“I’m selling my dad’s 53 Willys Jeep. It has a 327 Chevy V-8, Dana 44 rear axle, Warn overdrive, full cage, soft top with doors, new battery, newer 31″ tires, fiberglass tub, and a heater. My dad passed away last month, and due to his health he really maybe drove it 100 miles in the last 5 years. It runs and drives great. It fired right up today and i drove it with no mechanical issues. He was a mechanic by trade, so he was meticulous with his rides anyhow.”
This was on eBay. I bid on it for a while, but it got too rich for me. Finally sold for $199.35. Congrats to whomever won it!
“This is a original Willys Jeep Dealer Sales Catalog, the front page is dated 1965. This is roughly 103 sheets of original brochures from Jeep and the Accessory Manufacturers in a three ring binder, making it about 206 pages of information. The front cover says Government Sales. It has the Jeep Universal and Cab Forward models along with all specifications and every approved accessory I could think of and a lot I would never have thought existed. Some pretty interesting accessories from the expected winches, lockout hubs, PTO’s, Cabs, etc. to the unexpected like complete fire fighting units, agriculture equipment, street sweepers, camper shell, aftermarket bodies, wreckers and on and on. The photos just show some of the pages, I used up all of the photos just showing some of the content. It is used and out of dry storage in dry New Mexico so there is no mustiness to it. The pages look like they have been used very little, however it is 50 years old so there is some expected shop wear from age, nothing real major that I could see. I think the photos pretty much show the treasure trove of information in this book better than I can explain it.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $8500

“This Jeep has been the family for nearly 60 years. Runs great and is in excellent condition.”

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was Highest offer gets the jeep.
“It breaks my heart to put this war Jeep up for sale. This old girl went over there and was loved so much they sent her back. She still retains a rebuild tag on the transfer case. It shows it was rebuilt by the ordinance corps in Japan. (see pics) This is a true barn find. Owned by the same family since the 50’s and stayed on a ranch in Montrose, Co. (High desert climate, so very little rust) Still has many of it’s original features as you can see in the pictures, including it’s olive drab steering wheel! Currently is running, driving and stopping. Has new brake and fuel systems. However the tires are pretty weather checked. They hold air and would be fine for trailering.
She currently has an overhead valve engine. I have the flathead engine that came with the Jeep (disassembled, of course) that I will include in the sale. Body is solid with a couple of small rust spots (see pics) frame is rock solid. I have posted a lot of pictures and have many more upon request. Email me with your phone number and WAR JEEP in the subject line. All others will be deleted due to spamming. I will happily return all calls and answer any questions. I am only selling due to an illness in the family. This does not mean I will take any low ball or just plain silly offers. Only Email if you’re serious, already have the money, and permission from your wife. I would like to sell this week to the highest bidder! Do not NEED to sell this week. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. Cash sale only. Will assist with loading.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** This was sold in April of 2015 as well.
“1962 Jeep FC170 (Forward Control). Baby Blue, All Good Glass, Good Body, Engine (Hurricane – 6) and tranny (3 speed manual) are there. 62 fc170 jeep runs needs fuel pump &brake work. Has some rust but really cool rig.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1450.
Frozen f-head.
“This is a mostly original Willys Jeep, the first year for the CJ series. It does have some rust but is repairable. The right side floor was repaired by a previous owner. The motor was swapped out to the later F head overhead valve engine. It is stuck or frozen, and does not turn over. Previous owner said he drove it several years ago and left it parked, so it will probably need a tear down.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $700.
Has rear PTO. Could be some parts value.
“jeep barn find field find as is where is dont know if runs plow rear winch”
Still needs work.
“1946 CJ2a, this jeep has a title. First off, this willy’s isnt perfect. It runs and drives, but still needs some tinkering. I got this jeep about a year ago in a trade and drove it once around the field when i brought it home and been parked in the shop ever since. I want someone to buy this jeep and use it the way it needs to be used. I’ve replaced all of the fluids, and plugs. It will start right up. It just needs to be drove. So what is wrong with it you ask? There is a little rattle when going down the road, It needs a new master cylinder for breaks (old one leaks. 45$ online) its missing one rear shock, and it leaks just a little. (I believe its a couple bolts in t case that need to be tighend, you’ll have to grind down a wrench to get it to fit) The Willy’s has the stock power train except for wider Willy’s truck axles. Its locked front and back, with lock outs on the front. Has a winch on the front but the disengage/engage switch is broke. Winch does work.
I also have the original oil bath air filter to go with it.”
UPDATE: Still Available. The new pic (see top pic) suggests this is a militarized CJ.
(06/22/2015) Needs a little work, but it runs and appears solid.
“1944 ford jeep. motor has $3000.00 worth of work and parts in it. machine work done by bratz machine in Centerville. I only used it for parades and once in awhile to go around town to keep everything lubed. It does need a new carb and a radiator. I can start it so you can hear it run, at present it has a car rad. in it so I can drive it once in awhile. military tires with one combat rim. I also have an extra trans, a transfer case and frount and rear differentials. This is cash and I do not need or want help selling this. as well as scammers forget it I know all your tricks. You bring the money and you take it home no other way.”

The Toledo Blade published this story November 27, 1953. I wish the photos were better. Interestingly, the article doesn’t mention the Zamboni name at all.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3500.
This was for sale back in 2013. Relisted by same owner.
“It’s time to let the old guy go. This very vintage and patina’d Ford GPW has had many great seasons wheeling the gold country. It’s literally logged thousands of miles throughout Nevada, Placer, El Dorado Counties and more. This is a turn key runner driver that is just plain cool. Willys Engine and trans, also Willys axles, but still plenty of cool Ford Script pieces like the seats. This rig has done a little of everything from daily driving duty to he Barrett Lake Jeep Trail. It runs smooth like a Singer and has never left the owner stranded. Pressurized cooling system, 12 volt upgrade, big brakes, and some other period correct mods. This would be great for parking at the cabin or towing behind the RV. Helping my AARP friend sell so call AJ and I can assist with viewing, ”
