It seems the Americans waited until after they landed in France to start teaching some of the GIs how to speak French. Lacking blackboards, they turned to the underside of a jeep hood. The following Fox Movietone silent video clip is a collection of outtakes. The blackboard lesson begins at the 16:22 mark and lasts about a minute.
This includes an overdrive. Could be worth a look.
“1966 Kaiser Jeep CJ6 with Dauntless V6 and 3 speed tranny with Warn overdrive. Jeep is in decent shape with some rust on the tailgate hinge area and front panels. One of the front fenders is damaged pretty bad. The frame and undercarriage is in surprisingly good shape with minimal rust. The jeep has been in our family for 30 years and my uncle did several mods. One- he changed out the steering wheel for a tilt one out of an older Buick, Two- he added a combo light set on the rear instead of the single one, and replaced the seats with something more comfortable. It doesn’t use any oil and has a newer alternator and fuel tank, and I also have the cushions for the rear jump seats. The back seat needs work on the back section, but the jump cushions are in great shape. To my knowledge everything works, including the heater, gauges, 4 wheel drive, stereo. I take it to work occasionally, so it’s very drivable but the brake technology is 50 years old. It also has the tow bar on the front, so transporting it to your favorite trail is much easier. This isn’t a fire sale and the listed price is close to our bottom, so I won’t respond to lowballers. I have a clean CO title and will answer any questions you might have. Thanks for looking.”
The truck be worth a look. It might surprise you, but I’m not a fan of the Wounded Warrior Project. Example 1, Example 2, Example 3 … that’s apart from the fact that when Ann, my combat wounded wife, learned about a local fishing trip and asked if she could go, the WWP told her she couldn’t. Why? Because they don’t support veterans before 2001. However, they are NOT clear about that fact in their advertising.
“1951 Willys Jeep Pickup

The October 26, 1943, Fox Movietone featured a one minute clip about a Toledo, Ohio, Fire Jeep. It appears to be built on a Willys MB Slat Grille. The clip appears at the 6:53 mark of the video. I managed to get a few still images:
