Glenn and Miss Willy couldn’t make the local town parade in Smithfield, Maine, after Miss Willy’s accident, so Glenn’s friends made sure that at least Miss Willy would be there, even if it took a tow truck. That’s how you know you have good friends 🙂
UPDATE: Price dropped to $300.
Neat bit of history.
“Antique desk with numbered plaque on side from Willys Overland Jeep”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
Looks nice.
“Here is my CJ2A for your consideration. I custom built the body, painted it myself (it’s not perfect, i am a novice painter but i get alot of compliments on it, it was supposed to be grey but turned out the off white as you see) and the inside is coated with diy bedliner and the bottom side with POR15, wheelwells were done in diy bedliner also to prevent star bursts in the paint on the top side. The cowl section is the only part that’s ’47, from the dash back including the floor braces (1×2” tubing) it’s all brand new tin. Front clip, windshield frame and tail gate are MD Juan parts.

“I’m looking for a new home for my 1953 Willys. 🙁 My wife and I brought it here in 2013 as a fun weekend toy, but it’s just not getting the LOVE it deserves. We just don’t use it enough as we should and so it’s time to pass it on to someone who can really enjoy it. It’s a great Jeep, it’s been so much fun, I hate too see it go, but it’s time.”
The top seems to fit oddly.
“1953 Willys Jeep, partially restored and garaged for the last 35 years. Body was removed, frame was sand blasted and treated just before the body was rebuilt. Original hood and tailgate were restored, new wiring, lights. The soft top is not an original OEM part. $4,000 or BO.”
This has a fiberglass body. It’s got the wide rim around the back, but isn’t a Parkette or Bobcat. Must have been an eastern make of some kind?

Jim spotted this 1980 Cherokee with a Gladiator grille. It’s a good look, though it seems to me this could effect cooling.

It seems the Americans waited until after they landed in France to start teaching some of the GIs how to speak French. Lacking blackboards, they turned to the underside of a jeep hood. The following Fox Movietone silent video clip is a collection of outtakes. The blackboard lesson begins at the 16:22 mark and lasts about a minute.
This includes an overdrive. Could be worth a look.
“1966 Kaiser Jeep CJ6 with Dauntless V6 and 3 speed tranny with Warn overdrive. Jeep is in decent shape with some rust on the tailgate hinge area and front panels. One of the front fenders is damaged pretty bad. The frame and undercarriage is in surprisingly good shape with minimal rust. The jeep has been in our family for 30 years and my uncle did several mods. One- he changed out the steering wheel for a tilt one out of an older Buick, Two- he added a combo light set on the rear instead of the single one, and replaced the seats with something more comfortable. It doesn’t use any oil and has a newer alternator and fuel tank, and I also have the cushions for the rear jump seats. The back seat needs work on the back section, but the jump cushions are in great shape. To my knowledge everything works, including the heater, gauges, 4 wheel drive, stereo. I take it to work occasionally, so it’s very drivable but the brake technology is 50 years old. It also has the tow bar on the front, so transporting it to your favorite trail is much easier. This isn’t a fire sale and the listed price is close to our bottom, so I won’t respond to lowballers. I have a clean CO title and will answer any questions you might have. Thanks for looking.”
