Club Patch! Can’t be many of these left. It is 7″tall x 5″ wide.
This unusual ad features a jeep in part of it. What looks like a “what’s in a name” ad, is really an ad for the Ethyl Corporation.

Mike spotted this estate-sale Jeepster Convertible. This looks like a great one for the price. If I weren’t buying a different jeep at the end of Feb (yep, we head out on Feb 27th), I’d consider this one as I’ve though a Jeepster Convertible would be a neat vehicle for around these parts.

“All original hurricane four-cylinder, four-wheel-drive, four seater. I am the third owner and just had everything gone through and replaced that needed to be done. The only thing wrong with it is cracked windshield and leaks oil. Engine does not smoke. Everything works as should, drives great awesome little piece of history. ”
This has a variety of updates, though someone removed the front of the roll cage, but left the plates. It has a Warn overdrive.

I wasn’t planning on doing a racer update today, but both Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist were having issues last night loading pages. So, since, I took pics with the body yesterday, I figured I’d throw these up here. The cage is almost done, then on to floors and seats. OR, maybe shock mounts and rear sway bar.

The February 1959 of Man’s Magazine contained photos and short report from the annual Jeep Rodeo in Yakima, Washington. Unfortunately, most of the pics aren’t a whole lot different from the March 1959 issue of Modern Man Magazine, featured in 2013.
Man’s magazine turned out to be a lot less risqué than the cover image and headlines might suggest. There was even an opinion article expressing concern over how American college football was fast becoming too professionalized.

The blue one is a parts jeep.

“This is an Army 1952 Jeep Willys. 24 Volt (2 batteries). I did originally drive it but it now has a head gasket problem beyond my ability to repair. I’m a 26 year vet who was hoping to drive this jeep and enjoy past memories. It needs a mechanics touch. I will add more information and pictures shortly as it also comes with a army trailer, doors and top, roll bar, a metal rack that slides into the trailer hitch, chains, and a variety of other accessories i.e. (heater) etc. Serious buyers only please/cash sale (I have the title). “This 1947 Willys-Overland pickup painted in Arctic Grey is one of approximately 2,500 manufactured in 1947. The truck is powered by a L6-226 Super Hurricane engine that runs beautifully. The electrical system has been upgraded to 12V by a previous owner. A refurbishment by the current owner started in January 2021 after being purchased in Arizona and was completed in November 2022. The work included rust proofing underbody and frame, applying bedliner finish, new fuel tank, sending unit and line, fuel pump, aluminum radiator, thermostat, engine and heater hoses, water pump, belt, points, plugs, wires, carburetor rebuild, paint, professional tune-up and oil/filter change. Equipment includes a custom rear bumper/hitch, a heater/defroster, 5-gallon side-mounted gas can and a side-mounted spare. This pickup is offered with a service manual, receipts for work performed and parts, vintage AZ license plate, car cover and a clean Washington title.”
