“I have a old Jeep that was a hunting buggy my uncle and grandfather used it since before I was born. I don’t think it has been cranked in about 10 years. I had it in a old building on some land we owned. I have sold the land and I would like to sell this as well. I already have a old jeep of my own. This jeep has a spring over lift. It has a home made seat and home made floor. It does need some work but would make a very unique ride for deer camp or mud boggs. It is a rare jeep These jeeps are called a cj3b or high hood Cj.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $7000.

This article appeared in the June 9, 1957 issue of the Tuscaloosa News. The photo shows Frank and Helen Schreider , their dog Dinah, and their Ford GPA, La Tortuga. The report covers the period after their Pan American trip. Because of the journey, the Shreiders were elected to the Explorers Club. In the article they tease about going to Indonesia, which of course the eventually did.
This was on eBay.

“DEALER SHOWROOM CLASSIC WILLYS!!! ORIGINAL MILES!! OWNED BY JEEP SERVICE MANAGER!! INVESTMENT GRADE WILLYS WAGON. I BOUGHT IT OFF THEIR SHOWROOM FLOOR SEVERAL YEARS AGO. UNRESTORED ORIGINAL CONDITION. ORIGINAL INTERIOR!!! ALWAYS STARTS RIGHT UP AND RUNS LIKE A SEWING MACHINE. IDLES SO SMOOTH AND QUITE YOU CAN BARELY HEAR IT RUN Cool patina, but also easily buff out. Both dealer and myself think it should be left as is. Runs great. Shifts great. Starts great. 4×4 works great. Doors and windows operate great. All door locks work great. Heater works great. Radio works but doesn’t sound great, never did. Original Willys branded floor rubber in darn good condition. All knobs there and work. Everything seems to be intact , original and working. Won’t find a better kept original.
Original dealer installed Warn overdrive works great. Cruise 60 all day long. Warn hubs work smoothly. Stored in climate controlled warehouse and driven occasionally. Might have a couple of more miles from test drives. ”

“I have a 1951 Willys M38 for sale.
I was planning a complete restoration but seem to lack the time to do so. This vehicle is street legal.
It has been in the family for quite a long time. I purchased it from a cousin and they used it primarily on their hunting lease in South Texas. It has spent the last 20 years of its life covered in a barn.
After purchasing it, I purchased & installed 2 new batteries, 5 new tubes & tires, windshield, windshield molding, shifter boots, front blackout lights, fuel pump & OE fuel tank & cap. I overhauled the carburetor & flushed the cooling system. I also purchased (but have yet to install) some new steering components & speedometer cable.
This would be a great vehicle for hunting season and some local driving.
Please email me with M38 in the subject line so I know your not spam. ”

“This is a running driving Project, I think it’s a 1953 CJ3B. It has an overhead valve motor 72hp, Spicer/Dana 44 rear end, Spicer/Dana 27 front, 4.27 gear ratio, all the gears and transfer case works fine, tires all hold air, decent tread, the motor decent, a little rocker arm noise, #3 cylinder a little low compression, brakes are weak, heater core and radiator good, motor don’t smoke, no water or oil leaks, starts right up, clutch is strong. The gas tank has been cleaned out and epoxy lined and in service. The hood is rough and has surface rust, tail gate surface rust but in good condition, body has been removed and sand blaster, most in primer, bottom side all in primer, frame good and strait, no rust, new diamond plate fender wells and bed, floor pans have been replaced, the tub has not been completed, still needs some welds ground down and finished, it Is still a project. I think it’s a 1953 but there is no data plates on it, No Title, Cash Only.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $6000
(08/04/2015) It has a few mods.
“Selling my 1951 M38. My 51 runs great, it is street legal and all lights/ gauges are operational. Engine is a 1964 Buick Skylark V6.
Comes with a tow bar that mounts in the front. The rear seat is raised and mounts in the back (easy to remove). I have the original engine hood cover if you want to lay down the windshield. Some extra accessories I never got around to install. I also have a remote feeder and rack that attaches into the rear hitch if interested (purchased separately).
I used this a weekend driver (when it’s not 100 degrees) and a hunting vehicle. I have camouflage seat covers for front and rear. All lights have been replaced with LED’s (extremely bright). I’m not in a rush to sell so make me an offer. I have title (clean) and i’m the second owner.
I will leave this AD up until it sells or I decide not to. I lost my ranch in recent hill country floods so I’m hoping it will find a new home where it can be appreciated. Please don’t waste my time with low ball offers.”

The body seems to be sitting on this frame oddly.

UPDATE: **Status Unknown** Was $5500
“CJ-6 Yes It is a CJ-6 not CJ-5. Fairly rare model same as a CJ-5 but 20″ longer. This is a one owner vehicle until I bought it, but has not been on the road since the original owner. I bought this Jeep out of an estate, after original owner passed away. It had been in storage for years. I bought it with intentions of restoring it for my grandson, but that never happened, so I am selling it. When I bought it they claimed it had only 48K original miles, but absolutely no verification of this. It came from the factory with several extras (2nd gas tank, Warn overdrive, Warn winch, non-slip rear differential) factory hard top. Needs restoration, but the original Buick odd fire V6 225 starts and runs great. I did drain and change all of the fluids. This has been a So. Calif. vehicle since new so absolutely no rust or body damage.Call for more information.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $6500.
